CHRISTIAN PROPHECY BIBLE STUDY FACTS FULFILLED PROPHECY IN THE BIBLE EXPLAINED
Prophecy in the Bible is where
God predicted what would happen in
the future through His prophets by
way of prophecy in the Bible and what God
foretold came to pass making it
prophecy fulfilled.
Amos 3:7
Surely the Lord
GOD will do nothing, but He revealeth His secret unto
His servants the Prophets. |
Isaiah 46:9-10 Remember the former things of old: for I am God, and
there is none else; I am God, and there is none like
me, declaring the end from the beginning, and from
ancient times the things that are not yet done,
saying, My counsel shall stand, and I will do all my
pleasure
... |
Isaiah 52:6
Therefore MY people shall know MY name: therefore
they shall know in that day that I Am He that doth
speak: behold it is I. |
Numbers 12:6 And He said, Hear now my words: If there be a prophet
among you, I the LORD will make myself known unto him
in a vision, and will speak unto him in a dream. |
Deuteronomy 13:1-4 If there arise among you a prophet, or a dreamer of
dreams, and giveth thee a sign or a wonder, And the
sign or the wonder come to pass, whereof he spake unto
thee, saying, Let us go after other gods, which thou
hast not known, and let us serve them; Thou shalt not
hearken unto the words of that prophet, or that
dreamer of dreams: for the LORD your God proveth you,
to know whether ye love the LORD your God with all
your heart and with all your soul. Ye shall walk after
the LORD your God, and fear Him, and keep His
commandments, and obey His voice, and ye shall serve
Him, and cleave unto Him. |
Deuteronomy 18:22 When a prophet speaketh in the name of the LORD, if
the thing follow not, nor come to pass, that is the
thing which the LORD hath not spoken, but the prophet
hath spoken it presumptuously: thou shalt not be
afraid of him. |
Jeremiah 28:9 The Prophet which prophesieth of peace, when the word
of the Prophet shall come to pass, then shall the
prophet be known, that the LORD hath truly sent him. |
Matthew 24:24 For there shall arise false Christs, and false
prophets, and shall shew great signs and wonders;
insomuch that, if it were possible, they shall deceive
the very elect. |
CHRISTIAN PROPHECY BIBLE STUDY GIFT FULFILLED PROPHECY IN THE BIBLE PROOFSo, we see
that when a prophet shares God's Word ... It is GOD who is
speaking.
Some prophecy in the Bible is spoken to prophets by God, Jesus,
or the Holy Spirit. Sometimes prophecy in the Bible is given to a prophet
in a dream or vision, and sometimes God uses signs and/or
symbols as prophecy.
Something
to remember is that even though there are prophecies that
are symbolic, most of the prophecies in the Bible are
literal. There are instances where prophets have been shown
prophecy in a dream or vision of the future, known as prophecy fulfilled when they occur, of things they
had never seen before, so their interpretation was according
to their knowledge and life experiences of that day and
time. For instance, 500 years before Christ, nobody had ever
seen a nuclear bomb results or a meteor before, so a person may have described
it as a mountain of fire coming from Heaven and it might be that meteor in prophecy fulfilled . There may also
be cases where symbols were used because if the prophet were
to reveal actual names or places, the messages may have been
confiscated or the prophet may have been imprisoned or even
killed, thereby preventing the Word of God from being
proclaimed.
There are
around 500 Bible prophecy fulfilled from scripture. Some of the prophecy fulfilled occurred
in a relatively short period of time. For instance, the Lord
told Abram (Abraham) that Sarai (Sarah) would have a son in a year (Genesis
18:10) and indeed she did (Genesis
21:1-2). Some other prophecies weren't fulfilled for
a very long time. For instance, Moses spoke of the coming of
Jesus, way back in the days just before the children of
Israel arrived in the Promised Land (Deuteronomy
18:15), and it didn't happen until about 1400 years
later.
In this
Bible prophecy fulfilled study, we'll be taking a look at some prophecy in
the Bible that are now prophecy fulfilled. The first table includes
Bible prophecy fulfilled from the Old Testament. Then there is a section
that shows the different Bible prophecy fulfilled about Jesus.
As you read through the Bible
prophecy fulfilled,
keep in mind to distinguish the writer's words and ask yourself if it is literal, or symbolic.

the Egyptians, and how I bare you on
eagles' wings, and brought you unto
myself. |
Exodus 3:19-20 And I am sure

thereof: and after that he will let
you go.

that I should obey His voice to let
Israel go? I know not the LORD,
neither will I let Israel go.

when we did eat bread to the full;
for ye have brought us forth into
this wilderness, to kill this whole
assembly with hunger. Then said

prove them, whether they will walk
in my law, or no. |
MANNA |
Exodus 16:13-15 And it came to
pass, that at even the quails came

of the wilderness there lay a small
round thing, as small as the hoar
frost on the ground. And when the
children of Israel saw it, they said
one to another, It is manna: for
they wist not what it was. And Moses
said unto them, This is the bread
which the LORD hath given you to
eat. |
Numbers 14:30-33 Doubtless ye
shall not come into the land,
concerning which I sware to make you
dwell therein, save Caleb the son of
Jephunneh, and Joshua the son of
Nun. But your little ones, which ye
said should be a prey, them will I
bring in, and they shall know the
land which ye have despised. But as
for you, your carcasses, they shall
fall in this wilderness. And your
children shall wander in the
wilderness forty years, and bear
your whoredoms, until your carcasses
be wasted in the wilderness. |

space in which we came from

thither. So Moses the servant of the
LORD died there in the land of Moab,
according to the word of the LORD. |

every one unto his city;

Deuteronomy 28:20 The LORD shall
send upon thee cursing, vexation,

Malachi 2:2 If ye will not hear,
and if ye will not lay it to heart,

the pestilence after the manner of

stink of your camps to come up unto
your nostrils: yet have ye not
returned unto me, saith the LORD. |
Deuteronomy 28:22 The LORD shall
smite thee with a consumption, and
with a fever, and with an
inflammation, and with an extreme
burning, and with the sword, and
with blasting, and with mildew; and
they shall pursue thee until thou
perish. |
SMITTEN |

blasting and mildew: when your
gardens and your vineyards and your
fig trees and your olive trees
increased, the palmerworm devoured
them: yet have ye not returned unto
me, saith the LORD. |
Deuteronomy 28:32 Thy sons and
thy daughters shall be given unto
another people, and thine eyes shall

all thy labors, shall a nation which
thou knowest not eat up; and thou
shalt be only oppressed and crushed
alway ... |

Prophet unto king Hezekiah, and said
unto him, What said these men? and
from whence came they unto thee? And
Hezekiah said, They are come from a
far country unto me, even from
Babylon. |
Deuteronomy
28:37 And thou shalt become an
astonishment, a proverb, and a
byword, among all nations whither
the LORD shall lead thee. |
SHAME |
Nehemiah 2:17 Then said I unto
them, Ye see the distress that we
are in, how Jerusalem lieth waste,
and the gates thereof are burned
with fire: come, and let us build up
the wall of Jerusalem, that we be no
more a reproach. |
Deuteronomy
28:38 Thou shalt carry much seed
out into the field, and shalt gather
but little in; for the locust shall
consume it. |

destroyed thee. |
DESOLATION |
Lamentations 4:4-6 The tongue of
the sucking child cleaveth to the
roof of his mouth for thirst: the
young children ask bread, and no man
breaketh it unto them. They that did
feed delicately are desolate in the
streets: they that were brought up
in scarlet embrace dunghills. For
the punishment of the iniquity of
the daughter of my people is greater
than the punishment of the sin of
Sodom, that was overthrown as in a
moment, and no hands stayed on her.
|
Deuteronomy 28:49-50 The LORD
shall bring a nation against thee
from far, from the end of the Earth,

them all into his hand. |

shall eat the fruit of thy cattle,
and the fruit of thy land, until
thou be destroyed: which also shall
not leave thee either corn, wine, or
oil, or the increase of thy kine, or
flocks of thy sheep, until he have
destroyed thee. And he shall besiege
thee in all thy gates, until thy
high and fenced walls come down,
wherein thou trustedst, throughout
all thy land: and he shall besiege
thee in all thy gates throughout all
thy land, which the LORD thy God
hath given thee. |
BESIEGED |
2 Kings 25:1-4 And it came to
pass in the ninth year of his reign,
in the tenth month, in the tenth day
of the month, that Nebuchadnezzar
king of Babylon came, he, and all
his host, against Jerusalem, and
pitched against it; and they built
forts against it round about. And
the city was besieged unto the
eleventh year of king Zedekiah. And
on the ninth day of the fourth month
the famine prevailed in the city,
and there was no bread for the
people of the land. And the city was
broken up, and all the men of war
fled by night by the way of the gate
between two walls, which is by the
king's garden: (now the Chaldees
were against the city round about:)
and the king went the way toward the
plain. |

thy plagues wonderful, and the
plagues of thy seed, even great
plagues, and of long continuance,
and sore sicknesses, and of long
continuance. |
PLAGUES |
Daniel 9:12-14 And He hath
confirmed His words, which He spake
against us, and against our judges
that judged us, by bringing upon us
a great evil: for under the whole
Heaven hath not been done as hath
been done upon Jerusalem. As it is
written in the law of Moses, all
this evil is come upon us: yet made
we not our prayer before the LORD
our God, that we might turn from our
iniquities, and understand thy
TRUTH. Therefore hath the LORD
watched upon the evil, and brought
it upon us: for the LORD our God is
righteous in all His works which He
doeth: for we obeyed not His voice. |
Judges 6:14 And the LORD looked
upon him, and said, Go in this thy
might, and thou shalt save Israel
from the hand of the Midianites:
have not I sent thee? |
GIDEON'S DEFEAT OF THE MIDIANITES |
Judges 8:28 Thus was Midian
subdued before the children of
Israel, so that they lifted up their
heads no more. And the country was
in quietness forty years in the days
of Gideon. |
Joshua 6:26 And Joshua adjured
them at that time, saying, Cursed be
the man before the LORD, that riseth
up and buildeth this city Jericho:
he shall lay the foundation thereof
in his firstborn, and in his
youngest son shall he set up the
gates of it. |
THE MAN WHO REBUILDS JERICHO |
1 Kings 16:34 In his days did
Hiel the Bethelite build Jericho: he
laid the foundation thereof in
Abiram his firstborn, and set up the
gates thereof in his youngest son
Segub, according to the word of the
LORD, which He spake by Joshua the
son of Nun. |
Judges 13:5 For, lo, thou shalt
conceive, and bear a son; and no
razor shall come on his head: for
the child shall be a Nazarite unto
God from the womb: and he shall
begin to deliver Israel out of the
hand of the Philistines. |
BARREN WOMAN TO CONCEIVE SAMSON,
WHO WOULD BEGIN TO DELIVER ISRAEL
FROM THE PHILISTINES |
Judges 16:24 And when the people
saw him, they praised their god: for
they said, Our god hath delivered
into our hands our enemy, and the
destroyer of our country, which slew
many of us.
Judges 16:30 And Samson said,
Let me die with the Philistines. And
he bowed himself with all his might;
and the house fell upon the lords,
and upon all the people that were
therein. So the dead which he slew
at his death were more than they
which he slew in his life. |
1 Samuel 3:11-12-13 And the LORD
said to Samuel, Behold, I will do a
thing in Israel, at which both the
ears of every one that heareth it
shall tingle. In that day I will
perform against Eli all things which
I have spoken concerning his house:
when I begin, I will also make an
end.
For I have told him that I will
judge his house for ever for the
iniquity which he knoweth; because
his sons made themselves vile, and
he restrained them not. |
THE LORD WILL JUDGE ELI |
1 Samuel 4:17-18 And the
messenger answered and said, Israel
is fled before the Philistines, and
there hath been also a great
slaughter among the people, and thy
two sons also, Hophni and Phinehas,
are dead, and the ark of God is
taken. And it came to pass, when he
made mention of the ark of God, that
he fell from off the seat backward
by the side of the gate, and his
neck brake, and he died: for he was
an old man, and heavy. And he had
judged Israel forty years.
|
1 Samuel 13:13-14 And Samuel
said to Saul, Thou hast done
foolishly: thou hast not kept the
commandment of the LORD thy God,
which He commanded thee: for now
would the LORD have established thy
kingdom upon Israel for ever. But
now thy kingdom shall not continue:
the LORD hath sought Him a man after
His own heart, and the LORD hath
commanded him to be captain over His
people, because thou hast not kept
that which the LORD commanded thee. |
SAUL WILL LOSE HIS ANOINTING |
1 Samuel 16:13-14 Then Samuel
took the horn of oil, and anointed
him in the midst of his brethren:
and the Spirit of the LORD came upon
David from that day forward. So
Samuel rose up, and went to Ramah.
But the Spirit of the LORD departed
from Saul, and an evil spirit from
the LORD troubled him. |
1 Samuel 16:11-12 And Samuel
said unto Jesse, Are here all thy
children? And he said, There
remaineth yet the youngest, and,
behold, he keepeth the sheep. And
Samuel said unto Jesse, Send and
fetch him: for we will not sit down
till he come hither. And he sent,
and brought him in. Now he was
ruddy, and withal of a beautiful
countenance, and goodly to look to.
And the LORD said, Arise, anoint
him: for this is he. |
DAVID WILL BE KING |
2 Samuel 5:3-4 So all the elders
of Israel came to the king to
Hebron; and king David made a league
with them in Hebron before the LORD:
and they anointed David king over
Israel. David was thirty years
old when he began to reign, and he
reigned forty years. |
2 Samuel 7:12 And when thy days
be fulfilled, and thou shalt sleep
with thy fathers, I will set up thy
seed after thee, which shall proceed
out of thy bowels, and I will
establish his kingdom.
|
DAVID'S SON TO INHERIT HIS
KINGDOM |
1 Kings 1:39 And Zadok the
priest took an horn of oil out of
the tabernacle, and anointed
Solomon. And they blew the trumpet;
and all the people said, God save
king Solomon. |
2 Samuel 7:12-13 And when thy
days be fulfilled, and thou shalt
sleep with thy fathers, I will set
up thy seed after thee, which shall
proceed out of thy bowels, and I
will establish his kingdom. He shall
build an house for my name, and I
will stablish the throne of his
kingdom for ever. |
SOLOMON WILL BUILD THE TEMPLE |
1 Kings 6:1 And it came to pass
in the four hundred and eightieth
year after the children of Israel
were come out of the land of Egypt,
in the fourth year of Solomon's
reign over Israel, in the month Zif,
which is the second month, that he
began to build the house of the
LORD.
1 Kings 6:38 And in the eleventh
year, in the month Bul, which is the
eighth month, was the house finished
throughout all the parts thereof,
and according to all the fashion of
it. So was he seven years in
building it. |
2 Samuel 12:10 Now therefore the
sword shall never depart from thine
house; because thou hast despised
me, and hast taken the wife of Uriah
the Hittite to be thy wife. |
SWORD NEVER TO DEPART FROM HOUSE
OF DAVID |
1 Chronicles 28:3 But God said
unto me, Thou shalt not build an
house for my name, because thou hast
been a man of war, and hast shed
blood. |
2 Samuel 12:11-12 Thus saith the
LORD, Behold, I will raise up evil
against thee out of thine own house,
and I will take thy wives before
thine eyes, and give them unto thy
neighbor, and he shall lie with thy
wives in the sight of this sun. For
thou didst it secretly: but I will
do this thing before all Israel, and
before the sun. |
EVIL TO BEFALL DAVID OF HIS OWN
HOUSE |
2 Samuel 16:21-22 And Ahithophel
said unto Absalom, Go in unto thy
father's concubines, which he hath
left to keep the house; and all
Israel shall hear that thou art
abhorred of thy father: then shall
the hands of all that are with thee
be strong. So they spread Absalom a
tent upon the top of the house; and
Absalom went in unto his father's
concubines in the sight of all
Israel. |
1 Kings 11:11-13 Wherefore the
LORD said unto Solomon, Forasmuch as
this is done of thee, and thou hast
not kept my covenant and my
statutes, which I have commanded
thee, I will surely rend the kingdom
from thee, and will give it to thy
servant. Notwithstanding in thy days
I will not do it for David thy
father's sake: but I will rend it
out of the hand of thy son. Howbeit
I will not rend away all the
kingdom; but will give one tribe to
thy son for David my servant's sake,
and for Jerusalem's sake which I
have chosen. |
ISRAEL DIVIDED INTO TWO KINGDOMS |
1 Kings 12:21-24 And when
Rehoboam was come to Jerusalem, he
assembled all the house of Judah,
with the tribe of Benjamin, an
hundred and fourscore thousand
chosen men, which were warriors, to
fight against the house of Israel,
to bring the kingdom again to
Rehoboam the son of Solomon. But the
word of God came unto Shemaiah the
man of God, saying, Speak unto
Rehoboam, the son of Solomon, king
of Judah, and unto all the house of
Judah and Benjamin, and to the
remnant of the people, saying, Thus
saith the LORD, Ye shall not go up,
nor fight against your brethren the
children of Israel: return every man
to his house; for this thing is from
me. They hearkened therefore to the
word of the LORD, and returned to
depart, according to the word of the
LORD. |
1 Kings 13:2 And he cried
against the altar in the word of the
LORD, and said, O altar, altar, thus
saith the LORD; Behold, a child
shall be born unto the house of
David, Josiah by name; and upon thee
shall he offer the priests of the
high places that burn incense upon
thee, and men's bones shall be burnt
upon thee. |
JOSIAH TO REFORM JUDAH |
2 Kings 23:15-16 Moreover the
altar that was at Bethel, and the
high place which Jeroboam the son of
Nebat, who made Israel to sin, had
made, both that altar and the high
place he brake down, and burned the
high place, and stamped it small to
powder, and burned the grove. And as
Josiah turned himself, he spied the
sepulchres that were there in the
mount, and sent, and took the bones
out of the sepulchres, and burned
them upon the altar, and polluted
it, according to the word of the
LORD which the man of God
proclaimed, who proclaimed these
words. |
1 Kings 16:3 Behold, I will take
away the posterity of Baasha, and
the posterity of his house; and will
make thy house like the house of
Jeroboam the son of Nebat.
1 Kings 16:7 And also by the
hand of the Prophet Jehu the son of
Hanani came the word of the LORD
against Baasha, and against his
house, even for all the evil that he
did in the sight of the LORD, in
provoking Him to anger with the work
of his hands, in being like the
house of Jeroboam; and because he
killed him. |
BAASHA'S POSTERITY TO BE CUT OFF |
1 Kings 16:11-12 And it came to
pass, when he began to reign, as
soon as he sat on his throne, that
he slew all the house of Baasha: he
left him not one that pisseth
against a wall, neither of his
kinsfolk, nor of his friends. Thus
did Zimri destroy all the house of
Baasha, according to the word of the
LORD, which He spake against Baasha
by Jehu the Prophet. |
1 Kings 17:1 And Elijah the
Tishbite, who was of the inhabitants
of Gilead, said unto Ahab, As the
LORD God of Israel liveth, before
whom I stand, there shall not be dew
nor rain these years, but according
to my word. |
NO RAIN FOR 3 YEARS |
1 Kings 18:1 And it came to pass
after many days, that the word of
the LORD came to Elijah in the third
year, saying, Go, show thyself unto
Ahab; and I will send rain upon the
Earth.

pass in the mean while, that the
Heaven was black with clouds and
wind, and there was a great rain.
And Ahab rode, and went to Jezreel. |
1 Kings 18:24 And call ye on the
name of your gods, and I will call
on the name of the LORD: and the God
that answereth by fire, let Him be
God. And all the people answered and
said, It is well spoken. |
THE LORD WILL ANSWER BY FIRE |
1 Kings 18:38 Then the fire of
the LORD fell, and consumed the
burnt sacrifice, and the wood, and
the stones, and the dust, and licked
up the water that was in the trench.
1 Kings 18:39 And when all the
people saw it, they fell on their
faces: and they said, The LORD, He
is the God; the LORD, He is the God. |
1 Kings 21:21 Behold, I will
bring evil upon thee, and will take
away thy posterity, and will cut off
from Ahab him that pisseth against
the wall, and him that is shut up
and left in Israel ... |
AHAB'S NAME WILL BE BLOTTED OUT OF
ISRAEL |
2 Kings 10:7 And it came to
pass, when the letter came to them,
that they took the king's sons, and
slew seventy persons, and put their
heads in baskets, and sent him them
to Jezreel. |
1 Kings 21:23 And of Jezebel
also spake the LORD, saying, The
dogs shall eat Jezebel by the wall
of Jezreel. |
JEZEBEL WILL BE EATEN BY DOGS |
2 Kings 9:34-37 And when he was
come in, he did eat and drink, and
said, Go, see now this cursed woman,
and bury her: for she is a king's
daughter. And they went to bury her:
but they found no more of her than
the skull, and the feet, and the
palms of her hands. Wherefore they
came again, and told him. And he
said, This is the word of the LORD,
which He spake by His servant Elijah
the Tishbite, saying, In the portion
of Jezreel shall dogs eat the flesh
of Jezebel: And the carcass of
Jezebel shall be as dung upon the
face of the field in the portion of
Jezreel; so that they shall not say,
This is Jezebel.
|
1 Kings 21:19 And thou shalt
speak unto him, saying, Thus saith
the LORD, Hast thou killed, and also
taken possession? And thou shalt
speak unto him, saying, Thus saith
the LORD, In the place where dogs
licked the blood of Naboth shall
dogs lick thy blood, even thine. |
THE DEMISE OF AHAB |

unto Jehu, Because thou hast done
well in executing that which is
right in mine eyes, and hast done
unto the house of Ahab according to
all that was in mine heart, thy
children of the fourth generation
shall sit on the throne of Israel. |
JEHU'S SONS TO SIT ON THRONE TO
4TH GENERATION |
2 Kings 15:12 This was the word
of the LORD which He spake unto
Jehu, saying, Thy sons shall sit on
the throne of Israel unto the fourth
generation. And so it came to pass. |
2 Kings 13:18-19 And he said,
Take the arrows. And he took them.
And he said unto the king of Israel,
Smite upon the ground. And he smote
thrice, and stayed. And the man
of God was wroth with him, and said,
Thou shouldest have smitten five or
six times; then hadst thou smitten
Syria till thou hadst consumed it:
whereas now thou shalt smite Syria
but thrice. |
ISRAEL TO ATTACK SYRIA 3 TIMES |
2 Kings 13:25 And Jehoash the
son of Jehoahaz took again out of
the hand of Benhadad the son of
Hazael the cities, which he had
taken out of the hand of Jehoahaz
his father by war. Three times did
Joash beat him, and recovered the
cities of Israel. |
2 Kings 19:6-7 And Isaiah said
unto them, Thus shall ye say to your
master, Thus saith the LORD, Be not
afraid of the words which thou hast
heard, with which the servants of
the king of Assyria have blasphemed
me. Behold, I will send a blast upon
him, and he shall hear a rumor, and
shall return to his own land; and I
will cause him to fall by the sword
in his own land.
Isaiah 37:6-7 And Isaiah said
unto them, Thus shall ye say unto
your master, Thus saith the LORD, Be
not afraid of the words that thou
hast heard, wherewith the servants
of the king of Assyria have
blasphemed me. Behold, I will send a
blast upon him, and he shall hear a
rumour, and return to his own land;
and I will cause him to fall by the
sword in his own land. |
ASSYRIA WILL BE SUBDUED |
2 Kings 19:37 And it came to
pass, as he was worshipping in the
house of Nisroch his god, that
Adrammelech and Sharezer his sons
smote him with the sword: and they
escaped into the land of Armenia.
And Esarhaddon his son reigned in
his stead.
Isaiah 37:38 Then the Angel of
the LORD went forth, and smote in
the camp of the Assyrians a hundred
and fourscore and five thousand: and

corpses. And it came to pass, as he
was worshipping in the house of
Nisroch his god, that Adrammelech
and Sharezer his sons smote him with
the sword; and they escaped into the
land of Armenia: and Esarhaddon his
son reigned in his stead. |
2 Kings 20:8-10 And Hezekiah
said unto Isaiah, What shall be the
sign that the LORD will heal me, and
that I shall go up into the house of
the LORD the third day? And Isaiah
said, This sign shalt thou have of
the LORD, that the LORD will do the
thing that He hath spoken: shall the
shadow go forward ten degrees, or go
back ten degrees? And Hezekiah
answered, It is a light thing for
the shadow to go down ten degrees:
nay, but let the shadow return
backward ten degrees. |
THE HEALING OF HEZEKIAH |
2 Kings 20:11 And Isaiah the
Prophet cried unto the LORD: and He
brought the shadow ten degrees
backward, by which it had gone down
in the dial of Ahaz. |
2 Kings 20:16-18
And Isaiah said unto Hezekiah,
Hear the word of the LORD. Behold,
the days come, that all that is in
thine house, and that which thy
fathers have laid up in store unto
this day, shall be carried into
Babylon: nothing shall be left,
saith the LORD. And of thy sons that
shall issue from thee, which thou
shalt beget, shall they take away;
and they shall be eunuchs in the
palace of the king of Babylon. |
BABYLONIAN CAPTIVITY |
2 Kings 24:11-13 And
Nebuchadnezzar king of Babylon came
against the city, and his servants
did besiege it. And Jehoiachin the
king of Judah went out to the king
of Babylon, he, and his mother, and
his servants, and his princes, and
his officers: and the king of
Babylon took him in the eighth year
of his reign. And he carried out
thence all the treasures of the
house of the LORD, and the treasures
of the king's house, and cut in
pieces all the vessels of gold which
Solomon king of Israel had made in
the temple of the LORD, as the LORD
had said. |
Isaiah 6:9-10 And He said, Go,
and tell this people, Hear ye
indeed, but understand not; and see
ye indeed, but perceive not. Make
the heart of this people fat, and
make their ears heavy, and shut
their eyes; lest they see with their
eyes, and hear with their ears, and
understand with their heart, and
convert, and be healed. |
SEEING THEY WILL NOT PERCEIVE,
HEARING THEY WILL NOT UNDERSTAND |
John 12:39-40 Therefore they
could not believe, because that
Esaias said again, He hath blinded
their eyes, and hardened their
heart; that they should not see with
their eyes, nor understand with
their heart, and be converted, and I
should heal them.
|
Isaiah 10:20-22 And it shall
come to pass in that day, that the
remnant of Israel, and such as are
escaped of the house of Jacob, shall
no more again stay upon him that
smote them; but shall stay upon the
LORD, the Holy One of Israel, in
TRUTH. The remnant shall return,
even the remnant of Jacob, unto the
mighty God. For though thy people
Israel be as the sand of the sea,
yet a remnant of them shall return:
the consumption decreed shall
overflow with righteousness. |
A REMNANT SHALL RETURN TO ISRAEL |
Ezra 2:64-65 The whole
congregation together was forty and

and seven: and there were among them
two hundred singing men and singing
women.

had two hundred forty and five
singing men and singing women. |

and in the days of Jeroboam the son
of Joash king of Israel, two years
before the earthquake.
Zechariah 14:5 And ye shall flee
to the valley of the mountains; for
the valley of the mountains shall
reach unto Azal: yea, ye shall flee,
like as ye fled from before the
earthquake in the days of Uzziah
king of Judah: and the LORD my God
shall come, and all the Saints with
thee. |

that crieth in the wilderness,
Prepare ye the way of the LORD, make

prepare the way before me: and the

delight in: behold, He shall come,
saith the LORD of hosts. |
PROPHECY OF THE FORERUNNER |
Matthew 3:1-3 In those days came
John the Baptist, preaching in the
wilderness of Judaea, And saying,
Repent ye: for the Kingdom of Heaven
is at hand. For this is he that was
spoken of by the Prophet Esaias,
saying, The voice of one crying in
the wilderness, Prepare ye the way
of the Lord, make His paths
straight. |
Jeremiah 21:12-13 O house of
David, thus saith the LORD; Execute
judgment in the morning, and deliver
him that is spoiled out of the hand
of the oppressor, lest my fury go
out like fire, and burn that none
can quench it, because of the evil
of your doings. Behold, I am against
thee, O inhabitant of the valley,
and rock of the plain, saith the
LORD; which say, Who shall come down
against us? or who shall enter into
our habitations? |
GOD'S FURY A KINDLED FIRE |
Lamentations 4:11-12 The LORD
hath accomplished His fury; He hath
poured out His fierce anger, and
hath kindled a fire in Zion, and it
hath devoured the foundations
thereof. The kings of the Earth, and
all the inhabitants of the world,
would not have believed that the
adversary and the enemy should have
entered into the gates of Jerusalem. |
Jeremiah 25:9 Behold, I will
send and take all the families of
the north, saith the LORD, and
Nebuchadrezzar the king of Babylon,
my servant, and will bring them
against this land, and against the
inhabitants thereof, and against all
these nations round about, and will
utterly destroy them, and make them
an astonishment, and an hissing, and
perpetual desolations. |
BABYLON TO CARRY CHILDREN OF
ISRAEL AWAY INTO CAPTIVITY |
2 Kings 24:1-2 In his days
Nebuchadnezzar king of Babylon came
up, and Jehoiakim became his servant
three years: then he turned and
rebelled against him. And the
LORD sent against him bands of the
Chaldees, and bands of the Syrians,
and bands of the Moabites, and bands
of the children of Ammon, and sent
them against Judah to destroy it,
according to the word of the LORD,
which He spake by His servants the
Prophets. |
Jeremiah 27:21-22 Yea, thus
saith the LORD of hosts, the God of
Israel, concerning the vessels that
remain in the house of the LORD, and
in the house of the king of Judah
and of Jerusalem; They shall be
carried to Babylon, and there shall
they be until the day that I visit
them, saith the LORD; then will I
bring them up, and restore them to
this place. |
HOLY VESSELS WILL BE TAKEN TO
BABYLON, THEN RETURNED TO JERUSALEM |
Daniel 1:1-2 In the third year
of the reign of Jehoiakim king of
Judah came Nebuchadnezzar king of
Babylon unto Jerusalem, and besieged
it. And the Lord gave Jehoiakim king

the vessels of the house of God:
which he carried into the land of

he brought the vessels into the
treasure house of his god.

the LORD, That after seventy years
be accomplished at Babylon I will
visit you, and perform my good word
toward you, in causing you to return
to this place. |
PROMISE OF ISRAEL'S RETURN FROM
CAPTIVITY |
Ezra
2:1
Now these are the children of the
province that went up out of the
captivity, of those which had been
carried away, whom Nebuchadnezzar
the king of Babylon had carried away
unto Babylon, and came again unto
Jerusalem and Judah, every one unto
his city ... |
Jeremiah 32:37-38 Behold, I will
gather them out of all countries,
whither I have driven them in mine
anger, and in my fury, and in great
wrath; and I will bring them again
unto this place, and I will cause
them to dwell safely: And they shall
be my people, and I will be their
God ... |
ISRAEL WILL RETURN FROM CAPTIVITY |
Isaiah 44:24 Thus saith the
LORD, thy redeemer, and He that
formed thee from the womb, I am the
LORD that maketh all things; that
stretcheth forth the heavens alone;
that spreadeth abroad the Earth by
myself;

and to the temple, Thy foundation
shall be laid.

of Cyrus king of Persia, that the
word of the LORD by the mouth of
Jeremiah might be fulfilled, the
LORD stirred up the spirit of Cyrus
king of Persia, that he made a
proclamation throughout all his
kingdom, and put it also in writing,
saying, Thus saith Cyrus king of
Persia, The LORD God of Heaven hath
given me all the kingdoms of the
Earth; and He hath charged me to
build Him an house at Jerusalem,
which is in Judah.
Ezra 2:1 Now these are the
children of the province that went
up out of the captivity, of those
which had been carried away, whom

had carried away unto Babylon, and
came again unto Jerusalem and Judah,
every one unto his city ... |

into you, and ye shall live ... |

He commanded me, and the breath came
into them, and they lived, and stood
up upon their feet, an exceeding

|
Daniel 4:24-26 This is the
interpretation, O king, and this is
the decree of the most High, which
is come upon my lord the king: That
they shall drive thee from men, and
thy dwelling shall be with the
beasts of the field, and they shall
make thee to eat grass as oxen, and
they shall wet thee with the dew of
Heaven, and seven times shall pass
over thee, till thou know that the
most High ruleth in the kingdom of
men, and giveth it to whomsoever He
will. And whereas they commanded to
leave the stump of the tree roots;
thy kingdom shall be sure unto thee,
after that thou shalt have known
that the heavens do rule. |
NEBUCHADNEZZAR'S DREAM OF THE
TREE |
Daniel 4:33-37 The same hour was
the thing fulfilled upon
Nebuchadnezzar: and he was driven
from men, and did eat grass as oxen,
and his body was wet with the dew of
Heaven, till his hairs were grown
like eagles' feathers, and his nails
like birds' claws. And at the end of
the days I Nebuchadnezzar lifted up
mine eyes unto Heaven, and mine
understanding returned unto me, and
I blessed the most High, and I
praised and honoured Him that liveth
for ever, whose dominion is an
everlasting dominion, and His
Kingdom is from generation to
generation: And all the inhabitants
of the Earth are reputed as nothing:
and He doeth according to His will
in the army of Heaven, and among the
inhabitants of the Earth: and none
can stay His hand, or say unto Him,
What doest thou? At the same time my
reason returned unto me; and for the
glory of my kingdom, mine honour and
brightness returned unto me; and my
counsellors and my lords sought unto
me; and I was established in my
kingdom, and excellent majesty was
added unto me. Now I Nebuchadnezzar
praise and extol and honour the King
of Heaven, all whose works are
TRUTH, and His ways judgment: and
those that walk in pride He is able
to abase. |
Daniel 5:5 In the same hour came
forth fingers of a man's hand, and
wrote over against the candlestick
upon the plaister of the wall of the
king's palace: and the king saw the
part of the hand that wrote.
Daniel 5:25-28 And this is the
writing that was written, MENE,
MENE, TEKEL, UPHARSIN. This is the
interpretation of the thing: MENE;
God hath numbered thy kingdom, and
finished it. TEKEL; Thou art weighed
in the balances, and art found
wanting. PERES; Thy kingdom is
divided, and given to the Medes and
Persians. |
KINGDOM TAKEN FROM BELSHAZZAR |
Daniel 5:30-31 In that night was
Belshazzar the king of the Chaldeans
slain. And Darius the Median took
the kingdom, being about threescore
and two years old. |
