Move a Mountain

Faith Can Move a Mountain

Move a Mountain Bible Study
Faith Can Move a Mountain Scripture

Let us begin, shall we? According to the Lord, our faith can move a mountain. The Faith that we share as Christians, is what makes us brethren. This one word has the ability to make total strangers have such a powerful common bond. Did you know that the Grace of God, that we cherish above all blessings, is only given to us through our Faith in Jesus Christ?

John 3:16

For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.

John 1:12

But as many as received Him, to them gave He power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on His name.

John 6:29

Jesus answered and said unto them, This is the work of God, that ye believe on Him whom He hath sent.

Romans 5:1-2

1 Therefore being justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ:
2 By whom also we have access by faith into this grace wherein we stand, and rejoice in hope of the glory of God.

Move a Mountain With Faith
Faith Can Move a Mountain Promise

This Old Testament ... The Old Covenant ... The Old Promises ... Were attained by following the law. Sins were forgiven through sacrifice and offering. But mankind had done so much bad, that all the sacrificing in the world would not cleanse away the sin. So God replaced the Old Covenant (Old Testament) with the New Covenant (New Testament) and the new promise is this ... Jesus is the sacrifice. Believing in Jesus, cleanses away our sins, which is what Grace is all about. The new law is Faith.

Hebrews 8:8-12

8 For finding fault with them, He saith, Behold, the days come, saith the Lord, when I will make a new covenant with the house of Israel and with the house of Judah:
9 Not according to the covenant that I made with their fathers in the day when I took them by the hand to lead them out of the land of Egypt; because they continued not in my covenant, and I regarded them not, saith the Lord.
10 For this is the covenant that I will make with the house of Israel after those days, saith the Lord; I will put my laws into their mind, and write them in their hearts: and I will be to them a God, and they shall be to me a people:
11 And they shall not teach every man his neighbour, and every man his brother, saying, Know the Lord: for all shall know me, from the least to the greatest.
12 For I will be merciful to their unrighteousness, and their sins and their iniquities will I remember no more.

So Faith is now the way:

Galatians 2:16

Knowing that a man is not justified by the works of the law, but by the faith of Jesus Christ, even we have believed in Jesus Christ, that we might be justified by the Faith of Christ, and not by the works of the law: for by the works of the law shall no flesh be justified.

Faith is the Christian's shield against the enemy of our soul.

Ephesians 6:16

Above all, taking the shield of faith, wherewith ye shall be able to quench all the fiery darts of the wicked.

We are sanctified by faith.

Acts 26:18

To open their eyes, and to turn them from darkness to light, and from the power of Satan unto God, that they may receive forgiveness of sins, and inheritance among them which are sanctified by faith that is in me.

Faith comes from the Word of God.

Romans 10:17

So then faith cometh by hearing, and hearing by the Word of God.

Move a Mountain With Your Belief
Jesus Said That Faith Can Move a Mountain

Check this out ...

Matthew 21:18-22

18 Now in the morning as He [Jesus] returned into the city, He hungered.
19 And when He saw a fig tree in the way, He came to it, and found nothing thereon, but leaves only, and said unto it, Let no fruit grow on thee henceforward for ever. And presently the fig tree withered away.
20 And when the disciples saw it, they marvelled, saying, How soon is the fig tree withered away!
21 Jesus answered and said unto them, Verily I say unto you, If ye have faith, and doubt not, ye shall not only do this which is done to the fig tree, but also if ye shall say unto this mountain, Be thou removed, and be thou cast into the sea; it shall be done.
22 And all things, whatsoever ye shall ask in prayer, believing, ye shall receive.

So, Christians have this Promise of power within and choose not to use it in their day to day lives. This is something we should all ponder on more. This is a promise. If we will only apply more faith, we can change external conditions in our lives. Most do not attain the power Jesus spoke of because of their lack of Faith in the unseen.

Hebrews 11:1

Now Faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen.

Then there are the others who are like Peter when he saw his external conditions, began to sink when he was walking on water before he saw the waves.

Matthew 14:29-30

29 And He said, Come. And when Peter was come down out of the ship, he walked on the water, to go to Jesus.
30 But when he saw the wind boisterous, he was afraid; and beginning to sink, he cried, saying, Lord, save me.

But come on, how are we to hold this Faith during trials and tribulations? It is so hard to believe when surrounded with problems. We are to wear our Faith as a shield:

1 Thessalonians 5:8

But let us, who are of the day, be sober, putting on the breastplate of Faith and love; and for an helmet, the hope of salvation.

Move a Mountain With The Holy Spirit
Faith Can Move a Mountain Vow

Faith is a gift from the Holy Spirit.

1 Corinthians 12:9

To another Faith by the same Spirit; to another the gifts of healing by the same Spirit;

Faith is a fruit of the Spirit.

Galatians 5:22

But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, gentleness, goodness, Faith,

So the Faith we seek comes from the Holy Spirit.

John 7:39

But this spake He of the Spirit, which they that believe on Him should receive.

When you receive the Holy Spirit, it happens by the hearing of Faith.

Galatians 3:2

This only would I learn of you, Received ye the Spirit by the works of the law, or by the hearing of Faith?

Can You Move a Mountain
Just a Little Faith Can Move a Mountain

Think about it ... Did you first sense the Holy Spirit when learning about God or some good deed you were doing?

Hebrews 11:6

But without faith, it is impossible to please Him: for he that cometh to God must believe that He is, and that He is a rewarder of them that diligently seek Him.

Wow ... It is impossible to please God without having Faith. So, how does the world try and steal our Faith? Sure trials and tribulation test us but there are others out there who seem to have it their life's mission to rob us of our Faith.

1 Timothy 6:20-21

O Timothy, keep that which is committed to thy trust, avoiding profane and vain babblings, and oppositions of science falsely so called: which some professing have erred concerning the Faith.

So, when you hear ridiculous things like the big bang theory, evolution and this kinda thing, which are the devil's ways of trying to shake our Faith through science, don't believe them. Faith needs no proof, or it wouldn't be Faith. If something can be proven, there is no need to have Faith in it. We are taught to have Faith.

So, how do we explain away dinosaurs and bones in the earth for millions of years when the Bible suggests the earth is much younger?

Move a Mountain Bible Origins
Faith Can Move a Mountain Power

We need to hold our Faith regardless. I want to show you 4 interesting Scriptures;

Genesis 1:1-2

1 In the beginning God created the heaven and the earth.
2 And the earth was without form, and void; and darkness was upon the face of the deep. And the Spirit of God moved upon the face of the waters.

Jeremiah 4:22-27

22 For my people is foolish, they have not known me; they are sottish children, and they have none understanding: they are wise to do evil, but to do good they have no knowledge.
23 I beheld the earth, and, lo, it was without form, and void; and the heavens, and they had no light.
24 I beheld the mountains, and, lo, they trembled, and all the hills moved lightly.
25 I beheld, and, lo, there was no man, and all the birds of the heavens were fled.
26 I beheld, and, lo, the fruitful place was a wilderness, and all the cities thereof were broken down at the presence of the Lord, and by his fierce anger.
27 For thus hath the Lord said, The whole land shall be desolate; yet will I not make a full end.

Isaiah 65:17

For, behold, I create new Heavens and a new earth: and the former shall not be remembered, nor come into mind.

Revelation 21:1

And I saw a new heaven and a new earth: for the first heaven and the first earth were passed away; and there was no more sea.

It is obvious the earth somehow becomes without form and void from something and God said He was going to do so, but that He would not make a full end and He said that He would make a New Heaven and New Earth.

Could this mean renewed? Perhaps God recreated the Heaven and Earth in the beginning of the Bible and will do it again as the Bible says? What if God regenerates the Earth every so often as to cleanse it as these Scriptures possibly suggest and what is in the earth remains, like bones of beasts and humans that died ... Even dinosaurs.

Move a Mountain Bible Quest
Faith Can Move a Mountain Today

This would include dinosaurs which may have been some of the first creatures that God created long ago in some of these earlier regeneration cycles. Like dragons ... Check these 3 Scriptures out;

Psalm 104:26

There go the ships: there is that leviathan, whom thou hast made to play therein.

Isaiah 27:1

In that day the Lord with his sore and great and strong sword shall punish leviathan the piercing serpent, even leviathan that crooked serpent; and he shall slay the dragon that is in the sea.

Job 41:1-10

1 Canst thou draw out leviathan with an hook? or his tongue with a cord which thou lettest down?
2 Canst thou put an hook into his nose? or bore his jaw through with a thorn?
3 Will he make many supplications unto thee? will he speak soft words unto thee?
4 Will he make a covenant with thee? wilt thou take him for a servant for ever?
5 Wilt thou play with him as with a bird? or wilt thou bind him for thy maidens?
6 Shall the companions make a banquet of him? shall they part him among the merchants?
7 Canst thou fill his skin with barbed irons? or his head with fish spears?
8 Lay thine hand upon him, remember the battle, do no more.
9 Behold, the hope of him is in vain: shall not one be cast down even at the sight of him?
10 None is so fierce that dare stir him up: who then is able to stand before me?

What is this creature that is described as a dragon? It is described as a sea creature of some sort. Many say whales and other large sea creatures, but it said dragon. Could it be referring to some creature that was and is not any longer?

Satan is also called the dragon ...

Revelation 20:2

And He laid hold on the dragon, that old serpent, which is the Devil, and Satan, and bound him a thousand years,

Move a Mountain Warning
Faith Can Move a Mountain Danger

The point is ... If we limit our Faith to the carnal mind of mankind without allowing room for things man cannot understand the Spiritual aspect, our Faith is in danger.

1 Corinthians 2:5

That your Faith should not stand in the wisdom of men, but in the power of God.

These men and women that use Science to try and prove there is no God are only confirming there is one. They are only trying to discover how God did what He did with their limited resources and limited imagination. Good luck trying to outdo God huh? No, we are not to allow these "vain babblings" to deceive us and we are to keep our Faith in check.

We are to continually check our Faith level.

2 Corinthians 13:5

Examine yourselves, whether ye be in the faith; prove your own selves. Know ye not your own selves, how that Jesus Christ is in you.

When you were a child, you possessed this awesome gift known as Faith. It is yours. It can not just up and leave you. Nobody can take it. It can however be hidden deep within by you due to doubt, fear, pain, worldly ways and past experiences.

Jesus said:

Matthew 18:3

Verily I say unto you, Except ye be converted, and become as little children, ye shall not enter into the Kingdom of Heaven.

Move a Mountain Path to Perfection
Faith Can Move a Mountain Steps

Ask the Holy Spirit to help you reach within and bring forth the childlike Faith that is inside of you! Just to make this perfectly clear ... Here is the chain of events according to God's Word:

Once faith is established, we add other ingredients:

2 Peter 1:5-7

5 And beside this, giving all diligence, add to your faith virtue; and to virtue knowledge;
6 And to knowledge temperance; and to temperance patience; and to patience godliness;
7 And to godliness brotherly kindness; and to brotherly kindness charity.

Your Faith comes from understanding, and your understanding comes from the Holy Spirit. And in order to strengthen our Faith, it stands to reason that we should strengthen our relationship with the Holy Spirit, who is the Comforter of Christians left here for us by Jesus. The more you allow the Holy Spirit to work within you, the more Faith you will have.

Move a Mountain Summary
Faith Can Move a Mountain Conclusion

Let's use the promised power of Faith within each of us to move a mountain in our lives as to enjoy our Christian walk and to better serve our Lord.
