Spiritual Warfare
In the world in which we live, some things that occur are hard to
understand and even harder to believe. There is a force out
there that is attempting to overtake us all ... It is satan.
There is another force out there that is protecting us from
him ... It is the Holy Spirit. It is a battle for souls.
This battle is called Spiritual Warfare and like it
or not ... You are right in the middle of it.
We will work together in becoming more familiar with the spiritual
world that is going on all around us. Most are blinded to
this realm because they ponder on worldly matters.
In truth, there is a spiritual warfare battle going on between God
and satan.
What are they warring over?
Your soul ...
BTK STRANGLER
Prior to his capture, there are those that suggested that the
absence of BTK for many years may have been due to his
death, incarceration or having married. Now that these
theories have been ruled out, that leaves few avenues for
those who elect to try and discern his whereabouts during
the time lapse, to conclude.
After evaluating all of the available information on the BTK
strangler and having read many of the theories from
"investigators" of all sorts, both novice and professional,
as well as much of the feedback from chat rooms and off of
the discussion boards that have emerged since BTK
resurrected ... It is painfully obvious that everyone is
overlooking one glaring fact.
He may be telling the truth.
The glaring fact that everyone is failing to recognize is that BTK has
always possessed a pattern of popping up and then
disappearing for long periods of time. There's another
possibility as to where he has been all of this time. Listen
to the words that BTK shared in one of his letters.
HE SAID THAT ...

"After a thing like Fox,
I come home and go about life like anyone else."
|
which suggests that he has the capability
to commit these horrific acts and then to return to a
regular life and just blend in with his surroundings like
some sort of chameleon lizard. It is now known that he was
just hanging out there in Kansas living life as everyone
else does. Maybe he just soothes the "monster's" cravings
during these absences, with the photos that he has and some
imagination, by reinventing the stage. Thereby satisfying
the beast.
As he said ...

"Society can be
thankful that there are ways for people like me to relieve
myself at time by day dreams of some
victims being torture and being mine."
|
Let's take a look at what BTK has been saying all along ...
|
"I write this letter to you for the sake of the tax payer as well as your
time. Those three dude you have in custody are just talking to get publicity
for the Otero murders. They know nothing at all. I did it by myself and with
no one's help. There has been no talk either. Let's put this straight."

He wanted everyone to know the truth. He wanted them to know that he
did it and told nobody about it.

"I'm sorry this happen to society. They are the ones who suffer the most. It
hard to control myself. You probably call me 'psychotic with sexual perversion
hang-up.' When this monster enter my brain I will never know. But, it here to
stay. How does one cure himself? If you ask for help, that you have killed four
people they will laugh or hit the panic button and call the cops.
"I can't stop it so the monster goes on, and hurt me as well as society. Society
can be thankful that there are ways for people like me to relieve myself at time
by day dreams of some victims being torture and being mine. It a big compicated
game my friend of the monster play putting victims number down, follow them,
checking up on them waiting in the dark, waiting, waiting... the pressure is
great and sometimes he run the game to his liking. Maybe you can stop him. I
can't. He has aready chosen his next victim or victims. I don't who they are
yet. The next day after I read the paper, I will know, but it to late. Good luck
hunting.
"YOURS, TRULY GUILTILY"

He deems himself "guilty" ... Which is something to ponder on. It
appears that he wanted it to stop, but could not control it.
He was unable to share with anyone what was happening to
him. So he finally accepted it and evolved with it.

"P.S. Since sex criminals do not change their M.O. or by nature cannot do so, I
will not change mine. The code words for me will be ...
Bind them, toture them, kill them, BTK, you see he at it again. They will be on the next victim."

Again, here he seems to accept what he has become and wants to show
everyone how to identify his handiwork. In addition ... In
this statement, he is saying that he will put "BTK" on his
next victim ... Did he? Did he somehow "put" the initials
BTK on his next victim? Is this one of the pieces of
evidence that the police are keeping quiet about?
Also ... He does not use past or present tense in his wording. He
uses poor English throughout (whether on purpose or not)
but in his post script, he does use proper English, yet
changes back when he states:

Bind them, toture them, kill them, BTK, you see he at it again.
|
As though he wants people to believe that (or the "monster" really
is) uneducated and/or writes differently than he himself,
yet throughout his words, when it would be he himself
speaking, it is still improper English.
Interesting fact is that throughout his words he claims to be
possessed.

Maybe he is
telling the truth! BTK uses examples of other serial killers and says they
were possessed by same type of entity.

"I am compelled to kill by "factor-X," the same factor that motivated Son of
Sam in New York, Jack the Ripper in London and the Hillside Strangler in Los
Angeles."
"It seems senseless but we cannot help it."
"There is no help, no
cure except death or being caught and put away."

BTK is correct in that there are many serial killers that
said that an entity made them do what they did. However, his
comparison of the hillside strangler to himself seems odd
because it turned out to be two men named
Kenneth Alessio Bianchi and Angelo Buono Jr.
These two were men that hated yet lusted for women and that
is why they did what they did. They never claimed a
"monster" made them do it.
However, at the time of BTK's statement in his letter which
read:

"I am compelled to kill by "factor-X," the same
factor that motivated Son of Sam in New York, Jack the
Ripper in London and the Hillside Strangler in Los Angeles,"

... it was assumed that the Hillside Strangler was one man and
so must have BTK to have made his statement. BTK is a
different breed than the one (two) that he compared himself
to and probably realizes that fact now that the truth of the
Hillside Strangler matter has been resolved. "Factor X" had
nothing to do with their killing spree. Now, the night
stalker said that satan made him do it. The Son of Sam said
a demon speaking through a dog made him do what he did, and
many others suggested they were led to do what they did by
... voices.
He has mentioned
other serial killers in his letters and nicknamed Ted Bundy
"Ted of the West Coast" in one of his letters ... There was
another serial killer that BTK did not mention, yet was on a
killing spree in San Francisco just before BTK
was performing his deeds and that serial killer is known as
the "Zodiac Killer" ... There are many similarities between
the two. For example, both taunted police, both wanted
publicity and recognition, both wrote poems, both sent
letters with almost purposely misspelled words. Both created
their own alias both were about the same age and thought to
be white males. Both cases have not been solved, though most
believe that Arthur Leigh Allen was the Zodiac Killer due to
the multitude of evidence the authorities have. Arthur Leigh
Allen died in 1992 and was never convicted of the crime,
despite the overwhelming evidence which included physical
evidence found in his home and possession, eyewitnesses, a
police line up identification and much more.
It is certainly
not being suggested that BTK and Zodiac are one in the same,
yet it is quite a coincidence that they chose the same
methodology in many aspects. Since the Zodiac Killer began
his killing spree before BTK did, and his last confirmed
communication with the police was in 1974 and BTK started
his spree in 1974, it would be logical to assume that BTK
was aware of and probably kept up with the deeds of the
Zodiac Killer and may have even copied some of his methods,
yet strangely enough, did not list him as one of the serial
killers in his letter.
However, there is
one glaring difference between BTK and the Zodiac Killer ...
BTK's actions were sexual by
nature, according to his own words ... and the Zodiac's ...
were not.
So, we see that
there are different "M.O.s" in "serial killers" ... What
makes these individuals do the things that they do? As it
was stated earlier, many of these "serial killers" claim to
be driven or possessed by an evil entity. But, do these evil
entities that they described really exist, or is it just a
"the devil made me do it" thing?
Let's take a look at the claims
of BTK, that a "monster" was committing the acts through
him. Let's look at what BTK said in his letter again ...

"When this monster enter my brain I will never know. But, it here to stay."
|
He calls it a "monster" and says he does not know when it entered
him.
|
"How does one cure himself? If you ask for help,
that you have killed four people they will laugh or hit the panic button and
call the cops."
|
These words by BTK certainly show that he considered asking
for help, but logic revealed that it would land him in
prison. He also had this thought after the Otero murders,
but before his next victim, due to his count being four.

"I can't stop it so the monster goes on, and hurt me as well as society. Society
can be thankful that there are ways for people like me to relieve myself at time
by day dreams of some victims being torture and being mine."

This passage shows
that he attempts not to perform the "monsters" will by just
pondering on people being tortured and the desire passes. He
also said that the "monster" hurts him. When he said "like
me" he has revealed that he has done some research on others
that are committing similar acts, such as serial killers.

down, follow them, checking up on them waiting in the dark, waiting, waiting..."

He sees what the "monster" does as playing a game.
Patience is certainly a quality
he possesses.

"... the pressure is great and sometimes he run the game to his liking."
|
When he says that "sometimes" the monster runs the game to his
liking, suggests that he is in a constant struggle to hold a
conscience of reality but is overwhelmed by the appetite of
the "monster."

"Maybe you can stop him. I can't. He has already chosen his next victim or
victims. I don't who they are yet. The next day after I read the paper, I will
know, but it to late."

According to BTK ... The "monster" is in control at will, despite
the struggle from the human it has entered. So what we have
according to BTK and many other "serial killers" is that
some evil entity has the ability to overtake their thoughts
and actions and commit the will of the entity. It can be
controlled at times, but then it returns. This procedure is
similar to one that is hungry and is fed, returning when it
hungers again.
What if he is
telling the truth?
Now, we have all
seen movies that portray this scenario where a person is
controlled by some demonic entity and we see it as some sort
of morbid fictional concept.
However according to much
scientific data and even the Bible ... This sort of thing
has been going on for thousands of years.
