DIANE'S POETRY
Chairs

Chairs
“The lady who takes care of me says
I am
NOT
to climb!
It seems that every time I
do,
I’m
caught
… time after time.
I wish that she could understand
that cats
need
lofty heights,
to
spy on birds and
dogs
and such … and watch for
tasty mice!
But since I have grown
older
and much
wiser,
I have learned…
that climbing chairs is
not
a habit
lightly
to be spurned.
It’s
useful…it’s
enjoyable
- so what more can I
say?
I’ll
persevere...I’ll
scale
the heights,
(and climb while she’s
away!).”
Consider well the path of your feet, and let
all your ways be established and ordered aright.
