Christian Comfort in the Bible Path

Is it even possible, in this day and age with all of the turmoil, sorrow and pure evil all around us to get comfortable, be comfortable and to stay comfortable? The answer is absolutely !!! Let us seek and find truth within the Bible, shall we?

Did you know that Jesus took away our illness and bore sicknesses?

Matthew 8:17

That it might be fulfilled which was spoken by Esaias (Isaiah) the prophet, saying, Himself (Jesus) took our infirmities, and bare our sicknesses ...

This is what Isaiah said who was quoted:

Isaiah 53:4

Surely He hath borne our griefs, and carried our sorrows: yet we did esteem Him stricken, smitten of God, and afflicted.

Peter echoed these words.

1 Peter 2:24

Who His own self bare our sins in His own body on the tree, that we, being dead to sins, should live unto righteousness: by whose stripes ye were healed.

That seems like something to be of Good Comfort about.

1 Peter 2:21-22

21 For even hereunto were ye called: because Christ also suffered for us, leaving us an example, that ye should follow his steps:
22 Who did no sin, neither was guile found in His mouth ...

Get Comfortable and Be Comfortable Tips

So, this is saying that Jesus took our sins as being His own and was punished for us in place of us. What a true Friend we have in Jesus huh? His act was that of a friend taking the blame for a crime that we committed, which had us sentenced to death. That is true unconditional Love.

John 15:13

Greater love hath no man than this, that a man lay down his life for his friends.

Christian Comfort in the Bible Point of Interest ... Funny how we know this and most still refuse to take up their own Cross and completely follow Him.

Matthew 10:38-39

38 And he that taketh not his cross, and followeth after me, is not worthy of me.
39 He that findeth his life shall lose it: and he that loseth his life for my sake shall find it ...

Most have no prob enjoying the good fruits of being a Christian, but tend to lift their brow when they find they have to surrender things that they enjoy from man’s world for this Friend who took their blame and died for them.

Christian Comfort in the Bible Tidbit of Truth ... It is like many “good weather” friends we have here on earth who are happy as a lark when they get their way, but when we say No, they turn on us.

This is why Jesus said;

Matthew 15:8

This people draweth nigh unto me with their mouth, and honoureth me with their lips; but their heart is far from me ...

Biblical Comfort Bible Study Truth
How to Get Comfortable and Be Comfortable

Man just keeps choosing their way over God’s way. They say Amen loudly and proudly when they hear Truth such as Put God first, Love all, forgive all, etc. and step right out and do their own thing as if they knew not what they were taught by our Lord.

Lemme share a couple quick stories from the Bible with ya which may hold the answer to the be of good comfort Bible verse recipe. Christian Comfort in the Bible Story Time ... Most have heard of a miracle where Jesus fed about 5000;

Matthew 14:15-21

15 And when it was evening, His disciples came to Him, saying, This is a desert place, and the time is now past; send the multitude away, that they may go into the villages, and buy themselves victuals.
16 But Jesus said unto them, They need not depart; give ye them to eat.
17 And they say unto him, We have here but five loaves, and two fishes.
18 He said, Bring them hither to me.
19 And He commanded the multitude to sit down on the grass, and took the five loaves, and the two fishes, and looking up to Heaven, He blessed, and brake, and gave the loaves to His disciples, and the disciples to the multitude.
20 And they did all eat, and were filled: and they took up of the fragments that remained twelve baskets full.
21 And they that had eaten were about five thousand men, beside women and children.

He did the same thing later and fed another 4000:

Matthew 15:32-33

32 Then Jesus called His disciples unto Him, and said, I have compassion on the multitude, because they continue with me now three days, and have nothing to eat: and I will not send them away fasting, lest they faint in the way.
33 And His disciples say unto Him, Whence should we have so much bread in the wilderness, as to fill so great a multitude?

Those who saw when Jesus fed the 5000, actually questioned Him as to how the 4000 would be fed. They actually saw the miracle and forgot. Jesus would later have to address this issue:

Matthew 16:6-10

6 Then Jesus said unto them, Take heed and beware of the leaven of the Pharisees and of the Sadducees.
7 And they reasoned among themselves, saying, It is because we have taken no bread.
8 Which when Jesus perceived, he said unto them, O ye of little faith, why reason ye among yourselves, because ye have brought no bread?
9 Do ye not yet understand, neither remember the five loaves of the five thousand, and how many baskets ye took up?
10 Neither the seven loaves of the four thousand, and how many baskets ye took up?

Get Comfortable and Be Comfortable Blessing

Do we do the same thing in our lives? Do we see miracles done for us by our Lord who victoriously brings us out of troubles and then later, when in distress, forget what He had done and choose to live in confusion and doubt, depending on ourselves?

If so, why do ya suppose we do this? Obviously we forget cuz we get so wound up in the trial that is before us that we seem to forget what our Lord told us ...

Matthew 11:28

Come unto Me, all ye that labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest.

Christian Comfort in the Bible Trivia question ... But, how do we bring this to mind during our trials and tribulation?

Be of good comfort Bible verse secret.

Here is an idea ... Post little reminder notes all around your house and vehicle. You know, notes with Scripture every place you go daily. Not only will this assist you during trials and tribulation, but may help you prevent falling into traps.

Here is my fav ...

John 14:16

And I will pray the Father, and He shall give you another Comforter Holy Spirit that He may abide with you forever.

We can be comforted during trials and tribulation forever:

Hear your Lord, my friends ...

John 16:33

These things I have spoken unto you, that in me ye might have peace. In the world ye shall have tribulation: but be of good cheer; I have overcome the world.

What does Jesus mean by us being at peace cuz Jesus already overcame the world?

How to Get Comfortable
Strive to Be Comfortable

It is what we talked about earlier, we have a true Friend in Jesus. His act was that of a Friend taking the blame for a crime that we committed, which had us sentenced to death.

John 15:13

Greater love hath no man than this, that a man lay down his life for his friends.

But now, we are Free:

John 8:36

If the Son therefore shall make you free, ye shall be free indeed.

If we choose to be!

Just know that Jesus already paid the price in FULL and that you need only follow Him. You will fall now and again as you try to baby step in to the Christian Walk and you will stumble as you run in this Spiritual warfare race. We must choose to be patient as we are changed from within.

Hebrews 12:1

Wherefore seeing we also are compassed about with so great a cloud of witnesses, let us lay aside every weight, and the sin which doth so easily beset us, and let us run with patience the race that is set before us.
