BORN AGAIN CHRISTIAN BIBLE STUDY SEEKS TRUTH
CAN YOU TRULY SAY ... I AM A BORN AGAIN CHRISTIAN
Remember that we are looking at four different
authors of the Gospels and what one wrote, the others may not have.
For example in this story we are looking at John. He was the beloved
of Jesus. You can tell from his writings he was a very gentle and
emotional soul. Perhaps this is one reason he shares with us stories
and experiences that the others did not. He FELT the experiences
differently. We are all so very different, though we may all be
Christian. We would all write of such an event as our Lord coming and
staying with us for three and a half years differently.
We’ve talked before about how you must be as a child
to enter the Kingdom of Heaven. Now, some of you may have a little
trouble with that still, so here’s yet another point of view. The Lord
finds children so precious and pure, and wants us all to be that way,
so what do you do? You’re not a child and you can’t turn back time so
the answer is you must be born again.
The Apostle Paul said in
Colossians 2:20-3:4, that when
you’re born again your old self dies and your new person is not
subject to carnal laws (human nature). He says touch not; taste not;
handle not man’s ways. You don’t want to do things that Christ
wouldn’t do. In other words, you become Christ-like.
By being born again, you’re starting over with a
clean slate. You’re adopted into the Lord’s family anew. Being born
again and becoming a Christian means you become an heir with Christ.
How about that? You’re not gonna inherit money or fame or anything
like that. You inherit everlasting life!
How many times have you wished you could redo
something again that you did in the past, only, knowing what you know
now? Well, you have the opportunity to do just that! In fact, you can
start your entire life over again! When you become a Christian, you
don’t think the way you used to think. You don’t do the things you
used to do. You don’t want the things you used to want. You don’t feel
the way you used to feel. You become a different person. You’re not
rewinding your life, you’re starting a new one!
There was a man who belonged to the Pharisees, named
Nicodemus, who was a ruler of the Jews. He came to Jesus at night time
and said to Him, Rabbi, we know that you’re a teacher from God,
because no man can do the miracles that you do unless God is with him.
BORN AGAIN CHRISTIAN BIBLE STUDY CONCERN
I AM A BORN AGAIN CHRISTIAN WARNING
Jesus replied to Nicodemus, Truly I tell you, Unless
a man is born again (from above), he can’t see the Kingdom of
God. Nicodemus asked (and you may still be wondering too), How can a
man be born when he is old? Can he enter the second time into his
mother’s womb and be born? Jesus said, Unless a man be born of water
(adopted as a child of God into His family) and of the Spirit, he
can’t enter into the Kingdom of God. (Jesus was born of the Spirit, as
you know, and when you’re reborn, you are a child of the Spirit ... Which is God).
That which is born of the flesh is flesh, and that
which is born of the Spirit is spirit. Don’t be surprised that I said,
You must be born again. The wind blows where it wishes, and you hear
the sound of it, but you can’t tell where it comes from or where it
goes. That’s how it is with everyone who is born of the Spirit.
How can these things be? Nicodemus asked. Jesus
said, You’re a master of Israel, and you don’t know these things?
Truly I say to you, We speak what we know and tell what we’ve seen and
you don’t believe our testimony. If I’ve told you earthly things and
you don’t believe them, how could you believe if I tell you about
Heavenly (Spiritual) things? (If you are not born of the Spirit,
Spiritual things would be like a foreign language to you that you
don’t understand.) No man has ascended up to
Heaven, except He that came down from Heaven,
that is, the Son
of man which is in Heaven. (You can’t go there, unless you’re from
there.) And as Moses lifted up the serpent in the wilderness (When the
children of Israel provoked the Lord in the wilderness, He sent fiery
serpents among them and they bit the people and so many of them died.
Moses made a serpent of brass and hung it on a pole, and whoever was
bitten and looked at the serpent that Moses made, lived. (Numbers
21:9), so must the Son of man be lifted up (hung), so
whoever believes in Him will not perish, but have eternal life.
BORN AGAIN CHRISTIAN BIBLE STUDY HOPE
AM A BORN AGAIN CHRISTIAN BLESSING
Now, what Jesus said next, has become one of the
most remembered statements that Jesus ever said, because it’s the key
to salvation: You probably see “John
3:16” painted by enthusiastic Christians on water
towers, on signs at sporting events, displayed on pieces of cardboard
by homeless people, included in graffiti, written on billboard frames,
etc. His message gets around:

John 3:16
For God so loved the world, that He gave His only
begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in Him should not perish, but
have everlasting life.
|
So now, when you’re born again, you not only get a
second chance at life, but you get everlasting life as well! Peter explains that we are born again to a living hope:

1 Peter 1:3-5
Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, which according to His abundant mercy hath begotten us again unto a lively hope by the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead, To an inheritance incorruptible, and undefiled, and that fadeth not away, reserved in Heaven for you, Who are kept by the power of God through faith unto salvation ready to be revealed in the last time.

Jesus continued, Because God didn’t send His Son
into the world to judge the world, but that the world, through Him,
might be saved. Whoever believes in Him isn’t judged, but whoever
doesn’t believe is judged already because he hasn’t believed in the
name of the only begotten Son of God. And this is the judgment: That
light has come into the world, and men loved darkness rather than
light, because their deeds were evil. Everyone that does evil, hates
the light, for fear that his deeds will be examined. But whoever lives
righteously comes to the light, so his deeds may be made clear that
they’re of God.
Jesus is the light of the world. Get to know Him through the Holy
Spirit, and He’ll change your life. Don’t be afraid to talk to Him
because of anything that you’ve ever done. It’s NEVER too late.
Remember, He forgives. Even though He knows you already, introduce
yourself to Him. Build a relationship, a friendship, a love, a trust,
a dependence. Talk to Him. He’s like no one else. He’s what you’ve
been waiting for, your whole life.
