Psalms 27:14
Wait on the LORD: be of good courage, and He shall strengthen thine heart: wait, I say, on the LORD.
Good things come to those who wait. I trust that you're waiting at the end of each step for the next day to continue on. It's a great thing you're doing!
Good day my friend! I'm happy to join you again here on The Path.
Today we've got a lot of ground to (un)cover. What I mean is, I'll be
showing you another very important, very effective way of clearing
out weeds in your garden, and how to manage those stubborn ones that
want to keep coming back.
You Are the Temple of God
At the last Stepping Stone, I shared a scripture with you that the
Apostle Paul wrote. He said that you are the Temple of God. You're
about to find out exactly what that means and then you will be able
to use your new knowledge and understanding to help you deal with
your problem(s) ...
Ready to go on a little adventure with me?
1 Corinthians 6:19-20
19 What? know ye not that your body is the temple of
the Holy Ghost which is in you, which ye have of God, and ye are
not your own?
20 For ye are bought with a price: therefore glorify God
in your body, and in your spirit, which are God's.
God used to reveal His presence in a tabernacle and the Temple.
This is a general diagram of the Temple of God.
There are three distinct levels to the Temple of God. There are three
levels to the physical structure that was built, and there are three
levels to you (as the Temple of God).
Okay, now, I want you to think of this in terms of your home. Outside
of your home, there is ... The rest of the world. That would be like
outside the actual building in the courtyard of the Temple, where all
God's people were allowed and all people of the world are allowed to
wander into your world.
Then, (looking back at the diagram) the Holy Place is where the
priests ministered. That would be like inside your home where only
those you invite in are allowed. You don't let strangers wander in,
but family and friends are welcome there.
Then there is the Most Holy Place, which is called the Holy of
Holies, where the presence of God was, and generally speaking, nobody
was allowed in there except for God's chosen people. That would be
like your diary or hope chest. It's private and sacred to you . . .
It's where you have all your secrets stored. It's a sanctuary to you.
It's a sacred place where you invite the presence of God, and commune
with Him.

Let's take this principle one step further focusing on the Truth ...
you are the Temple of God.
Your body (flesh) is what everyone sees. Your mind (soul) is only
shared with those that you choose to share it with by sharing
thoughts. Things from the outside world are allowed into your mind
(soul) through sight, sound, smell, touch, taste and thought but you
get to determine what you allow within or believe.
Then the Holy of Holies is your emotions which spring forth from your
heart (spirit). This is the place that you want kept sacred. This is
the secret place. You must beware letting outside influences to ever
affect your spirit. You must control what thoughts you allow within
your secret place. Failure to do so can have someone using you like a
puppet. You know the old cliché ... Don't push my buttons.
This is the reason you feel as you do when there is a problem. You
have allowed something or someone to place thoughts in your mind
(soul) which you (at the time) accepted as Truth or at least the way
things were and your emotions (spirit) reacted. You have allowed this
thought to grieve your spirit and what you are experiencing is the
result.
Remember to control your thoughts as we are taught to do, by renewing
our minds daily.
Romans 12:2
And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the
renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and
acceptable, and perfect, will of God.
2 Corinthians 4:16
For which cause we faint not; but though our outward man perish, yet
the inward man is renewed day by day.
You must only allow Truth to abide within your Spiritual place.

When something enters in that is not Truth, you must eject it by
telling the Truth to yourself, and the lie must leave. If you accept
something as Truth, it is planted in your subconscious mind, and it
remains there awaiting your spirit to act on said thought, even when
you are not consciously thinking on it.
Let me give you an example ... Have you ever been having a
Son-sational day and all of the sudden you feel terrible and know
something is wrong, but cannot think of what it is? Then, you kinda
ponder on it and Wham the bad thought comes to mind.
Another example is you are leaving your home and you sense this
feeling like you are forgetting something but have no idea what it is
until you sit there and ponder then Wham, you remember what it
was and the feeling goes away.
These are "suppressed thoughts" ... You allowed something in your
mind and it lied dormant but your spirit reacts to it whether you are
conscious of the actual thought or not. In the second case you told
yourself to remember something and tho you forgot, your subconscious
mind ... Did not. Your spirit reacted to that thought.
In like manner ... The weeds in your garden are things that you've
accepted within whether it be from you or another source and
since you have not dealt with it, but it is in there, it keeps
sending a warning of sorts that it needs to be dealt with.
Now most like to just sweep their problems under the rug (so to
speak) and try and just push the thoughts back within when they pop
up that warning sign by coming to your conscious mind. You must
choose to identify the lies and bad thoughts that you've accepted and
harbor, and pull them out by replacing them with the Truth.
Your Subconscious Mind
Think of your mind as a computer. You have files that have been in
there since the day you were born. They're called memories. Many of
them, you don't even know are in there. You're not conscious
of them. They're like a closed folder until your memory chooses to
open them up. Let me give you an example ...
You're driving down the street past the park, and you see a little
kid swinging on a swing. Suddenly you remember your cousin's birthday
party that you went to at a park, when you were five. Wow, you
haven't thought about that in years! And with all the things that you
have to remember in your busy life, all the years that have passed,
all you've learned, all you've done, and everywhere you've been, you
still have that memory stored in your subconscious mind. That memory
can trigger other memories. If you think a little more, you remember
the cherry chip cake with the confetti icing at the party, and the
Neapolitan ice cream, and the Playdoh factory that you gave your
cousin for a present and even that one trick candle that kept
relighting.
Well, I hate to burst a birthday balloon, but I must bring you back
to the present now, because there's a fact that I have to share with
you. Inside your mind are millions, if not billions of memories,
facts, sights, sounds, smells, tastes, thoughts, feelings, fears,
doubts, desires, Truths, and many other things including, I'm sorry
to say ... Lies ... That are waiting in folders in the recesses of
your mind, called your subconscious, that will open up if and when
they're triggered by one of your 6 senses.
The problem is ... The enemy of your soul pushes those buttons as to
affect you because he is the one who planted those thoughts from the
get go, despite the means by which he used to do so, and he knows
you have chosen not to deal with it so he just throws out
something that hits your senses and Wham ... Your subconscious
opens the file ... And your spirit reacts.
Obviously, there are things stored in your subconscious, that you
don't want in there. We've been calling them weeds. But you can't
reformat your mind, because there's a lot in there that you want to
keep. Those are the Truths. What you can do, is get rid of the stuff
that you don't want anymore one at a time and when they reveal
themselves. It's not only affecting the performance of your computer,
but it's also taking up valuable space that you're going to be using
for new Truths that you will learn.
Below is a diagram of the mind and how it operates. You can see that
thoughts are able to enter into your Conscience mind where the blue
arrows are. If you believe or accept whatever entered as Truth, it
goes to a storage area to be recalled later. If you don't believe it,
you eject it, represented by the red arrows.

You'll notice that words and actions are the way to
eject what you don't want to be planted.
Why ... Because you have to make it perfectly clear, and understood
to the adversary, who wants those lies planted in your mind, that
they are rejected. If you do nothing, that's an action in itself
. Doing nothing is a choice, and your mind many times accepts it
as truth when it may be a lie but since you chose to do nothing ...
It is within you. Anything unwanted may just loiter around in there
if you don't eliminate it. Rejection is one thing that the
enemy of your soul doesn't like, so use it as one of your gardening
tools to get rid of weeds.
James 4:7
Submit yourselves therefore to God. Resist the devil, and he will
flee from you.
Let me give you a couple of examples of how to eject a lie.
Let's say a respected friend tells you seriously that the sky just
turned green. That's hard to believe, you say, but you take action
by going over to the window and looking out at the sky. You've
taken action by proving to yourself that the sky is in fact
still blue. Now, had you not proven the Truth to yourself, you may
have walked around believing that the sky just may have turned green
until the next time you saw it. But by your actions, you've
confirmed the lie to your mind, it is ejected, the Truth goes
back to it's storage place, and the Truth, that your friend is just a
practical joker, (or has suddenly gone colorblind), and that the sky
is blue is planted within your subconscious.
That's a lighthearted example, now here's one that's slightly more
serious. Let's say you had a horrible thought that you know isn't
true. Write down (action) the thought. Then eject the
lie and reinforce the Truth as quickly as possible. Then imagine the
lie being destroyed within as you trash the paper you wrote the
thought on. I have personally lit that bad boy up and watched the lie
burn to show my Lord that I ain't the one. Please be careful if you
are gonna try this one at home boys and girls.

Notice the word eject. That doesn't mean to keep any feelings
of shame, fear, anger, doubt, or anything else inside, to "get in
touch" with later. Always focus on the Truth. Lies and evil hate to
be brought into the light. The light is Truth. It is the enemy that
wants you to harbor such thoughts so he can pull your puppet strings
at will.
If you're alone, don't be afraid to talk out loud. By speaking out,
you are exposing the lie to the light. Another example: If the devil
tells you that you shouldn't forgive another, you would say something
like this: Let's tell the Truth now.
My Lord says, forgive all or I won't be forgiven.
Matthew 6:14-15
14 For if ye forgive men their trespasses, your heavenly
Father will also forgive you:
15 But if ye forgive not men their trespasses, neither
will your Father forgive your trespasses.
In most cases, it was just the devil who planted the seed of
deception in the mind of the soul who hurt you and unlike you, they
were not taught how to remove the evil seed and it became habit. This
means this soul who hurt you was only being used by the enemy of your
soul as a puppet, to do his bidding and that is to plant horrible
seeds within us which cause us to be unforgiving as to hinder us from
accepting Grace.
Because, my friend ... The enemy of your soul
knows the rules of the Spiritual Warfare game very well and knows that
we must forgive to be forgiven so he creates circumstances that hurt
us so we will not forgive.
Chances are that there are many untruths lurking
around in your mind that contribute to your problem. Remember when you
identified your problem(s) in Stepping Stone #5? I helped you out with
the one about selfishness, and now I'm going to help you with another
one. It's called doubt.
There's something down deep in your subconscious, that may be telling
you that this program may not work for you. I mean after all, how can
anything that's free and without obligation of any kind, work on
something as serious as your problem which you have carried perhaps
for so very long? It's good to admit it. In Truth, it won't work
unless you do admit it, and obliterate that doubt. You can't kill a
weed unless you admit it's there. Now, doubt is more like a fungus
than a weed ... Kind of like mildew.
You've got little seedlings in your garden that are young and
fragile, and a little doubt, a little fungus, a little mildew, can
ruin them. Doubt likes to grow in the dark, it doesn't want anybody
to know it's there ... Especially you, because you might just
identify it and attack it with some kind of mold spray called the
light of Truth and then where would it be?
It would be history.
Well that is not the enemy's plan. His plan is to keep you under
subjection by use of fear and doubt. The last thing he needs is for
you to believe and establish hope.
So call forth that doubt and let's give it a large dose of the Truth
called Faith, so it'll wither up and die!
It always helps to have a visual picture of things to put them into
perspective. You've seen little animations of the little Angel
standing on your shoulder whispering into your mind. That's your
conscience, telling you Truth and righteousness.
On your other shoulder is the depiction of an Evil
Spirit, standing in the little red suit with a pitchfork,
whispering wickedness. Don't let birds leave droppings of doubt in
the garden of your mind.
Take action ... Press the fingernail of your index finger to
your thumb, and flick that little imp off your shoulder!
Do you remember when we first became friends, the very first Truth I
shared with you is that you must possess Faith. Now I'm going to
answer the question, How can something free possibly work? Because
Jesus promised that it would. He gave His life for free. He gave us
Salvation for free. Have Faith in Him and He will set you free of
your problem.

If you scroll back up to the mind chart, you'll see that the
categories inside the left hand column are the things that you want
to keep. In this Stepping Stone, your task is to weed out anything
that falls into the categories inside the right hand column.
To do this, go back to the problem(s) that you identified. Ask
yourself which sense it used to get into your mind in the first
place. Find it's source. You can do this procedure with all bad
thoughts within or lies from this day forth, that reveal their ugly
head.
Imagine in your mind, but actually do it, with your finger and drag
that lie to the center circle and tell the Truth about this matter.
Then eject it with words or actions. If you'd
like, you can use this as one of your activities in your Miracle Grow
project by doing this once a day. Soon you'll be replacing those
categories on the right with ones like patience, humility,
compassion, benevolence, hope, understanding, dependability, etc.
Choosing to actually do this for 30 days will train you to do this
without the paper thereafter and establish an awesome new habit of
defense.
Let me remind you once again, that you are the Temple of God, Made in His
image, and you have to be cautious of what you let inside.
Out with the bad, in with the good.
Remember ... Think Good Thoughts
Philippians 4:8
Finally, brethren, whatsoever things are true, whatsoever things are
honest, whatsoever things are just, whatsoever things are pure,
whatsoever things are lovely, whatsoever things are of good report;
if there be any virtue, and if there be any praise, think on these
things.
Ask God to help you with your weeding. Ask Him to show you the Truth
that you're seeking for. He's the most effective weed killer there is!
Seek the Truth. Where does Truth come from?
John 14:6
I am the way, the Truth, and the life.
Hosea 10:12
Sow to yourselves in righteousness, reap in mercy; break up your
fallow ground: for it is time to seek the Lord, till He come
and rain righteousness upon you.
