Welcome to
My Brother's Keeper
Serving the Lord Bible Verses

Step #1

Congratulations on discovering the My Brother's Keeper secret path.

This serving the Lord Bible verses path is based upon truth and trust. You will get to make all of the choices during this serving the Lord Bible verses program. If you choose to follow the steps, you will discover the secrets that the Bible has revealed within to those who have been called to represent him.

The first thing that you need to choose is to save this page to your favorites because this will become your favorite place for the next two weeks. Let's get started!

It's so exciting that you are here today, because you've just discovered something that's about to change your life ... And the lives of others! Do not think that just anyone could find this secret place and even if someone cheated to enter, the secrets shared within will not become visible in mind and heart to those who were not called.

You Are Special

But never forget that it is God ... In you.

1 Corinthians 1:26-28

26 For ye see your calling, brethren, how that not many wise men after the flesh, not many mighty, not many noble, are called:
27 But God hath chosen the foolish things of the world to confound the wise; and God hath chosen the weak things of the world to confound the things which are mighty;
28 And base things of the world, and things which are despised, hath God chosen, yea, and things which are not, to bring to nought things that are:

The glory is to be His.

Let me ask you a few questions:

  • What if you could change your life and find what your purpose was?
  • What if you could find and use awesome spiritual gifts that are within you?
  • What if you could use these spiritual gifts to change other people's lives for the better?
  • How would you like to do that ... For God?

If the answer is ... Yes You have been called by God to represent.

Do you believe in coincidence? Do you think that things just happen by luck or chance? Or do you believe that everything happens for a reason? What if you were led to Christianity Oasis by the Holy Spirit so that you would find this path because you have been called to get involved in this program, right now, at this very time in your life, and God has a plan for you to do amazing things for the Lord!

You have a great opportunity before you.

Do you believe that you can make a difference in the world today?

God does !!!

The Bible is clear that God calls many to represent Him. But, the Bible also says that few of those called are actually chosen to serve Him.

Matthew 22:14

For many are called, but few are chosen.

Know why few people are chosen? Because few choose to represent Him! They get all caught up in the worldly things that are going on and choose that instead.

God made it clear in the Bible that He would be calling His young people and putting His Spirit in them and they would do great things for Him.

Acts 2:17-18

17 And it shall come to pass in the last days, saith God, I will pour out of my Spirit upon all flesh: and your sons and your daughters shall prophesy, and your young men shall see visions, and your old men shall dream dreams:
18 And on my servants and on my handmaidens I will pour out in those days of my Spirit; and they shall prophesy:

God promised that He was going to choose young people to represent Him. It is up to you as to what you will choose to do with your calling.

God will pour out His Spirit on these young people and they will get special powers. These powers are called spiritual gifts!

Are you one of these sons and daughters who God is calling to represent?

Most people in the Bible, whether they were young or old never thought that they would be called. But they were. And they did awesome works by showing God's glory in their words and works.

Remember !!! With God, nothing is impossible.

Maybe you are saying, "Wow, I am only a teen what could I possibly do?"

Did you know that the prophet Jeremiah was just a child when God chose him to be a prophet? Check this out:

Jeremiah 1:5-7

5 [God told Jeremiah] Before I formed thee in the belly I knew thee; and before thou camest forth out of the womb I sanctified thee, and I ordained thee a prophet unto the nations.
6 Then said I [Jeremiah], Ah, Lord God! behold, I cannot speak: for I am a child.
7 But the Lord said unto me, Say not, I am a child: for thou shalt go to all that I shall send thee, and whatsoever I command thee thou shalt speak.

Did you catch that?

Before we were even born, God knew who He was going to call. He knew who was to be the next generation of Christian soldiers called to fight the good fight of faith and to represent. This world is at war with an invisible enemy called the devil, who is out to capture as many souls as he possibly can. Just take a look around you and you can see the devil's work in action ... Gangs ... Drinking ... Drugs ... Cutting ... Sex ... And ... It's only getting worse.

This invisible enemy likes to use anger, jealousy, greed, hate, fear, lust, doubt, pride ... All kinds of ugly things that mankind has a real tough time fighting against ... He is winning a lot of souls over because few choose to fight ... Most just surrender and follow the worldly trends.

My friend, it's your duty as a Christian soldier not to surrender. It's also your job to protect and defend others that are caught up in his web of lies. God is counting on you.

Before we take on such an important task together, it's important that we become friends. As you know, friendship is based on Truth, which builds trust. So I will be sharing a lot of Truth with you. We'll be talking about some very serious topics while our friendship grows. One thing about Truth ... It's not always what people want to hear, but a true friend knows that even though the Truth may hurt sometimes, it's the only choice if you want a strong friendship.

Proverbs 27:6

Faithful are the wounds of a friend; but the kisses of an enemy are deceitful.

In other words, a true friend will always tell the Truth, even though it may hurt. Lies and pity (kisses) may make you feel better, but they will hurt worse than the Truth did in the end.

This is the first Truth that I share with you as your new friend ... You must increase your faith.

Faith can move mountains.

Matthew 17:20

And Jesus said unto them, Because of your unbelief: for verily I say unto you, If ye have faith as a grain of mustard seed, ye shall say unto this mountain, Remove hence to yonder place; and it shall remove; and nothing shall be impossible unto you.

Cool huh? Jesus is saying that if you have even a little real faith, that you could say to a mountain, move from here to over there, and it would. In other words, He is saying that with Faith ... Nothing is impossible. Which means ...

Anything is Possible

Think about what Jesus just promised for a second. If we have faith we can move mountains. But ... What is faith? Faith ... Means to believe something with all your mind and heart. Sooooooo, Jesus is saying that if we believe, we can make anything happen.

Belief is like a flowing river. Picture a flowing river in your mind. Imagine throwing a leaf into that flowing river, what is going to happen? You guessed it, the leaf will flow the same way the river is flowing. It doesn't matter what you throw into the river of faith ... It flows the same way. Whether your beliefs are good, bad, happy or sad ...
They will come to life with ... belief.

So what you believe, you receive.

Matthew 21:22

And all things, whatsoever ye shall ask in prayer, believing, ye shall receive.

Lots of people need our help out there, and the world is a big place. Neither one of us can do this alone, but my friend, as a team, we can do it together.

Matthew 18:19-20

19 Again I say unto you, That if two of you shall agree on earth as touching any thing that they shall ask, it shall be done for them of my Father which is in Heaven.
20 For where two or three are gathered together in my name, there am I in the midst of them.

So, let's see if we understand this correctly. Jesus promised, if you and other Christians agree, we can ask anything in His name, and it will be done. It sounds like a miracle, doesn't it? My new friend ... Are you ready for God to work some miracles through you?

By taking part in this program, you're making a choice. You're taking a leap of faith. Know what that is? That's when you attempt something that could only happen ... With faith. Are you a tiny bit scared? That feeling isn't fear. You're supposed to feel that. Why? Because you can't do it alone ... That means you must depend on Jesus to help you! If you ever feel like you've got it all under control and you can conquer anything alone ... That's when you've let go of God's hand. Learn the Truth about that feeling, it's not fear, it's called dependence, and God is waiting for you to reach for His hand and become dependent upon His Holy Spirit.

Choice

Choice is something that God gives to each of us. It's called free will. We are free to do whatever we will (whatever we wish). Your choice to be a Christian is the most important choice of your life.

You represent Christ. As your friend, I'll tell you the Truth, most people won't agree with the choice that you have made to represent Christ. Being a Christian, you bear His name. You are different, because the world is heading in a different direction than you are, and they will try over and over to tell you that everybody is doing this, or everybody is doing that, so their way must be right, and you must be wrong. My friend, you're not everybody else. And you're not wrong.

You're different ... You're special ... You are called.

You don't follow all the other sheep to the slaughter, so to speak. You're not afraid of the responsibility it takes to lead a righteous life. You have a stronger conscience than most people and you recognize what's right and wrong much easier than everybody else because you choose to. You want to live the Way that Jesus taught.

John 14:6

Jesus saith unto him, I am the Way, the Truth, and the Life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me.

So ... What's this Serving the Lord program all about? It's about building your Christian character. It's about gaining wisdom and knowledge that will enhance your Faith. It's about strengthening your armor against the enemy, the devil. It's about living the Way, the Truth, and the Life, that is taught to us by our Savior Jesus Christ, and sharing the light of what you learn with others, who will in turn share it with still others. This program is about building an army of Christian soldiers for God, to defend the Faith and represent the Lord in a world that is quickly becoming faithless. It is about reaching out to other people and making a difference in their lives, for the Glory of God!

Have you ever heard of the ripple effect? It's where you throw a stone into the water, which causes a ripple, which causes more ripples, which causes more and more and more, spreading out wider and wider and wider, until the whole pool is filled with ripples! You can be a stone, and make it happen for God! You'll change a few lives, and they'll each change a few, and so on and so on ... Here's a picture that will give you an idea of this ripple effect.

By choosing to represent Christ, you choose to share Jesus' life, through you, with others, because you're one with Him. People see Him in you ... In the things you do, the way you act, the way you talk, the way you live ... Your words and deeds are a reflection of Him.

Jesus told us that it's our duty, it's our job to be doing this as you'll find out in just a moment. There's a story which Jesus told, that I'd like to share with you. After the story, we'll talk about the message that's in it.

The Parable of the Talents

Matthew 25:14-30

14 For the Kingdom of Heaven is as a man travelling into a far country, who called his own servants, and delivered unto them his goods.
15 And unto one he gave five talents, to another two, and to another one; to every man according to his several ability; and straightway took his journey.
16 Then he that had received the five talents went and traded with the same, and made them other five talents.
17 And likewise he that had received two, he also gained other two.
18 But he that had received one went and digged in the earth, and hid his lord's money.
19 After a long time the lord of those servants cometh, and reckoneth with them.
20 And so he that had received five talents came and brought other five talents, saying, Lord, thou deliveredst unto me five talents: behold, I have gained beside them five talents more.
21 His lord said unto him, Well done, thou good and faithful servant: thou hast been faithful over a few things, I will make thee ruler over many things: enter thou into the joy of thy lord.
22 He also that had received two talents came and said, Lord, thou deliveredst unto me two talents: behold, I have gained two other talents beside them.
23 His lord said unto him, Well done, good and faithful servant; thou hast been faithful over a few things, I will make thee ruler over many things: enter thou into the joy of thy lord.
24 Then he which had received the one talent came and said, Lord, I knew thee that thou art an hard man, reaping where thou hast not sown, and gathering where thou hast not strawed:
25 And I was afraid, and went and hid thy talent in the earth: lo, there thou hast that is thine.
26 His lord answered and said unto him, Thou wicked and slothful servant, thou knewest that I reap where I sowed not, and gather where I have not strawed:
27 Thou oughtest therefore to have put my money to the exchangers, and then at my coming I should have received mine own with usury.
28 Take therefore the talent from him, and give it unto him which hath ten talents.
29 For unto every one that hath shall be given, and he shall have abundance: but from him that hath not shall be taken away even that which he hath.
30 And cast ye the unprofitable servant into outer darkness: there shall be weeping and gnashing of teeth.

Wow ... Okay now I know that it may be a little hard to understand what Jesus was saying but that was His intent. He spoke in parables. Parables are short stories that Jesus used to show us how we should live our lives. We can substitute some things in this parable so we can see the example of how we should live our lives as Christians.

In this parable, we are the servants of the Lord. The talents in this story represent money but Jesus was using it to symbolize the spiritual gifts given to us by God to represent Him. If we choose to use those gifts to help His lost children find Truth we are blessed with more spiritual rewards. But if we choose not to use these gifts as to glorify Him and bring in His sheep, we lose all that He gave us.

We have an exciting adventure ahead of us. As you build your faith, your character and your integrity as a Christian, you're really taking your talents, and glorifying the Lord. Others will see the results in your life and as you share your faith with them, you are leading people to the Lord. You'll find that He will begin putting you in situations where others need you to help them grow in their faith, and then my friend, the One you represent, will bless you abundantly!

You're also beginning a lifestyle that will lead you through a happy life on earth, and life everlasting. These aren't just pretty words ... They're Truth!

Doing nothing is also a choice. Think about that.

You have an advantage, being a young person. That's because as people get older, they get set in their ways and it's difficult for them to change their beliefs and habits even if they're wrong. As the saying goes, 'It's hard for a leopard to change it's spots.' But you ... Being a young person, you have the opportunity to paint your spots wherever you like, or you can choose stripes or anything you choose. If you choose Truth from the beginning, just think of all the heartache you save yourself from.

As I said before, my friend, many people will want to discourage you, because they believe that it's not cool to be a Christian. I have to ask, what do they believe is cool? My bet is that what they believe to be cool, aren't the things Jesus would do. Many people may be jealous, because they don't have the will power to represent. To represent means being strong. Just ask yourself when people disagree with your choice ... Do I want to please people, or do I want to please God? It's not the popular thing to do. It's different. You're different. They may reject you. Don't give in. Jesus said:

Matthew 5:10-12

10 Blessed are they which are persecuted for righteousness' sake: for theirs is the Kingdom of Heaven.
11 Blessed are ye, when men shall revile you, and persecute you, and shall say all manner of evil against you falsely, for my sake.
12 Rejoice, and be exceeding glad: for great is your reward in Heaven: for so persecuted they the prophets which were before you.

It is a shame game. Don't be ashamed to stand up for your beliefs.

Matthew 10:32-33

32 Whosoever therefore shall confess me before men, him will I confess also before my Father which is in Heaven.
33 But whosoever shall deny me before men, him will I also deny before my Father which is in Heaven.

In other words, the way you represent Christ, is the way He will represent you, before God! Stand up for Him and He will stand up for you.

You'll be learning a lot of new words as we study together. I'll be talking to you like an adult, because I think it's important that we have mutual respect for one another. many of the words you read may not be in your vocabulary yet but they are about to be. If there's a word that you don't understand, I trust you'll look it up in the dictionary. Misunderstanding one word, can sometimes make a huge difference in understanding everything after it.

Words that sound strange, or 'religious' to you when we begin, will become a part of your vocabulary by the time we're finished. You'll be reading a lot of Bible verses and some may be difficult to understand, but I'll be explaining what they mean if they're complicated. Soon you'll begin to see the awesome wisdom of the Bible, which is God's letter of love to us, His children.

The times we live in are changing rapidly. Unfortunately, as technology is increasing, so is the wickedness and evil in the world. Who will be the leaders of the future? Who will represent? The answer is ... You! ...

Jesus is counting on You to carry on His light in the world. The future is in Your hands.

Philippians 4:13

I can do all things through Christ which strengtheneth me.

Each day we will be taking one step at a time to reaching this new goal.

I know it'll be hard to resist going on to the next step once you begin, but if your "cup runneth over" where does all that Truth go that doesn't fit into the cup?

You should only digest so much at a time, and that way, nothing is wasted and you get the benefits of every ounce of Truth. If you take it slow, all that you will be learning will have a chance to absorb into your mind and your spirit will react when you take each step one day at a time to complete this program.

Taking in too much at one time, you run the risk of forgetting some of it and not allowing the natural instincts and habits to establish these new beliefs.

Another benefit of taking one step at a time is that it naturally makes you want to return each day, because it's truly a very exciting program!
