Who Am I Bible Verse AdventureWhy Did God Make Me Quest
There comes a time in most of our lives when we feel the need to try
and "find" ourselves. We ask ourselves that same ole questions which
seem to have been handed down generation after generation. What am I
meant to be? What is my purpose in life?
Who am I and why did God make me?
For many, this search begins in the early adult years. Having already
gone through infancy, childhood, teen trials and becoming an adult
... You feel a need to explore your heart, identify what you like and
don't like, solidify your beliefs, and once you do, you imagine
you'll be able to get on with ... Life. But, the question still
haunts you ...
Who am I and why did God make me?
During this Who Am I process, it seems nobody understands this and during your search for who you are those around you may act as if you are going through some ridiculous unimportant phase. Friends and even family may ridicule you during this soul searching.
Who Am I Bible study tidbit of Truth ... Sometimes this desire to search our souls doesn't happen until well
into adulthood, which people have dubbed as "going through a mid-life
crisis". The results of this are usually devastating, causing
things like infidelity, broken homes, career changes, relocation, the
loss and/or respect of your loved ones, etc.
Finding yourself doesn't have to be such a difficult time in your
life. The Truth is that who you are has already been determined. This
study can help you to find out who you are without a lot of
psychological analyzing and be a positive experience at the same time.
Before we start digging into our Who Am I Bible study to find out who you are, we must find out where you came from. You know, your origins. But, first let us look at where you did not come from. Mankind has come up with some outrageous theories about our beginnings.
With this in mind, I'd like to quote to you, what our children are learning about as far as how the universe began. This excerpt is taken from A Child's First Library of Learning - Science Starter - by Time-Life Books. Sound like a reliable resource? Brace yourself.
How and When Did the Universe Start?
Who Am I Bible study warning ... Most scientists believe that the universe began about 20 billion
years ago. At first it was very, very small, and it was made of
completely different materials than it is today. Soon after it began,
it started to spread out very rapidly. This growth is now called the
Big Bang, because it was so fast it was like an explosion. Before the
Big Bang, the universe was a much smaller ball. Then it exploded, and
there was an incredibly hot mass of light. Scientists believe that it
was billions and billions of degrees Fahrenheit. There is nothing in
the universe today that is nearly as hot as that. A million years
after the Big Bang, the universe continued to spread out and to
slowly cool.
At first the universe seemed like a hazy mass. As time passed, parts
of it became clearer. Several million years later the early universe
had no clear shape or structure. Scientists describe this as being in
a state of chaos. As the universe kept spreading out, a cloudlike
mass of gasses became what is called a supergalactic group. Although
the universe was taking shape, it was a long way from being like
anything we know. 20 billion years later the supergalactic group then
began to break up. It formed smaller groups called galaxies. Today
these hold the millions of stars that form our universe.
Here's the funny part:
It is not known
how the ball of fire came into existence or why the Big Bang
took place.
"The Big Bang Theory" is the theory that once upon a time a "ball of
fire" or something exploded, (as if the "scientists" that support
this theory were there to know this) creating all the planets and
galaxies of the universe.
Who Am I Bible Verse Joy
Why Did God Make Me Purpose
This Big Bang theory brings a curious question to mind: Who created the "fire ball" that exploded? Now, we also have a theory called Evolution, which suggests that human beings who are capable of thought and emotions, evolved from what I believe in the most popular theory, they claim that a self reproducing organism in the ocean. Which then became a process of evolution which changed from a germ to a bug to a bunch of other things to a monkey to ... Humans.
Wow ... I'll be a monkey's uncle.
No wait !!!
The monkey is supposedly our uncle.
So, I suppose this Evolution theory makes us ... Sea Monkeys!
We build skyscrapers, split atoms and, well, people are capable of
doing incredible things, not to mention the human being itself is an
extremely complicated, miraculous thing. And who does science give
the credit to?
A ball of fire?
Who Am I Bible study trivia question ... Doesn't it make you wonder how science can believe that a ball of
fire can create the universe, but God can't? Science claims that this
is true even without proof, and yet they criticize the Faith of
Christians for believing that God created the universe, and that we
believe what was written in the Bible about the creation of the
Heavens and the earth and mankind, instead of believing their monkey
business.
Here's a real curious Who Am I question about this theory: Why are monkeys
still here with us today? It would make more scientific "sense" if
they were all evolved by now. Were some of them immune to the
process of evolution?
Doesn't it seem logical that the evolution would have been complete?
After all, you don't see ape men walking around, but monkeys, who
were supposedly a stage before that, are still hanging around (no pun
intended).
Again, Science will give credit to anything for the existence of
anything ... Except for God. The only One who is truly capable of creating
all the miraculous things that they continually try and prove came
from something else.
Who Am I Bible study fact or fiction? Science seems to seek answers to the unexplained as if they will then be the creator if they can give a reason that we will swallow. Science opposes Faith because it seeks for proof. Where proof of something exists, Faith is lacking and deemed unnecessary, as our whole existence as Christians is based on Faith.
Science can try and explain away everything that surrounds us ...
However, there are so many wonders that cannot be explained unless
you have Faith in God. Mankind can imitate many things, they can even
clone people and animals nowadays, but nobody can create a soul and a
spirit, except God.
Look at what the Apostle Paul told Timothy about science:
1 Timothy 6:20-21
20 O Timothy, keep that which is committed to thy trust,
avoiding profane and vain babblings, and oppositions of science
falsely so called:
21 Which some professing have erred concerning the faith.
Grace be with thee. Amen.
Always keep this in mind:

Why Did God Make Me Like I Am
1 Corinthians 3:18-20
18 Let no man deceive himself. If any man among you
seemeth to be wise in this world, let him become a fool, that he may
be wise.
19 For the wisdom of this world is foolishness with God.
For it is written, He taketh [captures] the wise in their own
craftiness [Job
5:13].
20 And again, The Lord knoweth the thoughts of the wise,
that they are vain [Psalms
94:11].
You can search through every book that was ever written, read every
encyclopedia, learn every scientific theory that was ever imagined,
and you won't find a single one that can adequately explain your
creation, your existence, your purpose, Who you are ... Better than
the Bible. But without Faith in your Creator and all His works, the
reason for your existence will always escape you and leave you
searching for answers.
Mankind is always seeking for a better reason than God for their
existence. But the Truth is that the reason you're here, alive on
this earth, is to glorify your Creator. You were created by God. You
are the image of God.
Genesis 1:26
And God said, Let Us make man in Our image, after Our
likeness:
What's this Our image and Our likeness all about? Let's
take a look at who God is and that way it will be easier to identify
who you are:
God the Father
God the Son
God the Holy Spirit
Sounds kind of weird huh? Well let us not allow our
limited understanding to cause doubt as to deny Truth.

Why Did God Make Me In His Image
1 John 5:7
For there are three that bear record in Heaven, the Father, the Word,
and the Holy Ghost: and these three are one.
This is called the Holy Trinity.
He is one God, in three divine parts. When God said, Let us make man
in Our image, He was talking to Jesus and the Holy Spirit.
Now ... Let's look into how we are made in God's image. What does God
mean? How are we made in His image? Let's look at the rest of what
was shared in 1 John:
1 John 5:7-8
7 For there are three that bear record in Heaven, the
Father, the Word [Jesus], and the Holy Ghost: and these Three are
One.
8 And there are three that bear witness in earth, the
Spirit, and the water, and the blood: and these
Three agree in One.
Therefore we, as humans, are made of three parts or depths, spirit,
water and blood.
The water represents the body since the human body is
made up of mostly water. The blood represents the soul
... DNA in blood is used to identify a specific person.
Who Am I Bible Verse Gift
Why Did God Make Me To Be So Fragile
Leviticus 17:11
For the life of the flesh [body] is in the blood: and I have
given it to you upon the altar to make an atonement for your souls:
for it is the blood that maketh an atonement for the soul.
But, what of the Spirit?
In the book of Genesis, God says Let there be
and there was. But if we look closer at the Scripture itself;
Genesis 1:1-3
1 In the beginning God created the Heaven and the earth.
2 And the earth was without form, and void; and darkness
was upon the face of the deep. And the Spirit of God [The Holy
Spirit] moved upon the face of the waters.
3 And God said, Let there be light: and there was
light.
Who Am I Bible study point of interets ... We see that God thought and God's Word spoke and His
Spirit obeyed and caused the physical change. In like manner, our
assigned spirit obeys our soul. I bet your eyebrow is
lifted right about now. I will give you an example ...
You are watching television, happy as a lark and then you see
something that saddens ya. Your soul sees or hears the sad thing and
tells your spirit that you are sad and your spirit reacts and the
physical body changes. Physical tears fall from your eyes and out
come the Kleenex. Your soul chose to believe or think something was
sad and said "Let there be" sadness so your spirit obeyed and changed
emotions and your body reacted to the spirit.
Your spirit is the part of you that listens and obeys the things that
it accepts as what you tell it to feel. God said "Let there be ..."
and the Holy Spirit carried out the command. Your soul tells your
spirit to act and react to things, and your spirit carries out the
commands that your mind gives to it. Many people think that the
spirit and the soul are the same thing, but the Bible is clear that
they are two separate parts ... Your soul controls your spirit.
It is a process that occurs because of what God said ... We are made
in their image. Our spirit and body are subject unto our
souls. This is an important Truth to be aware of because it's
happening with or without your being conscious of it.
What our soul chooses to think and/or believe is what our spirit will
perform and the body will follow.
It doesn't matter if it is good, bad, happy or sad. The spirit
only hears the words ... "Let there be."

Who Am I Bible Verse Reveals Love
Why Did God Make Me Secret
Sooooooo, you are created in God's image and there are three parts of
you. When we die ... What happens to these three parts of us?
Our body returns to dust:
Genesis 3:19
In the sweat of thy face shalt thou eat bread, till thou return unto
the ground; for out of it wast thou taken: for dust thou art, and
unto dust shalt thou return.
Our spirit returns to God:
Ecclesiastes 12:7
Then shall the dust return to the earth as it was: and the spirit
shall return unto God who gave it.
When the righteous die, their soul goes to:
Abraham's Bosom
Luke 16:22
And it came to pass that the beggar died and was carried by the
Angels into Abraham's Bosom.
The body goes back to the dust and the spirit goes back to God who
gave it to us.

Why Did God Make Me His Child
Who Am I Bible Study Reminder ... So, it is obvious that it is the soul that is the part of you that is
judged for your choice to believe in Jesus or not. Your soul is your
being. It is your existence. It is what makes up your heart, your
beliefs, your feelings, your convictions, your virtues. It is the
entity within you that makes choices. When you think of who God is,
you don't think of Him in bodily form, you think of His love, His Grace,
His righteousness, His virtue, His strength. When you think of who
you are, you're all the things that make up your character. Your
qualities, disposition, moral fiber, personality, temperament,
eccentricity, integrity, etc.
These things are who you are ...
The sun exploded and created this intricate miracle that is you??? I
think not. Now that you know where you came from, it's easier to find
out what you're meant to be. Why did God create you? The answer is to
glorify Him.
Isaiah 43:7
Even every one that is called by my name: for I have created him for
my glory, I have formed him; yea, I have made him.
1 Corinthians 6:19
What? know ye not that your body is the temple of the Holy Ghost which
is in you, which ye have of God, and ye are not your own? For ye are
bought with a price: therefore glorify God in your body, and in your
spirit, which are God's.
Did ya notice that we (our soul) is directed by God to glorify God
with our body and our spirit which belong to God? Cool huh? Let's
return to the original questions now that we have discovered what we
are:
Who Am I and Why Did God Make Me?
The thing that makes us question who we're meant to be, is that we
don't feel like we've accomplished what we're meant to. We feel like
we can improve what we are. The person we're meant to be doesn't
change, it's our satisfaction within of whether or not we're
achieving our destiny that changes. But many times, we take the wrong
path, and we search for who we think we should be, instead of
what God intended us to be. What happens when you make a wrong choice
and take a wrong path? You get lost. Sometimes very lost.
You may want to ask yourself, Will any changes that you make in your
life change who you are? You can change your habits, you can change
your feelings about certain things, you can change your appearance,
you can change your career, you can change your whole lifestyle which
may change what you appear to be on the surface ... You can't change
who you are meant to be.

Why Did God Make Me Answer
There are other things that try and influence people to try and
change who they are or "find" a different self than the one they've
been created to be. These worldly deceptions are called self and
pride. People long to be famous, to be recognized, to be noticed. We
admire movie stars, singers, professional athletes, public officials
... Anybody who has made a name for themselves.
Ask yourself though, as a Christian, How many famous people have
chosen their profession to give glory to God through their work? I
don't mean how many give thanks to God every Sunday for their good
fortune, I mean how many of those people have you ever looked at and
said to yourself "Now, that's a man of God," or "That there, is a
godly woman?" How many times have you thought, "Wow, I wish I could
serve the Lord like that!" Are their accomplishments service to God?
What are their fruits?
Do you hear them at the Academy Awards thank God for their
achievements? No, most thank any and everybody but God for their part
in films that contain taking the Lord's name in vain, depicting
violence, glorifying wealth, sex, and many other forms of evil. It
would be insulting for anyone to thank God for achievements that are
unGodly.
Do you hear many athletes in their post-game interviews thank God for
their victory? Not too many. Most speak of self and then the next
week we hear that they've been arrested for DWI, spousal abuse,
murder, or fired for taking steroids, etc.
Do you hear most of the music stars praise the Lord at the end of
their performance and give God the credit for their talent? No ...
They take the bows for themselves. We read in Rolling Stone Magazine
how they're involved in child pornography, homosexuality, drug abuse,
etc. Now I speak not of Christian Music as they serve the cause and
obviously do give praise to our Father.
Wanna hear Truth? The absolute worst thing about trying to be a
famous worldly star is that it is short lived and soon they are
forgotten as the new kid on the block arises or age creeps upon them
and the career they selected has age limitations. They are deemed as
has beens. They traded up their entire existence for a few years in
the limelight. Seek not to be a worldly star but rather an eternal
star and let your light shine for Jesus.
The stars that people glorify here on earth ... Those rock stars,
star athletes, movie stars, etc. who do not glorify God are likened
unto fallen stars. Their glory comes from man. It is temporal. It
will end when their life on earth ends ... Or before. As a Christian,
you are eternal. Unlike the temporal stars, you will trade your
earthly body for a heavenly body and become an eternal star. But just
like the fallen stars, if you seek for something better than
glorifying God, you will fall. Wouldn't you rather seek eternal glory
with God?
Unfortunately, most people abuse their God given gifts, and the sad
thing is that these people influence our world ... our children. Do
you want God to remember you for worldly fame or for the glory that
you brought to Him through the gifts that He gave you? Do you want
people to raise up their hands and clap for you or raise their hands
up and praise your Father?
God does give gifts (1 Corinthians,
Chapter 12). Special talents that are meant to glorify Him. We
tend to make discovering our gifts a difficult search, but God wove
them into WHO you are, your passions, your talents, the things you
love to do. You can be skilled in something, but if you don't enjoy
doing it, chances are, it isn't your calling, because your Father
doesn't want you to be unhappy serving Him. He knows that if you
enjoy performing the talents that He gave you, you will glorify Him
better.
Now many of you might be saying, Yeah right, I follow good, but I am
nothing and I have no talents to speak of. It is important for you to
know that this makes you a prime candidate for God service.
1 Corinthians 1:26-31
26 For ye see your calling, brethren, how that not many
wise men after the flesh, not many mighty, not many noble, are called:
27 But God hath chosen the foolish things of the world to
confound the wise; and God hath chosen the weak things of the world
to confound the things which are mighty;
28 And base things of the world, and things which are
despised, hath God chosen, yea, and things which are not, to bring to
nought things that are:
29 That no flesh should glory in His presence.
30 But of Him are ye in Christ Jesus, who of God is made
unto us wisdom, and righteousness, and sanctification, and redemption:
31 That, according as it is written, He that glorieth, let
him glory in the Lord.
Who Am I Bible Verse Danger
Why Did God Make Me Unique
Why is it then, that so many people strive to be wise and mighty,
when it's just the opposite of that which God has chosen? Because the
world has deceived mankind by making people believe that they should
seek glory for themselves instead of seeking to glorify God.
When you're sizing up your life, seeking what you're meant to be, you
may come to the conclusion that it's time to be your own person
because up until now, you've always been somebody else's ...
Something. You were somebody's child, then somebody's student, then
somebody's employee, then somebody's spouse, then somebody's parent
... Always serving somebody else. Now look at this from a different
point of view. At the Last Supper, Jesus washed the feet of His
Apostles and said:
John 13:12-15
12 So after He had washed their feet, and had taken His
garments, and was set down again, He said unto them, Know ye what I have done to you?
13 Ye call me Master and Lord: and ye say well; for so I
am.
14 If I then, your Lord and Master, have washed your feet;
ye also ought to wash one another's feet.
15 For I have given you an example, that ye should do as I
have done to you.
Serving God's people is an honor ... For you and to your Father, so
if you change your outlook on things, being somebody else's something
is the whole idea because it brings glory to God.
But still, all of this doesn't seem quite satisfying, does it? You
still wonder ... Is this as good as it gets? Certainly I was born for
more than this! But after reading up to here, you may feel guilty for
wanting more and hesitant to ask for it. Is it selfish to desire more
success in your life? Maybe it's not fame you're looking for, but a
little more money wouldn't hurt. Just enough so you wouldn't have to
worry about putting food on the table, maybe a little college fund
for the kids, perhaps a little nest egg ... You know, in case Social
Security ever goes broke ... These kind of things.
It's not wrong to pray for more success. In fact, if the result of
your success glorifies God ... By all means ... Ask!!! Remember
always though, the best way to glorify God is to be Christ-like in
every way you can be. In prayer, in faith, in frame of mind, in
humility, in grace, etc. Pray about what you're praying about! Is
success what one needs to more perfectly glorify God? These things
are worthy of pondering on and praying about.
Keep this in mind also; becoming what you're meant to be doesn't
necessarily mean starting over. Remember, you can't change who you're
meant to be, but you can take what you already are and make an impact
for God. When you change your attitude about why you want certain
things in your life and your desire to attain them is for God, not
for yourself or the praise of others ... My friend, things will start
to get exciting! With this attitude, you move from living in your own
will to living the will of God.
1 John 5:14-15
14 And this is the confidence that we have in Him, that,
if we ask any thing according to His will, He heareth us:
15 And if we know that He hear us, whatsoever we ask, we
know that we have the petitions that we desired of Him.
Consider Solomon. After he became king of Israel, God appeared to
Solomon in a dream and said, Ask what you want, and I shall give it
to you. Now, Solomon could have asked for fame and fortune, which is
what most people would ask for, but instead, Solomon said:
1 Kings 3:9
Give your servant an understanding heart to judge your people, that I
may discern between good and bad: for who is able to judge this thy so
great a people?
God was so pleased at Solomon's unselfish request for something that
would honor the Lord, that He not only made Solomon the wisest man to
ever live, but gave him fame and fortune as well! When you begin to
ask, instead of, Who am I, and, What am I meant to be ... Who does
God want me to be, and, What am I meant to do for His glory, that's
when you stir things up and you will discover the person that you're
seeking for, the person that God meant you to be.
I Am a Child of God!
