The Two Edged Sword
The Powerful, Authoritative Word of God
Chapter 3 - Disciples of the Word of God
by Diane Jurino
Proverbs 23:12
"Apply thine heart unto instruction, and thine ears to the words of
knowledge."
The Lord desires
that His people be fully informed and carefully instructed in His Word,
so that they are successful in all that they do. He has not left us
alone in this world; we have His very own wisdom and revelation
available to us at any time that we need it. We can simply pick up our
Bibles and search the Scriptures for any guidance or direction that we
may require.
We have divine
destinies as the sons and daughters of almighty God. He wants us to
walk in the very same anointing power and authority that Jesus Christ
did during His earthly ministry. However, we must be sanctified in the
truth and fully equipped to serve the Lord and His people. We cannot
take shortcuts when it comes to the knowledge of God's Word and His will
for us.
Believers have to
be serious students of the Word before will be able to function like
Christ did. We must be knowledgeable in our faith, so that we can
effectively share it with others. We will preach the Gospel of the
Kingdom of God throughout the entire world. All of mankind will be
impacted by our efforts and we should be very certain that we rightly
divide the word of truth.
2Timothy 2:15
"Study to shew thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to
be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth."
It is often
difficult to study the Word and fully comprehend it. It requires
special insight and heightened understanding that can only be received
through the power of the Holy Spirit of God. If we pray and ask the
Lord to reveal His truths to us in a relevant way, that we can apply to
our lives and share with others, He will always be faithful to enlighten
us in His Word.
We must be very
careful in our interpretation of the Holy Scriptures. They often
support and confirm one another, if we are diligent to study any given
topic thoroughly. We dare not add or subtract from the Word of God. It
is powerful for changing lives like nothing else can. What God says is
absolute and immutable; we can never distort it to fit our own personal
agendas.
The Lord has the
answers to all of our problems and perplexities already worked out. We
will discover that the Bible is teeming with practical advice and
innumerable promises on every conceivable topic. God watches over His
Word to perform it, and He will back up what He says in every instance.
All that we need do is believe the truth and watch for it to manifest.
The Word of God
will instruct us in righteousness and inspire us to embrace our divine
destinies. If we decree and declare what almighty God says, we will see
dramatic changes in all of our situations and circumstances. Nothing
will remain the same. We will impact all of mankind with the words that
we speak. Our words will literally change the entire world.
Jeremiah 15:16
"Thy words were found, and I did eat them; and thy word was unto me the
joy and rejoicing of mine heart: for I am called by thy name, O LORD God
of hosts."
We can never get
too much of God's Word to us. It is always fresh, current and
relevant. It has the inherent power to change our lives as nothing else
can. We should rejoice that the Lord continually speaks to His people
and be avid students of His instruction. It is His heart's desire that
we prosper and succeed in everything we do now and in the Kingdom to
come.
We are the people
who are called by God's name, and we must be thoroughly schooled in His
way of thinking and doing things, if we will spend all of eternity in
His presence. We have no human intelligence or earthly wisdom that even
closely compares with His inherent brilliance. He is an expert on all
matters, and He is willing to share what He knows with us.
We can be wise
and knowledgeable beyond our imaginings if we tap into God's limitless
resources. He wants us walking in our divine destinies as His very own
sons and daughters. If we are adequately prepared in the Word of God,
nothing will be impossible to us in the critical days ahead. We will be
able to change the fate of all mankind if we know God's Word.
The Word Works on Our Behalf
Isaiah 55:9-11
"For [as] the heavens are higher than the earth, so are my ways higher
than your ways, and my thoughts than your thoughts. For as the rain
cometh down, and the snow from heaven, and returneth not thither, but
watereth the earth, and maketh it bring forth and bud, that it may give
seed to the sower, and bread to the eater: So shall my word be that
goeth forth out of my mouth: it shall not return unto me void, but it
shall accomplish that which I please, and it shall prosper [in the
thing] whereto I sent it."
The words of the Lord enlighten and
challenge us to be all that God has created us to be. They are food for
our spirits and provide us with the nurturance that we need to sustain
us in difficult times. We are not ever pitiful and helpless. We have
God's input readily accessible to overcome all obstacles that would
hinder us from achieving total success in all that we do. We have His
instruction to achieve the virtually impossible.
As if that weren't enough, we have Jesus
Christ as the living Word of God to keep us on track, and lead and guide
us in all we do. Through our faith, we can be victorious in this life,
so we rule and reign now and in the Kingdom to come. We can grow in
spiritual maturity and walk in our divine destinies, as we were designed
to do from the very creation. There is nothing that will be impossible
to us if we know the Word.
God's Word teaches, warns, exhorts,
convicts, encourages and edifies us. It is powerful and authoritative,
infallible and immutable. It settles all disputes and serves as the
basis for sound doctrine. It can create life, destroy evil, heal the
sick, remit sin and even raise the dead. It is sharper than any
two-edged sword and cuts right to the heart of every matter. It never
returns to God void of power in all that it was meant to do.
Acts 4:20 "For
we cannot but speak the things which we have seen and heard."
The Word of God is experiential. The
more we learn and study it, the more real it becomes to us, and the
greater its power. It will affect our lives for good and change our
future. It will positively influence us, so that we begin to think like
God thinks and say what He says. Our faith-based words that line up
with His very own will alter the course of human events and impact all
of creation, as well.
We will challenge all world governments
to make certain that they line up with God's Word and His will. There
will be no more war, violence or bloodshed to settle disputes between
men. Poverty and lack will be things of the past, as we share all the
vast resources of the universe with one another. We will eliminate all
social injustice and ensure that all of mankind is treated with dignity
and respect.
All of creation will respond to our words
of faith. We will command harmony between the plants and animals and
take control of the climate, so that it is always temperate and
predictable. There will be no more natural catastrophes that threaten
loss of life and destruction to the environment. We will have total
dominion over all matters on the earth and bring order and stability to
all of nature.
Luke 11:28 "But
he said, Yea rather, blessed [are] they that hear the word of God, and
keep it."
The Word of God is a living thing; it is
meant to be activated in all of its power so that it can positively
impact our lives and the world around us. We should always adhere to
the truth and adopt God's ways as our very own. It is vital that we
walk in love and keep all of His commandments, so that our behavior is
above and beyond reproach at all times.
We dare not compromise any of the Lord's
moral absolutes and expect to remain righteous in His eyes. He will
tolerate no rebellion in any of us. Those who deliberately transgress
His law will soon be judged, condemned and punished. They will be
excluded from the Kingdom of God, forfeit all of its blessings and be
forever banished to the eternal lake of fire.
There will be no defilement that ever
dwells in God's holy presence. The Lord, Jesus Christ, will soon return
to destroy all evil off the face of the earth and cast Satan and his
minions into the bottomless pit. He will judge all men and even angels
to make certain that the righteous are rewarded and the wrongdoers are
permanently expelled from His Kingdom.
Those who have faithfully kept God's Word
will receive manifold blessings of peace and prosperity, safety and
security, joy and freedom. Christ will take vengeance on all of our
enemies and totally vindicate us. He will change our mortal bodies to
be like His very own; we will no longer deal with disease and death. We
will live forever in His awesome presence.
Doers of the Word
James 1:22 "But be ye doers of the word, and not hearers only, deceiving
your own selves."
It
is not sufficient to just know the Word of God; we must also act on it
if we wish to see tangible results. It is a powerful, living thing and
we should apply it to our lives at all times. We must practice our
faith and conduct ourselves according to its precepts. We ought to
present our bodies as living sacrifices to almighty God and embrace our
divine destinies as His sons and daughters.
It
is vital that we obey the truth in the written Word and keep all of the
commandments. We should also walk in love and treat others as we wish
to be treated. We should share our faith as the Lord arranges our
contacts, and help to set others free from demonic oppression and
bondage to sin and evil. If we put our faith into action, we will see
miracles, signs and wonders abound.
We
will speak the Word of God in all of its power and authority, and heal
the sick of all their afflictions. The blind will see; the deaf will
hear; and the lame will walk again through our efforts. We will cast
out devils that keep men in darkness and deception, and preach the Word
of God to them, so that many others receive eternal life. We will even
raise the dead back to life again.
1John 3:18 "My little children, let us not love in word, neither in
tongue; but in deed and in truth."
We
will demonstrate the very love, mercy and compassion of God Himself to
the entire human race. We will minister to the poor among us, so that
there is no more poverty and lack. We will correct all social
injustice, so that all men are treated with fairness, dignity and
respect. We will speak to world governments and
challenge their leaders to eradicate all war, conflict, violence and
bloodshed.
All
of creation is waiting for us to speak faith-filled words like God's
very own that will change the course of nature itself and set it free to
glorious liberty. We will command all plants and animals to be in
harmony with one another. All predatory activities will eventually
cease. We will regulate the climate, so that there are no more natural
disasters that threaten mankind and destroy our environment.
The
sons and daughters of almighty God will revolutionize the earth and
prepare it for the Kingdom of God to be ushered in. We will put our
faith into action in all we think, say and do. The Lord will be pleased
with us, and grant us eternal rewards for our devoted service to Him and
His people. We will be appointed kings and priests to rule and reign
with Jesus Christ over all nations of this world.
James 2:17-18 "Even so faith, if it hath not works, is dead, being
alone. Yea, a man may say, Thou hast faith, and I have works: shew me
thy faith without thy works, and I will shew thee my faith by my works."
Faith alone is dead and futile; we must always apply it to our personal
lives to see positive, lasting results manifested in our own situations
and circumstances. We can be victorious over the world, our flesh and
the devil if we know the Word of God and act on it. We cannot simply
sit back and wait for God to do things for us. He has given us dominion
over the earth and everything in it and He expects us to exercise it.
Believers have a definite advantage over those who are in the world. We
have been given supernatural gifts of faith, wisdom and understanding to
solve all of our problems and perplexities. There is nothing that is
impossible to us, if we know what God says and practically apply it to
our circumstances. The Lord has given us all that we need to be
victorious in all that we undertake for ourselves and on behalf of
others.
We
must proactively live our faith if we wish to see all the necessary
changes occur in our present world. Our words have power and authority
to tear down all strongholds of evil and generate a dramatic difference
that will impact all of mankind. We can enforce the government of
almighty God and His justice system. We can eliminate all that is
detrimental to us and establish peace, order and stability in all of our
affairs.
Christ's Instruction to His Disciples
John 15:14-16 "Ye are my friends, if ye do whatsoever I command you.
Henceforth I call you not servants; for the servant knoweth not what his
lord doeth: but I have called you friends; for all things that I have
heard of my Father I have made known unto you. Ye have not chosen me,
but I have chosen you, and ordained you, that ye should go and bring
forth fruit, and [that] your fruit should remain: that whatsoever ye
shall ask of the Father in my name, he may give it you."
Jesus Christ does not simply think of believers as His followers and
disciples, He considers us friends if we do what He asks of us. We must
always walk according to the Word of almighty God and be diligent to do
all that He tells us. His words are powerful for changing lives as
never before, but we must act on them and speak them out of our own
mouths to bring forth positive results.
The
Lord has given us practical advice on every conceivable matter. If we
do what He tells us to do, we will be more than conquerors in all of our
affairs. We will impact the fate of the entire world and change the
course of human events to line up with God's express will for mankind.
We will bring peace, order and stability to this earth and prepare it
for Jesus Christ to rule and reign.
The
whole planet has to be cleansed and purified of all defilement. We must
overcome all evil with good and establish God's way of doing things as
the norm. We cannot be remiss in any of our duties or important work
will remain undone, and the Lord will be forced to recruit others who
are more cooperative with His plans. We have divine destinies to
fulfill as the Body of Christ.
Luke 10:2 "Therefore said he unto them, The harvest truly [is] great,
but the labourers [are] few: pray ye therefore the Lord of the harvest,
that he would send forth labourers into his harvest."
We
are Jesus Christ's very own hands, feet and voice on this earth. We
have a divine anointing. We should pray that the Lord empowers more of
us to serve Him in these last days before He returns to us. The harvest
is full and the workers are few. Not everyone will accept the Lord's
eternal calling on their lives. Some may be too caught up in their own
personal affairs to respond to His wishes.
Others are lost in darkness and deception and are oblivious to what lies
ahead of us. Many are not well schooled in God's Word and are
inadequately prepared to serve Him and His people. There are some who
are rebellious and will never fulfill God's plans for them. Still
others play church, but their hearts are far from the Lord; they will
never realize the impact that each life has on that of another.
Only those who sincerely know the Word of almighty God Himself and are
sanctified in the truth, will be able to walk as Christ Himself did in
the critical days that lie ahead. There will be a remnant of believers
who appropriate all the divine power and authority that is available to
us. We will change the entire earth and everyone in it to prepare for
the everlasting Kingdom of God and all its benefits.
We
will walk in miracles, signs and wonders and alter the fate of all
mankind. This world will not be totally destroyed, but it will be
cleansed and purified of all its defilement. We will eliminate all wars
and violence; eradicate poverty and lack; correct social injustice and
make certain that all men are treated with fairness, dignity and
respect. We will teach others to dwell in love, peace and unity.
John 15:7 "If ye abide in me, and my words abide in you, ye shall ask
what ye will, and it shall be done unto you."
Nothing will be impossible to the Body of Christ as we serve the Lord
and His people. We will operate in the anointing that Jesus did when He
walked the earth. We will resume His ministry where He left off two
thousand years ago. We will do the works that Christ did, and even
greater works, since He has now gone to be with the Father and sent the
Holy Spirit to us.
We
will preach the Gospel of the Kingdom of God with power and conviction,
and see many souls saved and baptized to eternal life. We will heal the
sick, so that none of us are afflicted in any way. We will cast out
demons that hold men in darkness and evil, and set them free to be
converted to our faith. We will even raise the dead back to life once
again as Jesus did.
Whatever we need to complete our goals will indeed be given to us. All
that we must do is ask the Lord for what we require to be successful.
He will move both heaven and earth on our behalf. We will have legions
of ministering angels assigned to support us in all our efforts. We
will change the fate of many lives and help gather men into the
everlasting Kingdom of God.
Luke 9:26 "For whosoever shall be ashamed of me and of my words, of him
shall the Son of man be ashamed, when he shall come in his own glory,
and [in his] Father's, and of the holy angels."
We
dare not let fear, doubt or unbelief deter or detain us from fulfilling
our divine destinies. We cannot permit the opinions of men to influence
us in any way. Nor can we allow any feelings of shame stop us from
preaching the Word of God. We must know who we are in Christ and
remember whom we serve at all times. Our goal is to prepare all mankind
to enter into the Kingdom of God.
Men
will resist our evangelistic efforts; the devil will try to interfere
with our work. We will have an uphill battle to fight for our faith.
But it will all be worth it, when we gather in the full end-time harvest
of souls that is necessary before heaven is brought to this earth. We
will change the fate of the entire human race if we are willing and
obedient to serve the Lord in implementing His plans for us.
Our
God will soon be in an intimate relationship with us. He will meet all
of our needs even before we ask Him. We will have peace and prosperity,
joy and freedom, health and longevity for all time. Christ will protect
us from all harm and give us safety and security in His very presence.
There will be no good thing that we ever lack. The Kingdom of God will
be a veritable paradise on the earth.
If
we are faithful to serve the Lord as He directs us, we will receive many
generous rewards for our devotion to Him and to His people. He will
share His very own honor and glory with us. Our names will be a praise
on the earth, and all men will look up to us. We will judge all men and
even angels, and even be appointed kings and priests of God to rule and
reign with Christ for all eternity.
John 14:23 "Jesus answered and said unto him, If a man love me, he will
keep my words: and my Father will love him, and we will come unto him,
and make our abode with him."
The
Lord, Jesus Christ, will soon return to this earth to set up His
everlasting Kingdom. He will destroy all evil in the wrath of His
coming and rid the entire earth of all its defilement. No evil will
ever enter into His Kingdom. Our heavenly Father will dwell there
Himself, and no evil can be in His holy presence. If we have believed
His Word and sanctified ourselves in its truth, we will be able to
actually live with Him.
No
one who denies the Word of almighty God will be able to enter in to
Christ's Kingdom. We must believe that Christ is indeed the Son of God
who died to save us from our sins and was raised again from the dead.
We must be baptized in water and the Holy Spirit and be obedient to do
what the Lord asks of us. All those who are committed to sin and
rebellion will be expelled from God's presence to the lake of fire.
Only those who obey the Word and walk in love will receive eternal life
and all of its many blessings. There will be endless peace and
prosperity, total joy and freedom for all of the righteous. Christ will
protect us from all harm and take vengeance on all our enemies. He will
change our mortal bodies to be like His very own, and we will see our
children and our children's children for all generations to come.
The Great Commission
Matthew 28:18-20 "And Jesus came and spake unto them, saying, All power
is given unto me in heaven and in earth. Go ye therefore, and teach all
nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and
of the Holy Ghost: Teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have
commanded you: and, lo, I am with you alway, [even] unto the end of the
world. Amen.""
Jesus Christ was the captain of our salvation and the firstborn of many
brethren, the Bible tells us. He is our role model for righteousness
and obedience. We were created to function on this earth, just as Jesus
Himself did at one time. We have eternal callings as sons and daughters
of almighty God. We will resume Christ's ministry where He left off and
gather many more souls into the everlasting Kingdom of God.
We
will preach the Gospel to all men, women and children that we might
encounter. Everyone will be given an opportunity to know the truth and
walk in it, so that they can receive eternal life and all its many
blessings. We will share our faith with power and conviction and
baptize all those who desire to accept Jesus as Lord and Savior.
Everyone whose name is written in the Lamb's Book of Life will be
saved.
The
Body of Christ will teach the Lord's commandments and encourage all of
mankind to obey them. We will be anointed for calling in the full,
end-time harvest. Every race, tongue and nation will be able to hear
and receive God's Word. Everyone will be challenged to sanctification
in the truth. God will be glorified in all that we do, and we will
change the fate of the entire human race through our evangelistic
efforts.
John 14:12-14
"Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that believeth on me, the works that
I do shall he do also; and greater works than these shall he do; because
I go unto my Father. And whatsoever ye shall ask in my name, that will I
do, that the Father may be glorified in the Son. If ye shall ask any
thing in my name, I will do [it]."
Christ has promised us His very own
anointing to accomplish all that we must do in the critical days that
lie ahead. We have inherited awesome, divine power and authority to
operate just as He did during His earthly ministry. We will do the
works that He did, and even greater works, since He has gone to be with
the Father and sent the Holy Spirit to be our Counselor.
Whatever we require to be successful,
will indeed be given to us. We are sacred vessels for the Spirit, and
we will be able to accomplish mighty feats in Jesus' name. We will heal
the sick, cast out demons and even raise the dead back to life, as
Christ Himself once did. We will destroy all evil and overcome it with
good, as we usher in the Kingdom of almighty God.
We will work miracles, signs and wonders
in Jesus' name and take back this entire world from Satan, the enemy of
our souls. Nothing will be impossible to us. We will restructure all
human governments and their economies. There will be no more war and
violence, poverty and lack anywhere. We will establish Kingdom
principles of fairness, justice and equality.
All of creation will be restored to its
original beauty and balance. We will speak order and stability to all
of nature and see dramatic changes on the earth. Plants and animals
will be in harmony with one another and subject to man's dominion once
again. We will regulate the climate and reverse the effects of all
pollution. There will be no more contamination or destruction.
Mark 16:17-18
"And these signs shall follow them that believe; In my name shall they
cast out devils; they shall speak with new tongues; They shall take up
serpents; and if they drink any deadly thing, it shall not hurt them;
they shall lay hands on the sick, and they shall recover."
God's way of doing things will soon
prevail on earth as it is in heaven. Every creature will be positively
affected. Nothing will remain the same as it is now. Men will have an
opportunity to be saved to eternal life, and nature will be renewed and
restored. This world and everything in it will be prepared for the
return of Jesus Christ to rule and reign in His Kingdom for all of
eternity.
Those who believe in our Lord and Savior
will revolutionize the entire world on His behalf. We will heal the
sick of all their afflictions. The blind will see; the deaf will hear;
the lame will walk. We will tear down all demonic strongholds that hold
men in bondage to sin and evil. They will hear the Gospel of the
Kingdom, and be set free to inherit eternal life and all of its many
benefits.
We will establish order and stability in
all of nature and set all creatures free to share in the glorious
liberty of the sons of God. There will finally be peace on this earth;
we will restructure all human governments so that they can be absorbed
into the everlasting Kingdom of God. There will be no more poverty and
lack or social injustice of any kind. All men will be treated with
dignity and respect.
Miraculous signs and wonders will attest
to the Word of almighty God as it operates through us. We will speak in
spiritual tongues, cast out devils of all types and heal the sick of
every disease. We will even raise the dead back to life once again and
put the very last enemy – death – underneath Christ's feet. We will
glorify our God in all that we do and have supernatural protection from
harm.
Speaking the Word in Spiritual Tongues
Acts 2:4 "And
they were all filled with the Holy Ghost, and began to speak with other
tongues, as the Spirit gave them utterance."
One of the manifestations of the baptism
in the Holy Spirit of God is the gift of spiritual tongues. It is not
only possible, but desirable, to speak in our supernatural prayer
language as the Lord gives utterance to us. It will enable us to
communicate more directly with our Creator and hear back from Him with
increased clarity, plus minimal distraction and distortion of His Word.
So too, the enemy cannot penetrate our
communications if we pray and speak in tongues. It is sheer gibberish
to him and to all human beings that are unfamiliar with it. However,
speaking in our prayer language is always beneficial to us because the
Holy Spirit Himself intercedes on our behalf. Sometimes we are so
distressed, that all we can do is groan in our spirits.
Speaking in tongues is a sign to the
unbeliever, as well. Only those who are baptized in the Holy Spirit are
able to speak and pray in their spiritual language. It is not easily
comprehended and requires interpretation, so that others can be
edified. If we speak in an unknown tongue, we should also ask the Lord
to decipher it for us, so that our human understanding is total and
complete.
1Corinthians
14:6 "Now, brethren, if I come unto you speaking with tongues, what
shall I profit you, except I shall speak to you either by revelation, or
by knowledge, or by prophesying, or by doctrine?"
Speaking in spiritual tongues should not
become a Holy Ghost "dog and pony show." It was never intended to give
one man an advantage over another, nor was it to be used for theatrical
showmanship. The ability to speak and pray in an unknown spiritual
language is a gift of the Holy Spirit of God to those who believe in Him
and wish to enter into a deeper relationship with almighty God.
It will strengthen us if we pray in our
spiritual prayer language and edify us as nothing else can. It is
direct revelation from the Lord to our human spirits that is carefully
encoded for our privacy and protection. The devil cannot interfere with
our comprehension if we pray in tongues. At best, he can try to
convince us that our prayer language is bogus and that we are not
hearing from God, as we should.
However, when we are gathered together in
a corporate setting, many have the ability to speak in tongues and
others are present to interpret. We need both to edify the church,
together with the other gifts of prophecy, words of wisdom and words of
knowledge. All supernatural manifestations are available to us as
believers, but the Holy Spirit gives us gifts according to His own
specific purpose.
1Corinthians
14:39 "Wherefore, brethren, covet to prophesy, and forbid not to speak
with tongues."
We should never try to quench the Holy
Spirit of almighty God. He gives us gifts to benefit us in every way.
We should all desire that we receive and regularly utilize our spiritual
manifestations. They were intended to benefit us as individuals and as
a church body. They are evidence to unbelievers and will amaze them
that the Lord truly shows Himself to His people.
There are some who would deter us from
speaking and praying in tongues. They say it is blasphemous, and that
these spiritual gifts were only given to the early church at the
original feast of Pentecost. However, there are many who are disciples
of Christ today, who routinely walk in the Holy Spirit and have genuine
spiritual revelation, prophecy and tongues available to them.
If we pray and ask the Lord for deeper
insight into His motives and methods, we will discover that He gives
good gifts to men that will enhance our understanding of deep, spiritual
mysteries and help us to succeed in winning others to Him. All
spiritual manifestations have value and relevance to our lives and are
freely accessible to any who choose to be baptized in the Holy Spirit.
Preaching and Teaching the Word
1Thessalonians 2:4 "But as we were allowed of God to be put in trust
with the gospel, even so we speak; not as pleasing men, but God, which
trieth our hearts."
We
have been sanctified by God's Word and fully instructed in His way of
doing things. He has imbued us with divine power and authority to share
our faith, as He arranges our contacts. We must preach the good news of
the Kingdom of God in all its power, so that men can be set free from
their bondage to sin and evil. We cannot dilute the Word or water down
the conviction that it brings.
It
stands alone in its ability to change lives as never before. It is
mighty for tearing down strongholds of resistance and ignorance. It
will bring light and life to all who know and love it. The Word will
open men's eyes to all that the Lord has in mind for them and give them
hope and confidence for their future. If we rely on God's words, we
will never be left ashamed or empty-handed.
The
fate of all mankind is at stake and we have been entrusted with their
future. We will challenge all men to seek the truth and be persuaded
into believing in our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. Without faith in
Him, they will perish. However, if they do believe in Christ, obey the
Word of God, and walk in love, they will be able to receive the gift of
eternal life and all of its many blessings.
2Timothy 4:2 "Preach the word; be instant in season, out of season;
reprove, rebuke, exhort with all longsuffering and doctrine."
Christ gave us an express command to preach the Word of God in all of
its power and authority in the days to come, so that every man woman and
child on the face of the planet could have an equal opportunity to hear
the truth and be saved to eternal life. We must take our divine
commission seriously and share our faith, so that no one who is sincere
is denied entry into the Kingdom of God.
Unless men believe in Jesus Christ and all that He did for us, they will
be condemned in their own ignorance. Salvation is readily available to
all those who wish to receive it. The Gospel is being preached with
conviction to every race, tongue and nation of the world. If men choose
to steadfastly refuse the truth and rebel against almighty God, they
will be punished in the eternal lake of fire.
We
must reprove, exhort and persuade all those we meet to accept Christ as
their Lord and Savior or they will perish. None of us is righteous in
our own strength; all of mankind requires redemption by the Blood of
Jesus. However, none of us is too incorrigible that we cannot be saved
from all of our sins. We can appropriate our right standing with God
and spend all eternity in His presence.
1Corinthians
2:13 "Which things also we speak, not in the words which man's wisdom
teacheth, but which the Holy Ghost teacheth; comparing spiritual things
with spiritual."
God's Word is sharper than any two-edged
sword. It can discern the thoughts of a man and also reveal the intent of his heart. It will dispel
all darkness and deception and eliminate chaos and confusion. We will
speak the Word and challenge all men to believe the truth. They will no
longer have an excuse for wicked behavior. We will reveal all that we
know, so that they can be set free just as we have been.
We will encourage them to believe in
Jesus Christ and be baptized in His name. Their lives will change as
never before and they will become the sons and daughters of almighty God
Himself. They will receive the free gift of eternal life and all the
promises for righteousness. Should they miss the mark and sin after
receiving their salvation, they can always repent and be restored to
right standing once again.
The Lord is ever faithful to share
special gifts with those who give His Word first place in their lives.
If we will ask Him for the baptism in the Holy Spirit, He will impart
His very own Spirit to us. It will lead us and guide us into all that
God has planned for us. We will be strengthened and empowered to
embrace our divine destinies. We will comprehend deep mysteries of God
that only His Spirit can reveal.
We will see that we are created in His
very image and likeness, and that we have dominion over everything in
this world. We will be anointed to serve the Lord and His people in
divine power and authority that is unmatched. We will take back the
earth and prepare it for the Kingdom of God to be ushered in. We will
be appointed kings and priests of God to rule and reign with Christ
Himself for all of eternity.
Miracles, Signs and Wonders That Confirm the Word
Hebrews 2:3-4
"How shall we escape, if we neglect so great salvation; which at the
first began to be spoken by the Lord, and was confirmed unto us by them
that heard [him]; God also bearing [them] witness, both with signs and
wonders, and with divers miracles, and gifts of the Holy Ghost,
according to his own will?"
There is so much more to the Word of God
than simply the salvation message. While that is wonderful in and of
itself, it is not the end of God's promises. It is only the beginning
of all that we have in store for us as believers in the Lord, Jesus
Christ. We will do the very things that Jesus did during His earthly
ministry, and even greater works, since He has returned to be with His
Father.
The Lord always backs up His Word in
power and authority. He bears witness to all that He says with
miracles, signs and wonders that attest to its verity. He grants His
mature sons and daughters awesome gifts in His Holy Spirit, so that they
can manifest His Word for all of mankind to see. In the days ahead,
men, women, and even children, will walk in a supernatural anointing.
Those who have sanctified themselves in
the truth and presented their bodies as living sacrifices will be called
to be members of the Body of Christ on this earth. We will heal the
sick of all their afflictions; cast out all demons that keep men in
bondage to sin and evil; and even raise the dead back to life once
again. We will operate in the miraculous realm and glorify God in all
we do.
Nothing will be done in our own
strength. The Holy Spirit will operate in us and through us to do the
works. The Lord will show Himself strong in His people and make a
powerful statement to all of mankind. He will demonstrate that He is
still in charge of all His creation. Nothing will remain the same; the
entire universe will be impacted by the manifest power and authority of
God.
Acts 14:3 "Long
time therefore abode they speaking boldly in the Lord, which gave
testimony unto the word of his grace, and granted signs and wonders to
be done by their hands."
There will soon be a global manifestation
of God's glory to attract all of mankind to the Gospel message. Those
who believe in His name and all that He did for us will serve the Lord,
Jesus Christ, as He has commissioned us to do. We will preach the good
news of the Kingdom of God and call all men to repentance. We will see
many souls converted, saved and baptized in Jesus' name.
We will work miracles, signs and wonders
to back up the Word of almighty God. The blind will see; the deaf will
hear; the lame will walk. There will be no sick and infirm among us as
we enter into the Kingdom of God. We will see mass healings and
creative miracles performed, where people receive lost limbs and missing
body parts to restore them to total health and complete wholeness.
Nothing will be in any way impossible to
us. All that we do will be done through the unction of the Holy
Spirit. We will cast out demons and deliver men from their bondage to
sin and evil. We will bind Satan and all his minions from operating in
men's lives, and set them free to be what they were intended to be from
the creation. We will positively impact many lives and overcome evil
with good.
2Corinthians
4:7 "But we have this treasure in earthen vessels, that the excellency
of the power may be of God, and not of us."
God's Word and His awesome power will be
reflected in all that we say and do. We will challenge all world
governments to rethink their policies for dealing with their
constituents and their neighbors. We will eradicate all wars, violence
and conflict in our human relations and eliminate all social injustice.
All of mankind will eventually be treated with fairness, dignity and
respect, as God desires.
There will soon be peace, order and
stability established on the earth, so that the Kingdom of God can be
ushered in without further delay. We will enforce the government of God
and His justice system, so that men everywhere enjoy true freedom. We
will rid the earth of greed and covetousness and destroy all poverty and
lack. The vast resources of the universe will be shared equally among
us.
All creation will be renewed and restored
according to the powerful Word of God. His very own sons and daughters
will take total dominion over nature and establish order and stability,
beauty and balance. The plants and animals will all be in harmony once
again, and subject to man. We will speak to the climate and it will be
regulated, so that there are no more natural catastrophes that cause
destruction.
Mark 16:20 "And
they went forth, and preached every where, the Lord working with [them],
and confirming the word with signs following. Amen."
Disciples of the Lord, Jesus Christ, will
revolutionize the entire earth in the days ahead. All of mankind will
know that we are called of almighty God Himself to take back this world
and everything in it for our Lord and Savior. Nothing will remain the
same. The entire planet will be evangelized with the Word of God.
There will be mass conversions and entire cities and countries will
believe, be saved and baptized.
Every man, woman and child in every
nation of the world, who desires to hear the truth, will have an equal
opportunity to repent of sin and receive the free gift of eternal life.
We will teach them how to walk in love and obey all of God's
commandments to us, so their righteousness is always above and beyond
reproach. They will become eligible to enter into the everlasting
Kingdom of God and enjoy all of its many benefits.
We will make certain that there are no
sick and infirm among us as we enter into the Kingdom of God. Everyone
will be healthy and well. We will perform creative miracles, and people
will have lost limbs restored and be made whole. We will cast out
demons and men will be freed from all sorts of addictions and mental
illnesses. We will even raise the dead back to life once again, and
defeat death once and for all.
Very soon now, Christ will return to us
in all of His power and glory and we will deliver His Kingdom to Him.
He will judge all men and even angels to determine who will be with Him
for all of eternity. The righteous will shine with His glory and be
blessed, but all the rebellious will be banished to the lake of fire.
He will cast Satan and all his minions
into the bottomless pit, so that no evil ever contaminates His people.
Daniel 4:3 "How
great [are] his signs! and how mighty [are] his wonders! his kingdom
[is] an everlasting kingdom, and his dominion [is] from generation to
generation."
The Word of God is powerful for changing
those things that require His divine intervention. Jesus Christ is the
living Word and He will soon return to cleanse and purge the whole earth
and prepare it for the rule and reign of the Kingdom of God. He will
touch down on the Mount of Olives outside Jerusalem and cause a global
earthquake of such scope and magnitude that it will change the face of
the entire world.
All evil will be destroyed in the wrath
of His coming. There will be nothing left that can harm, defile or
contaminate our God and His people. Jesus will raise all the dead back
to life once again, so that they can face judgment with the rest of us.
Some will be saved to eternal life and others will be forever punished.
The righteous will receive new, glorious, resurrection bodies that are
like Christ's very own.
The entire creation will be peaceful,
stable and orderly once again. We are returning to the original beauty,
bounty and balance of the Garden of Eden, with no downside this time.
The Kingdom of God will be a veritable paradise on this earth for both
God and man. Our heavenly Father will actually come and take up
residence with His people. There will never be a separation between God
and man ever again.
The Lord will be a loving Father to us,
as He has always desired. He will nurture and protect us from all
harm. We will have endless blessings of peace and prosperity and thrive
in His presence. He will meet all of our needs in abundance from the
vast resources that the universe has to offer. We will dwell in love,
peace and unity with both men and angels and enjoy our offspring for all
the generations to come.
This world will not ever end, but it will
line up with the express will and the Word of almighty God Himself.
There will be no more wars, violence and conflict. Poverty and lack
will be things of the past. All pain and suffering, disease and death
will be blotted from our memories. There will be no devastation and
destruction of this planet. Heaven will come to this earth in the
everlasting Kingdom of God.
