Welcome Back Friend!
Heavenly Bound Promise
Heaven is Home Hope
Let us begin, shall we? Now, that we have a better understanding of
why we go through our trials and tribulations on earth, let's find
out what happens when our soul finally leaves this earthly realm and
enters the next Spiritual realm being Heaven bound.
Ever wonder what happens to your body, spirit and soul when you die?
What happens to you when you die? Are you heavenly bound?
Let's start with ... You!
Who are you, anyway?
No, no, not what name you were given when you were born. No, not what your job or career is. Who are you?
To make this a little bit easier to understand, think about this:
God created you in His image.
Genesis 1:26
And God said, Let us make man in our image, after our likeness ...
What's this "our" image and "our" likeness thing all about?
Heavenly Bound Field Trip ... Let's take a look at the image of God.
God the Father
God the Son
God the Holy Spirit
This is called the Holy Trinity. He is one God, in three divine persons.
1 John 5:7
For there are three that bear record in Heaven, the Father, the Word,
and the Holy Ghost: and these three are one.
Now, if you are created in His image, there must be
three parts of you also. The Bible confirms this:
1 John 5:7-8
7 For there are three that bear record in heaven, the
Father, the Word, and the Holy Ghost: and these three are one.
8 And there are three that bear witness in earth, the
Spirit, and the water, and the blood: and these three agree in one.

Heaven is Home and the Trinity
So, what are these three parts of the Human Trinity where we were
made in God's Image?
Your soul
Your body
Your spirit
First, let's talk about the body. The flesh.
Maybe along with gravity, it keeps our souls and spirits anchored to
the Earth. It came from the Earth, and when you die, the body ...
That body that your soul and spirit have dragged around for a
lifetime ... Goes back where it came from ... The Earth.
Now, read these two verses from the book of Genesis as to
see where the body came from and what happens to it when it
dies.
Genesis 2:7
And the LORD God formed man of the dust of the ground, and breathed
into his nostrils the breath of life; and man became a living soul.
Genesis 3:19
In the sweat of thy face shalt thou eat bread, till thou return unto
the ground; for out of it wast thou taken: for dust thou art, and
unto dust shalt thou return.
~formed man of the dust of the ground~
~till thou return unto the ground~
So, now you know where the body came from and where it goes when it
dies, however, don't neglect to give it the Spiritual care it
deserves.
1 Corinthians 6:19-20
19 What? know ye not that your body is the temple of the
Holy Ghost which is in you, which ye have of God, and ye are not your
own?
20 For ye are bought with a price: therefore glorify God
in your body, and in your spirit, which are God's.
Who is Heavenly Bound?
Heaven is Home Within
Next, take a look at the spirit of man.
What is your spirit?
Keep in mind that we are made in God's image, and He sent the Holy
Spirit to teach us Truth.
John 14:26
But the Comforter, which is the Holy Ghost, whom the Father will send
in my name, He shall teach you all things, and bring all things to
your remembrance, whatsoever I have said unto you.
But our spirit is not the Holy Spirit. Man has been given a
spirit as well. It's important for you to understand that your
spirit is the part of you that listens and obeys the things that your
mind tells it to feel.
1 Corinthians 2:11
For what man knoweth the things of a man, save the spirit of man
which is in him? even so the things of God knoweth no man, but
the Spirit of God.
Let me explain more ... You have many different feelings. Happiness,
sadness, fear, excitement, love, anger, and so on. Your spirit holds
these emotions. You don't walk around happy all the time, or angry
all the time, or fearful all the time ...
But, your spirit stores these feelings and when your mind tells your
spirit that something is sad, your spirit says "Gotcha" (understood)
and you become sad in your spirit.
In other words, your spirit reacts to what your mind tells it. Your
mind and your spirit can cause physical reactions too. Crying, goose
bumps, shaking, laughter as well as other physical changes.
All this just from a thought that entered into your mind ... This
reveals that the body is subject to the mind as well.
You can control your spirit by changing and controlling your thoughts.

Heavenly Bound Procedure
Heaven is Home Blessing
All you have to do, is send your spirit the signal for a different
feeling by thinking differently. But ... Your mind has to believe it
to be Truth.
By learning the Truth of being Heaven bound and what happens when and after you die, your
mind is giving your spirit a new reaction to the result of death of
the physical body, and instead of fear, it is being replaced with the
hope and comfort of the Truth.
What happens to your spirit when your body dies? Your spirit,
goes back to God when your mortal body dies, because it belongs to
Him:
Ecclesiastes 12:7
Then shall the dust return to the Earth as it was: and the spirit
shall return unto God who gave it.
Now this is very important!
Many people think that the spirit and the soul are the same thing,
but they are not.
1 Thessalonians 5:23
And the very God of peace sanctify you wholly; and I pray God your
whole spirit and soul and body be preserved blameless unto the
coming of our Lord Jesus Christ.
This brings forth the answer to the question asked earlier ... Who are you, anyway?
You are the soul !!!
Your soul is your being. It is your existence. When you think of your
virtues, not your physical self, but rather the things that make you
who you are and different from everyone else that ever existed
... That ... Is who you are.
You are YOU-nique.

Heaven is Home Gift
Finally, the answer to ... What happens to you . . . Your soul . . .
when your body dies?
If you are a believer in Jesus Christ, it is a journey to look
forward to. Being Heaven bound is glorious. Let the Bible be your travel brochure and let the Saints,
the Prophets, the Apostles, Disciples and Angels be your travel
agents and guides. Let the Holy Spirit be your pilot and captain, and
enjoy your trip/vacation/retirement/rest. It has already been
prepared:
John 14:2
In my Father's house are many mansions: if it were not so, I would
have told you. I go to prepare a place for you.
1 Corinthians 2:9
But as it is written, Eye hath not seen, nor ear heard, neither have
entered into the heart of man, the things which God hath prepared for
them that love Him.
Did you read that?
Being Heaven Bound Point of Interest ... That means
that even if you could imagine Heaven, being the most wonderful place
you could ever think of, you still haven't imagined a place as
wonderful as Heaven truly is, because you can't. Being Heavenly Bound
is a blessing beyond understanding.
As humans, we don't have the ability to imagine such wonder. It's
just too awesome. But one day we will.
Paul tells us something interesting:
1 Corinthians 13:9-12
9 For we know in part, and we prophesy in part.
10 But when that which is perfect is come, then that which
is in part shall be done away.
11 When I was a child, I spake as a child, I understood as
a child, I thought as a child: but when I became a man, I put away
childish things.
12 For now we see through a glass, darkly; but then face
to face: now I know in part; but then shall I know even as also I am
known.
Let's discern this beautiful being Heaven bound Scripture.
I'll let Paul explain the first sentence in his own words:
1 Corinthians 8:2
And if any man think that he knoweth any thing, he knoweth nothing
yet as he ought to know.
Heavenly Bound Summary
Heaven is Home To Christians
1 Corinthians 13:10
But when that which is perfect [Jesus] is come, then that which is in part shall be done away [with].
Just like when you were a child, Paul goes on to say, you could only
understand things that a child is capable of understanding, but when
you become an adult, you understand more.
Now picture a two way mirror, like they have in interrogation rooms
that you see on television in police stations. If you're on the
mirror side, you don't know what's on the other side, but from the
other side, you know what's on both sides of the glass.
Being once blind, but will see. As mortals, our knowledge is
limited as well, but those who are changed from mortal to immortal
will put away the understanding of a man, and replace it with
Spiritual understanding . . . They will come out from behind the
glass, and see (understand) everything. This is part of the Heaven Bound hope that eternal life (after this life) holds for us.
