The Perfect Prayer Recipe

Spiritual Prayers of Perfection Procedure

The more you grow in Him by following His plans, the more you become like Him. You will sense His will, because He lives within you, guiding you and conforming you. The more you become like Him, the closer you'll be to the center of His will for you and your life.

Jeremiah 29:12-13

12 Then shall ye call upon me, and ye shall go and pray unto me, and I will hearken unto you.
13 And ye shall seek me, and find me, when ye shall search for me with all your heart.

Don't forget to listen when you pray. Listen with your heart. Ask Him what He wants to say from His heart, and then listen. You're having a conversation with the Lord, so give Him a chance to talk.

Give Him time to answer. Don't forget that God is a Spirit.

John 4:24

God is a Spirit: and they that worship Him must worship Him in spirit and in truth.

So, His answers may not be in the form that you expect. You never know how He may answer you as He has in the past according to the Bible, with wind, thunder, a hand in the clouds or a hand writing on a wall or perhaps a still small voice as Elijah described:

1 Kings 19:12

And after the earthquake a fire; but the LORD was not in the fire: and after the fire a still small voice.

The Perfect Prayer Path to Success

These next passages show the different ways that people effectively prayed in the Bible is kneeling before the Lord during prayer reveals reverence for the Lord.

Psalms 95:6

O come, let us worship and bow down: let us kneel before the LORD our maker.

Daniel 6:10

Now, when Daniel knew that the writing was signed, he went into his house; and his windows being open in his chamber toward Jerusalem, he kneeled upon his knees three times a day, and prayed, and gave thanks before his God, as he did aforetime.

1 Kings 8:54

And it was so, that when Solomon had made an end of praying all this prayer and supplication unto the LORD, he arose from before the altar of the LORD, from kneeling on his knees with his hands spread up to Heaven.

1 Timothy 2:8

I will therefore that men pray every where, lifting up holy hands, without wrath and doubting.

Luke 22:41

And He [Jesus] was withdrawn from them about a stone's cast, and kneeled down, and prayed.

Acts 9:40

But Peter put them all forth, and kneeled down, and prayed.

Prayer is all about reverence and getting a leash on our flesh the perfect prayer. The Lord has made it clear that every knee should bow to Him.

Romans 14:11

For it is written, As I live, saith the Lord, every knee shall bow to me, and every tongue shall confess to God.

The Perfect Prayer Pitfall

Spiritual Prayers of Perfection Hope

What keeps some from wanting to get down on their knees? It is the flesh. The flesh is selfish and almost prideful in nature. Perhaps due to the original sin within:

Check out this study:

So, forcing our flesh to become obedient by bowing to the Lord is a show of devotion not only in soul and spirit ... But flesh.

So why not give it a try and add Faith that it will bring forth a more effective relationship between you and your Lord to bow to Him in His Spiritual presence.

Psalms 95:6

O come, let us worship and bow down: let us kneel before the LORD our maker.

The choice is up to you ...

The Perfect Prayer Comes From the Heart

I believe it would improve your relationship with your Lord to show more respect and would bring forth better fruits. I believe while down there, one day it will just come to you, why you are down there in such a humble position ...

He is God and we ... Are not.

God gave His only Son so we could get into Heaven and that one act, that one choice alone earns Him our deepest respect. That is reverence. He and He alone truly does deserve it. Below are some of the words of Jesus concerning the perfect prayer.

Ask and you shall receive.

Matthew 7:7

Ask, and it shall be given you; seek, and ye shall find; knock, and it shall be opened unto you.

Believe to receive.

Matthew 21:22

And all things, whatsoever ye shall ask in prayer, believing, ye shall receive.

The Perfect Prayer Requires Belief

This means that you must passionately desire, believe and forgive all when you pray.

Mark 11:22-25

22 And Jesus answering saith unto them, Have faith in God.
23 For verily I say unto you, That whosoever shall say unto this mountain, Be thou removed, and be thou cast into the sea; and shall not doubt in his heart, but shall believe that those things which he saith shall come to pass; he shall have whatsoever he saith.
24 Therefore I say unto you, What things soever ye desire, when ye pray, believe that ye receive them, and ye shall have them.
25 And when ye stand praying, forgive, if ye have ought against any: that your Father also which is in Heaven may forgive you your trespasses.

Love is also a very important part of the perfect prayer.

To avoid prayer being hindered you must love all.

1 Peter 3:7

Likewise, ye husbands, dwell with them according to knowledge, giving honour unto the wife, as unto the weaker vessel, and as being heirs together of the Grace of life; that your prayers be not hindered.

Matthew 5:43-48

43 Ye have heard that it hath been said, Thou shalt love thy neighbour, and hate thine enemy.
44 But I say unto you, Love your enemies, bless them that curse you, do good to them that hate you, and pray for them which despitefully use you, and persecute you;
45 That ye may be the children of your Father which is in Heaven: for He maketh His sun to rise on the evil and on the good, and sendeth rain on the just and on the unjust.
46 For if ye love them which love you, what reward have ye? do not even the publicans the same?
47 And if ye salute your brethren only, what do ye more than others? do not even the publicans so?
48 Be ye therefore perfect, even as your Father which is in Heaven is perfect.

Other Ways You Can Offer the Perfect Prayer

Keep a Journal

You may have heard before that the Bible is the Lord's love letter to you. How about writing down your prayers to Him? It's also a great way to see the progress of your prayer life and your walk of Faith.

David did ... In his Psalms.

Another thing to ponder on for Spiritual Prayers of Perfection ... Think about when we discussed praying for God's will a few moments ago, and remember that God's perspective is eternity. When He answers a prayer, our temporal outlook on our lives, sometimes cause us to limit our perspective and we can't see the potential of the blessings that He bestows on us.

You may pray for the opportunity to serve God better, and His answer to your prayer may not be the same plan as yours. Keep your heart open to the doors He opens in your life. There may be sacrifices that are necessary in order to fulfill His will. The means by which His will is accomplished may seem extreme to us, but don't forget, He is in control, and He knows what's best. Things that seem tragic to us, are sometimes a blessing from our Father.

For example: Sometimes the only way to make time in some peoples lives to serve Him is to remove us from things that we hold most important to us, because we put those things above and before Him.

John 15:2

Every branch in me that beareth not fruit He taketh away: and every branch that beareth fruit, He purgeth it, that it may bring forth more fruit.

Jesus explains this, that God purges, or prunes our lives, so that we can produce more fruit for Him.

Father, It's Me Again

Here is a quick perfect prayer reminder. That little saying about God's answers to prayer being ... Yes, No, and Not now. Let's talk about when the answer is, "Not now."

The Perfect Prayer Timing

Spiritual Prayers of Perfection Blessing

Patience is essential during the learning how to pray effectively process ... Sometimes we must be patient in waiting for our prayers to be answered. God's timing isn't always our timing. We tend to want things to happen now, we don't want to wait.

But, again, we don't see the full picture. From eternity, the things we think are important don't amount to much, but God created us with a specific purpose in mind, and His timing is perfect!

So, when we think things are moving too slow in our life, we need to wait, because God is moving everything into its proper place. Jesus told a parable to His disciples about this, that people should always pray, and not to lose heart.

Luke 18:2-8

2 Saying, There was in a city a judge, which feared not God, neither regarded man:
3 And there was a widow in that city; and she came unto him, saying, Avenge me of mine adversary.
4 And he would not for a while: but afterward he said within himself, Though I fear not God, nor regard man;
5 Yet because this widow troubleth me, I will avenge her, lest by her continual coming she weary me.
6 And the Lord said, Hear what the unjust judge saith.
7 And shall not God avenge His own elect, which cry day and night unto Him, though He bear long with them?
8 I tell you that He will avenge them speedily.
Nevertheless when the Son of man cometh, shall He find faith on the earth?

Don't lose heart! Wait on the Lord.

The perfect prayer advice ... Don't be impatient for the Lord to act.
Travel steadily along His path.

Psalms 37:34

Wait on the LORD, and keep His way, and He shall exalt thee to inherit the land: when the wicked are cut off, thou shalt see it.

The Perfect Prayer in the Name of Jesus

Always ask in Jesus' name. Jesus said:

John 14:13-14

13 And whatsoever ye shall ask in my name, that will I do, that the Father may be glorified in the Son.
14 If ye shall ask any thing in my name, I will do it.

Consider Jesus as the bridge between you and God.

1 Timothy 2:5

For there is one God, and One mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus;

Let's take the perfect prayer field trip ... This is a good time to talk about something very important ... I won't mention any names or specific teachings. I'll let you be the judge. Mary (the Mother of Jesus) was a special woman that God chose as a vessel to bear Jesus. She was pure and humble and God blessed her.

Now, I am very aware that this how to pray effectively for an effective Christian prayer life topic is a sensitive issue to many, and most would prefer to just close their eyes and ears and repeat "La la la la la la la," as loud as they can.

I don't seek to divide the body of Christ nor do I seek to judge anyone because I believe in Grace. However, I tickle ears poorly and Truth must prevail.

The Spiritual Prayers of Perfection topic was brought before me and I'm not asking that you believe my words ...

But rather ... God's Word.

There are a lot of people that pray to Mary and through some past Saints. The problem is that not only does the Bible not say anything about praying to her or through any Saint, but says just the opposite. There are a lot of people who were raised, believing that it's proper to ask a dead Saint for intercession for them.

Some people think if you ask St. Christopher to talk to God, you'll be protected when you travel.

Some people think if you bury a statue of St. Joseph in your front yard when your house is for sale, St. Joseph will ask God to make the house sell faster.

Some people believe that if you lose something and you ask St. Jude to have a word with God, you'll find whatever it is you lost.

Some people think that if you say 371 Hail Mary's, your prayer will be answered, and then you have to tell 9 friends about it or all deals are off.

Maybe you were taught this way of praying and never questioned it, but we are taught to "Prove all things."

1 Thessalonians 5:21

Prove all things; hold fast that which is good.

So let's do a little of the perfect prayer probing for proof, shall we? As you learned earlier, the Bible teaches us to pray in the name of Jesus.

John 14:13-14

13 And whatsoever ye shall ask in my name, that will I do, that the Father may be glorified in the Son.
14 If ye shall ask any thing in my name, I will do it.

To obtain and maintain Spiritual Prayers of Perfection, the Bible is very clear that Jesus is the Mediator between us and God and that nobody gets through to the Father without going through Jesus. The perfect prayer can never occur without Jesus.

Remember:

1 Timothy 2:5

For there is one God, and One mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus;

John 10:9

I am the door: by me if any man enter in, he shall be saved, and shall go in and out, and find pasture.

You must enter in the Jesus door to get to God.

John 16:23-26

23 And in that day ye shall ask me nothing. Verily, verily, I say unto you, Whatsoever ye shall ask the Father in my name, He will give it you.
24 Hitherto have ye asked nothing in my name: ask, and ye shall receive, that your joy may be full.
25 These things have I spoken unto you in proverbs: but the time cometh, when I shall no more speak unto you in proverbs, but I shall shew you plainly of the Father.
26 At that day ye shall ask in my name: and I say not unto you, that I will pray the Father for you:

So we pray ...To God, through Jesus, by the Holy Spirit.

Again ... The Holy Ghost communes with our spirit and shares with God what we pray for.

Romans 8:26-27

26 Likewise the Spirit also helpeth our infirmities: for we know not what we should pray for as we ought: but the Spirit itself maketh intercession for us with groanings which cannot be uttered.
27 And He that searcheth the hearts knoweth what is the mind of the Spirit, because He maketh intercession for the Saints according to the Will of God.

Ponder on the perfect prayer path ...

Why would anyone have you pray through them instead of Jesus, as it is written to do? Would this not hinder the prayer? Has Mary or any Prophet of God, Apostle or Christian that you've ever read about in the Bible ever suggested that you pray to or through them to God?

The entire Christian way is based on humility.

If you still have your nose turned up because of the way you were taught, there's always one thing you can do ...

Pray about it! Just make sure you do it in the Name of Jesus.
