Loving Grace and Grace Power Truth
Biblical Grace in the Bible Promise

Daily Bread is delighted you're here! Why do you want God's Grace? He must be important to you in order for you to care about whether or not you are in God's "good graces." When you accept God's Grace, you become a servant of God. That doesn't mean you're His prisoner, it means that He sets you free from sin.

What are the qualities of a servant of God? How do you recognize them? Paul tells the Corinthians that people who want God's Grace are a different breed than others. They possess righteous qualities, and yet are proud to endure all unrighteousness.

Many times Paul has accused himself of not being well spoken, but I have yet to see that. Quite the opposite in fact. This chapter is one of particular eloquence. Perhaps Paul was just a humble person, or maybe he just meant that Truth is the thing that is so well versed. At any rate, you're gonna love his delivery today.

Biblical Grace in the Bible Quest

First off, Paul begs us not to waste the gift of Grace that we are given by God and reminds us that our Lord is there for us whenever we need Him. He cites this beautiful scripture:

Isaiah 49:8

Thus saith the Lord, In an acceptable time have I heard thee, and in a day of salvation have I helped thee: and I will preserve thee,

Okay, you asked for God's Grace and He gave it to you. Now it's time to put it to use. Don't take God's Grace and do nothing with it. Don't procrastinate. Don't use it half-heartedly. When you accept His Grace, you're receiving a gift from Him. Put all God's gifts to you to use in every way that you can, and there are unlimited opportunities if you look for them.

2 Corinthians 6:3-10

3 Giving no offence in any thing [represent Christ in your life in a way that nobody will be offended], that the ministry be not blamed:
4 But in all things approving ourselves [being worthy] as the ministers of God, in much patience, in afflictions, in necessities, in distresses,
5 In stripes [beatings], in imprisonments, in tumults [attacks], in labours, in watchings [sleeplessness], in fastings;
6 By pureness, by knowledge, by long suffering [patience], by kindness, by the Holy Ghost, by love unfeigned [genuine],
7 By the Word of Truth, by the power of God, by the armour of righteousness on the right hand and on the left,
8 By honour and dishonour, by evil report and good report: as deceivers, and yet true;
9 As unknown, and yet well known; as dying, and, behold, we live; as chastened, and not killed;
10 As sorrowful, yet alway rejoicing; as poor, yet making many rich; as having nothing, and yet possessing all things.

One may discern these passages many different ways. In fact, you can go to many different Bible Translations and come away with a different understanding from each one, and the Holy Spirit may deliver it to your heart differently from your fellow Christian's. One thing is certain, however, you will go through trial and tribulation as a Christian and if you allow yourself to have the mind of Christ, you can turn any situation you are in, into a reflection of Him.

Paul truly loves people as if they are begotten by him. He explains this to the Corinthians and despite the rumors, and their own emotions, urges them not to pause in their faith.

2 Corinthians 6:14-18

14 Be ye not unequally yoked together with unbelievers: for what fellowship hath righteousness with unrighteousness? and what communion hath light with darkness?
15 And what concord hath Christ with Belial? or what part hath he that believeth with an infidel?
16 And what agreement hath the temple of God with idols? for ye are the temple of the living God; as God hath said [Exodus 29:45], I will dwell in them, and walk in them; and I will be their God, and they shall be my people.
17 Wherefore come out from among them, and be ye separate, saith the Lord, and touch not the unclean thing; and I will receive you.
18 And will be a Father unto you, and ye shall be my sons and daughters, saith the Lord Almighty. Jeremiah 31:1, Revelation 21:7
