Psalm 12:6-7
“The words of the LORD [are] pure words: [as] silver tried in a furnace
of earth, purified seven times. Thou shalt keep them, O LORD, thou shalt
preserve them from this generation forever.”
The Word of God in the Holy Bible is
perfect in every way. It reflects God’s amazing thoughts on every
subject imaginable. It reinforces His purpose and intent, and has the
inherent ability to create or destroy. It is filled with fathomless
wisdom and supernatural revelation. It will lift up our spirits,
convict us of our sin and instruct us in true righteousness. The Lord
communicates with His people in His written Word and gives us valuable
guidance and direction, so that we can always walk in His ways.
With words, the Lord constructed the
entire universe and created all life forms. He spoke everything that
exists in the natural world into reality with the mere utterance of His
mouth. He left us a record of the history of all mankind in divinely
inspired Scriptures that record His Word and His will for all of
posterity. God’s words can be both poetic and powerful, but they will
never return to Him void. He is extremely careful what He speaks to His
people and diligent to follow through at all times.
The Bible is the authentic Word of God
and the final authority in all matters. We can be certain that whatever
the Lord tells us to do will prosper and succeed. He backs up His Word
with His very own divine power that is both indisputable and binding.
If God tells us something, we can rely on the fact that He will fulfill
His claims. He may forecast important things to come; reveal deep
secrets that only those who are spiritually mature can understand; or
persuade us in matters that pertain to holiness.
Regardless of what form the Word takes,
it is truly compelling. We dare not alter what God says or corrupt it
in any way. His words are sacred and inviolable and will always
prevail. Our words that mirror His very own will move mountains and
change the fate of all of mankind. We must be diligent to study God’s
Word and apply it to our personal lives. It will work miracles in all
of our situations and circumstances. We will soon discover that there
is genuine power inherent in the Word of almighty God.
Hebrews 4:12
“For the word of God [is] quick, and powerful, and sharper than any
twoedged sword, piercing even to the dividing asunder of soul and
spirit, and of the joints and marrow, and [is] a discerner of the
thoughts and intents of the heart.”
God’s Word convicts us of sin and shows
us the way to salvation in Him. It cuts right to the heart of every
matter. It reflects His absolute standards for moral behavior. If we
do what God says, we will be in right standing with Him. If we follow
all of His advice, we can achieve holiness and be eligible to enter into
His awesome presence for all of eternity in the Kingdom of God.
The Word of God is Spirit and life to all
who know, love and respect it. If we are earnest students of the Holy
Scriptures, we will learn what God expects of us and what we can expect
from Him. If we purposely follow His valuable guidance and direction to
us, we will eventually be able to overcome the world, our flesh and the
devil, and be victorious in every area of our lives.
The Bible has tremendous wisdom and
revelation to impart to us. If we require answers to any problem or
perplexity that we face, we can rely on almighty God to provide the
solution. His words are ageless and timeless, and always relevant to
our needs. They are practical and easy to implement on a daily basis.
We should always consult His Word, so that we can be successful.
At first glance, the Word of God may
appear difficult to understand, but if we will pray and ask for divine
revelation the Lord will always make it clearer to us. We can spend our
entire lives reading the Scriptures and never fail to be amazed that
they tell us something new and meaningful all the time. If we approach
the Word with anticipation, we will always gain valuable insight.
Psalm 18:30
“[As for] God, his way [is] perfect: the word of the LORD is tried: he
[is] a buckler to all those that trust in him.”
We are without excuse; there is no reason
why any of us should fail. We have the written and spoken Word of
almighty God Himself to reference. We do not have to perish for lack of
knowledge. God always has and always will continue to speak to us. He
has given us all that we require to be saved to eternal life, maintain
our righteousness and grow in our knowledge of Him and His ways. We can
overcome all our tendencies to temptation and sin and become godly.
Our righteousness must be total and
complete if we wish to see God and dwell in His awesome presence. We
cannot ever compromise our love walk and obedience if we plan on
entering into the Kingdom of God. No wickedness or defilement of any
kind will be tolerated. We will have to crucify our flesh and forego
all the selfishness of our souls to spend all of eternity in heaven on
the earth. However, if we will trust God and adhere to His Word, we
will always be blessed.
The Lord has a perfect plan in place for
the redemption of all mankind. He has only our best interest in mind,
and He will move heaven and earth to provide for His people. If we
believe in His Son and all that He did for us, we will receive the free
gift of eternal life. The Lord sees us as being totally cleansed
through our faith and joint-heirs with Jesus. If we are faithful to
serve Him and His people, we will receive honor and glory in the
everlasting Kingdom to come.
The Word tells us what to expect in our
future. We can have hope and confidence that the Lord will make good on
all of His promises to us. He will provide all of our needs in
abundance and boast of us to all creation as His very own sons and
daughters. He will take vengeance on all of our enemies and protect us
from all harm. There will be no pain and suffering in His presence; we
will receive glorious, resurrection bodies that are impervious to
disease, decay and death.
Romans 15:4
“For whatsoever things were written aforetime were written for our
learning, that we through patience and comfort of the scriptures might
have hope.”
The Lord will never leave us or forsake
us. He desires to be in continuous, intimate relationship with His
children. He has the loving heart of a Father and wants to nurture and
protect us from all harm. His Word is His gift to us, a permanent
reminder of how much He wants to bless us. If we spend time in His
presence through prayer, meditation and study of the Scriptures, we will
come to realize that God does indeed care for us with a deep, abiding
love that transcends human understanding.
He wants us to have all of the advantages
that He originally provided for Adam and Eve when He created mankind.
He has a perfect plan for our future that includes our return to
paradise on this earth in the Kingdom of God. He challenges us to
sanctify and prepare ourselves, and encourages us to be hopeful and
confident in all of His promises for righteousness. He desires that we
walk in love, be totally obedient to all of His commandments and
fellowship closely with Him at all times.
The Bible will take us where we want to
go, if we are diligent to study it and apply it to our lives. It is
always relevant, and was written through divine inspiration by men who
truly loved the Lord. They knew first hand the many benefits that could
be derived from knowledge of God’s Word. If we learn to read, hear,
speak and pray what God says, we will see miracles of faith abound in
our everyday lives. We can be certain that whatever God tells us to do
will always prosper and succeed.
God’s Word Has Meaning And Purpose
Isaiah 55:11
“So shall my word be that goeth forth out of my mouth: it shall not
return unto me void, but it shall accomplish that which I please, and it
shall prosper [in the thing] whereto I sent it.”
Every word of almighty God has meaning,
purpose and intent. It never returns to Him void, but always has good
results. It prospers in all that it was sent to do. It may convict us
of wrongdoing, save our souls and motivate us to greatness. It can be
practical for our everyday lives or touch on eternal truths. Regardless
of what God says, it is relevant to our well-being and it will benefit
us in every respect.
The Word of God instructs, rebukes and
exhorts us to be righteous and godly in all that we do. It reveals the
Lord’s deep secrets to all those who desire to know His ways. It
inspires, edifies and encourages us to fulfill our divine destinies. It
speaks of the Kingdom of God and tells us what to expect in the days to
come. It offers sage advice on healthy living, sound relationships and
prosperity.
The Lord has a perfect plan for our
welfare and not for evil. If we tap into His infinite wisdom and
develop a positive mindset to obey all that He tells us, we will never
be without divine revelation to solve even our most complex problems.
His words address every area of our concern. The psalms deal with
social, political and spiritual issues. The proverbs give us practical
guidelines for daily living.
The gospels show us the way to eternal
salvation and right standing with God. The prophecies tell us what to
expect in the future. The historical books chronicle the lives of those
who came before us – their struggles, victories and defeats. There is
no subject that remains untouched in God’s Word. He has made it easy
for us to discover and comprehend what He thinks on every conceivable
topic.
Proverbs
4:20-22 “My son, attend to my words; incline thine ear unto my sayings.
Let them not depart from thine eyes; keep them in the midst of thine
heart. For they [are] life unto those that find them, and health to all
their flesh.”
We can never get too much of the Word of
God. It is impossible to overdose on it. It is life and light to all
who love it. We should read it, hear it and speak it over our lives, so
that we can avoid costly mistakes that jeopardize our welfare. God has
a perfect plan for our lives, so that we can prevail in all our
situations and circumstances. He has only our best interest in mind;
His commandments are never without purpose.
The Bible is our handbook for success,
our instruction manual for righteousness and godliness. The Lord has
addressed all of our areas of concern in His Word. He tells us how to
remain in right standing with Him and in close fellowship with one
another. He gives us advice about how to conduct our lives, so that we
are always healthy and well. He shows us how to prosper financially, so
that we are never in need.
The Lord also teaches us how to mature
and draw closer to Him. He gives us moral absolutes that we must follow
and practical guidelines to help us be all that we are called to be. He
reveals our divine destinies to us and then shows us how to fulfill
them. He illustrates examples of what others have done to achieve
success. He inspires, encourages, exhorts and instructs us to present
our lives in humble service to Him.
Psalm 119:116
“Uphold me according unto thy word, that I may live: and let me not be
ashamed of my hope.”
The Holy Scriptures are our only anchors
of hope in a dark and troubled world. We must purposely focus on the
light and life of God’s Word or succumb to deception and defeat. We can
rely on all of God’s promises to us, and be confident for our future.
We have eternal callings as the sons of almighty God and He will never
leave us or forsake no matter how bleak things become on the earth.
We will rise up in divine power and
authority and take back the entire world for the Kingdom of God.
Nothing will be impossible to us. If we have adequately prepared
ourselves, we will walk in the same anointing that Jesus Christ did
during His ministry. We will preach the Gospel with conviction and
gather many souls in the end-time harvest. The fate of all mankind will
be forever changed.
No man, woman or child in any nation of
the world will perish for lack of knowledge. We will share God’s Word
with them and offer them the gift of eternal life through salvation in
Jesus Christ. We will baptize countless numbers, so that they can enter
into the Kingdom of God and inherit all of its many blessings. The will
of the Lord for His children will finally be implemented to total
perfection.
Isaiah 42:9
“Behold, the former things are come to pass, and new things do I
declare: before they spring forth I tell you of them.”
God’s Word reveals that we are His sons
and daughters who will work many miracles, signs and wonders in His
mighty name. If our faith is strong and we believe what the Lord tells
us, we will lay hands on the sick and they will recover. We will cast
out all demons that hold men in bondage to sin and evil, and even raise
the dead back to life once again, as Jesus Christ Himself did.
We will speak the convicting words of God
to all world governments and challenge them to adhere to principles of
fairness and justice for their people. We will eliminate all wars,
conflict and injustice off the face of the earth and restore peace,
order and stability to all of mankind. We will establish God’s Word
concerning finances and abolish all poverty and lack in this world.
All of creation will respond to our
faith-based words and decrees that line up with the Word of God
Himself. There will be no more natural disasters that claim human lives
and destroy the earth. The climate will be regulated and all pollution
will be a thing of the past. We will command plants and animals to
dwell in harmony and be subject to our dominion as they once were.
The entire planet will be refurbished and
renewed to prepare for the Kingdom of God to be ushered in. There will
be no more disease and death, no violence and bloodshed, no strife and
conflict, nor devastation and destruction anywhere. The Lord’s plan for
mankind must be implemented according to His promises to us. The spoken
Word will revolutionize the face of the entire earth.
We will receive generous rewards for our
faithful service to the Lord. The Word of God says that we will be
appointed kings and priests of God and have the heathen and the
uttermost parts of the earth for our inheritance. We will share in
Christ’s very own honor and glory and judge both men and angels. One
day in the near future, we will rule and reign with Him over all the
nations.
Conviction and Correction
Matthew 22:29
“Jesus answered and said unto them, Ye do err, not knowing the
scriptures, nor the power of God.”
Jesus Christ may have been God in every
respect, but when He came to this world He laid down all of His deity
and became one of us. He lacked wisdom and understanding as a mere man,
and He had to do what He expects of all of us, as well. He applied
Himself to study the Scriptures and acquire the revelation knowledge
that He needed to optimally serve His heavenly Father.
Before Jesus entered into His public
ministry, He spent many hours studying God’s Law in the temple and was
in constant prayer and communication with almighty God Himself for added
insight. It was not until He was baptized by John in the River Jordan,
that He received the gift of the Holy Spirit. Only then was He
empowered for service to others and effective in all that He did.
Christ always encouraged His followers to
study the Scriptures. He chastised them for their lack of discipline
and challenged them to build their faith in God’s written Word. He
supplemented their learning with His own words to them, but His teaching
was never meant to replace their thorough understanding of the written
Word of God according to the Old Testament prophets.
John 17:8 “For I have given unto them the words which thou gavest me;
and they have received [them], and have known surely that I came out
from thee, and they have believed that thou didst send me.”
Our Lord and Savior knew that there is
power in the Word of God to save men’s souls, no matter what form it
takes – the written or spoken words. He encouraged men to hear from God
any way that they could, so that they would never be without guidance
and direction in their lives. Jesus knew He would not be with them
forever, and He did not want His followers to rely solely on Him and His
preaching.
Jesus Christ is the same yesterday, today
and always. He is the living Word of almighty God. He could discern
the very thoughts of men and the intent of their hearts. Nothing was
hidden from Him. Everything He taught during His time with us was meant
to make us think and examine our consciences. He did not come to
condemn us, but He certainly was effective in convicting men of their
sinfulness.
The Lord did not minister with flattering
words that men so often use to persuade others to their way of
thinking. He was straight forward and to the point, and almost blunt at
times. Our redemption was of the utmost importance to Him and He picked
His words carefully. He never spoke anything of Himself, but waited
obediently until He heard from the Father before sharing God’s Word with
others.
Jesus often spoke in parables, so that
real-life lessons could be drawn from His teaching. It also prevented
His doubting and argumentative listeners from contaminating the pure
Word of God to their own selfish advantage. Those who were of God heard
and comprehended His words, but those who were committed to evil of any
kind lacked sufficient understanding to challenge Him and disturb His
teaching.
2Timothy 3:16
“All scripture [is] given by inspiration of God, and [is] profitable for
doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in
righteousness:”
True wisdom only comes with conviction
and correction. We must be made aware of our own sinful nature, before
we can take steps towards redemption. The deep, abiding love of God
conveyed in His Word causes us to repent of all our sins and accept His
offer of forgiveness with all the blessings of eternal life that come
with it. If we search for the truth, we will always be able to discover
it.
Christ is the living Word of almighty God
Himself. If we repent and accept Him as our Lord and Savior, our lives
are forever changed. We should embrace all of His teaching and live
according to His guidance and direction, so that our righteousness is
never in question. We are saved by faith that is received through
reading or hearing the Word of God, which has the power to save us from
all of our sins.
Both the Old and New Testaments are
worthwhile for study and instruction. They are historically accurate
accounts of the history of the human race, and loaded with wisdom and
revelation for us that is relevant to our lives today. God’s Word is
divinely inspired and recorded, so that we can develop a clear and
concise understanding of what He wishes to do for mankind and what He
expects of us in return.
We are a covenant people and the Word of
God tells us all that we need to know to remain in right standing with
almighty God. It clearly specifies that we must follow all of the
commandments and walk in love for God and for others at all times. If
we are diligent to obey the Lord and willing to serve Him and His
people, we will one day receive eternal blessings and generous rewards
for all our efforts.
A Testament To Salvation
Galatians 3:22
“But the scripture hath concluded all under sin, that the promise by
faith of Jesus Christ might be given to them that believe.”
The primary function of the written Word
of God is for the salvation of all mankind and our spiritual
perfection. It is a testament to our redemption in Jesus Christ, God’s
only beloved Son. We must repent of all carnality and selfish, soul
desires and accept Christ as our Lord and Savior. We should confess Him
before God and man and be baptized in His name, so that we can be
forgiven of all of our sinfulness.
We must believe every word in the
Scriptures. Christ was God in all respects, but He took on human form,
so that He could be one of us. He served as our substitute in suffering
and death, and then rose again from the dead. Because of His perfect
obedience on our behalf, our sin debt was paid in full. We are no
longer subject to death as a penalty for our sin; we will live forever
in His presence in the Kingdom of God.
Every man, woman and child that believes
in Christ is saved to eternal life. The Bible tells us that none of us
are righteous on our own, but through our faith in Jesus, we are
redeemed. Very soon now, Christ will return to us and make our
redemption complete. The dead will all be raised to life again, and we
who remain will receive glorious, resurrection bodies that are totally
impervious to disease, decay and death.
John 5:39
“Search the scriptures; for in them ye think ye have eternal life: and
they are they which testify of me.”
Jesus Christ is the living Word of
almighty God Himself. He was present at the creation, and by Him all
things were made, including man. Christ initially spoke powerful words
that generated light and life, and He continued doing that during His
ministry on this earth. He did not come to condemn mankind, but to save
us to eternal life and teach us God’s way of thinking and doing things.
Our Lord and Savior was actually God made
man, so that He could accept the responsibility of all human
transgression for us. He was perfect and sinless, but He became sin and
took on its curse, so that we could be set free. Jesus was in constant
communication with the Father and only spoke and did what He was
instructed to do. He was totally cooperative and obedient even unto
death.
He also gave us instruction in
righteousness and godliness, so that we could be like Him in every way.
He taught us to obey all of the commandments and to love God and one
another at all times. He encouraged us to build our faith and speak the
Word of God in all of its power. He also sent us the Holy Spirit, so
that we could be sanctified, strengthened and equipped to serve Him and
His people.
James 1:21 “Wherefore lay apart all filthiness and superfluity of
naughtiness, and receive with meekness the engrafted word, which is able
to save your souls.”
We are to imitate the laid down life of
Jesus Christ and crucify all of our fleshly desires and selfish soul
ambitions, so that we can walk in our divine destinies as fully mature
sons and daughters of almighty God. We have eternal callings as kings
and priests. Our lives are no longer our own. We should present our
bodies as living sacrifices to God in humble service to Him and His
people.
The fate of all mankind lies in the
balance. There are many who are steeped in darkness and deception,
committed to wickedness and evil. We must confront them with their sin
and offer them hope for their future. The Lord wants all of mankind to
be saved, so that we can dwell in His presence for all eternity. We
must persuade others in the truth and preach the Gospel in all its
power.
The good news of Jesus Christ and His
Kingdom has to be shared with the entire human race. In the days ahead,
we will speak the Word of God to every race, tongue and nation of the
world. It is not the Lord’s will that anyone perish for lack of
knowledge. We will demonstrate our faith to every man, woman and
child. Many souls will be saved to eternal life and be baptized in
Jesus’ name.
1Peter 1:25
“But the word of the Lord endureth for ever. And this is the word which
by the gospel is preached unto you.”
Everyone whose name is written in the
Lamb’s Book of Life will be gathered into the everlasting Kingdom of
God. The Lord desires that all of mankind be redeemed, but some will
still be stubborn and rebellious and continue to do evil. They will
refuse the Gospel message and be excluded from Christ’s Kingdom. Their
fate is to be punished in the eternal lake of fire with all wrongdoers.
Only those who believe in Christ, walk in
love for God and others, and follow all of the commandments will dwell
in the Lord’s awesome presence. There will be a zero tolerance for sin
and rebellion in any form. Nothing will ever contaminate the Lord and
His people. Jesus will soon return to judge all mankind and exclude
those from His Kingdom who are unrepentant or disobedient.
The Word of God is specific. Christ will
destroy all the ungodly in the wrath of His coming and banish Satan and
all his minions to the bottomless pit. No evil will ever enter into the
Kingdom of God. Jesus will rule and reign as a righteous King with a
rod of iron. He will protect His people from all harm and enforce godly
principles of righteousness, fairness and justice on this earth.
1Corinthians
15:1-2 “Moreover, brethren, I declare unto you the gospel which I
preached unto you, which also ye have received, and wherein ye stand; By
which also ye are saved, if ye keep in memory what I preached unto you,
unless ye have believed in vain.”
The Gospel has the power to save men from
their sins and instruct them in total righteousness and godliness. It
should never be compromised or watered down in any way. The fate of all
mankind depends upon our willingness and obedience to share the message
of salvation in its pure form. We cannot ever minimize the conviction
that men feel when they hear the Word.
We must all repent from the heart for our
sinfulness and accept Jesus Christ as our Lord and Savior, if we wish to
receive eternal life. We should confess Him before God and man, and be
baptized in His name as an outward sign of the inward change that has
taken place in us. We become brand new creatures in Christ; the old man
dies to self; and the new man is perfected before God.
Our minds are renewed in the truth and
our behavior is transformed until we become godly. If we ask for the
baptism in the Holy Spirit, we will be strengthened and empowered as
never before. We will develop characteristics and attributes of
almighty God Himself and become Christ-like in all we think, say and
do. We will embrace our divine destinies and serve the Lord with zeal.
We are the Body of Christ on this earth.
He has gone to be with His Father, but we are to pick up His ministry
where He left off. We will demonstrate the love, mercy and compassion
of God to all of mankind. We will preach the Gospel of Jesus Christ
with power and save many souls to eternal life. We will heal the sick,
cast out devils and even raise the dead back to life once again.
Sanctification Through The Word
Acts 20:32 “And
now, brethren, I commend you to God, and to the word of his grace, which
is able to build you up, and to give you an inheritance among all them
which are sanctified.”
If
we believe in the Lord, Jesus Christ, and all that He did for us we are
redeemed from all of our past, present and future sin. We are saved by
grace, the unmerited favor of God Himself. However, we can never use
that as an excuse for deliberate rebellion. Sin is sin, and it requires
payback. If we disobey the Word of God and violate His laws, we will be
held accountable.
We
should sanctify ourselves of all carnality and selfishness of the soul,
and strive for holiness and perfection in our spiritual walk. If we do
make mistakes and fall short of God’s glory, we can always repent from
the heart and be forgiven. The Lord is faithful to restore us to right
standing with Him once again. As we mature spiritually, sin’s power
over us dwindles.
If
we ask for the baptism in the Holy Spirit and apply ourselves to
studying God’s Word, we will be strengthened in our spirit man, so that
evil no longer holds us in bondage. Spiritual fruit, which are like the
attributes of God Himself, will eventually grow and develop in us, so we
are perfected. If we walk in love and keep all the commandments, our
righteousness will be secure.
Proverbs 3:1-2
“My son, forget not my law; but let thine heart keep my commandments:
For length of days, and long life, and peace, shall they add to thee.”
The Lord gave man the Ten Commandments,
so that there would be peace, order and stability in all of our lives.
They outline His expectations for us according to His own, perfect and
impeccable standards. His intent was that we would grow and develop
spiritually until we reach total maturity in our relationships with Him
and with one another. The Word is most specific; we must adhere to all
of God’s laws.
We cannot violate any of the Lord’s moral
absolutes without dire consequences to ourselves and others. Deliberate
disobedience puts us back under the curse of the law and makes the
sacrifice of Christ to no avail. The law requires death as a penalty
for our sins. We put our righteousness in jeopardy and subject
ourselves to stringent judgment and eternal condemnation, if we
purposely ignore the Word of God.
It is powerful for changing our lives as
nothing else can. We are without excuse if we continue to think, say
and do what we did before we were saved. We are crucified with Christ;
the old man is dead. We dare not look back or be utterly destroyed. If
we wish to enjoy eternal life and all of its many blessings, we must
obey God’s Word in its entirety. We will ultimately overcome all
temptation to sin and evil.
Mark 12:30-31
“And thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all
thy soul, and with all thy mind, and with all thy strength: this [is]
the first commandment. And the second [is] like, [namely] this, Thou
shalt love thy neighbour as thyself. There is none other commandment
greater than these.”
Christ came to fulfill the law, not to
replace or negate it. He summed up all the commandments into two major
categories – love of God and neighbor. He taught us that we must love
almighty God with all our heart, soul, mind and strength, and love
others as we love ourselves. If we give the Lord all the deference,
respect and affection that He deserves, we will obey all of His
commandments and work at building a close, personal relationship with
Him that comes only from prayer, meditation and study of His Word.
Love of others in not an option either.
If we treat men as we wish to be treated, there will be no strife or
division in any of our relationships. We must put others’ needs on an
equal plane with our own and overcome our tendency towards selfishness.
We must purposely choose to overlook all offense. We have to forgive
others, as God forgives us. We should dwell in peace with all men
wherever possible, and treat them with fairness, dignity and respect.
We fulfill the entire law if we walk in love for God and others.
The Word of God teaches us how to be
loving and obedient. There are numerous examples of how men have
behaved and what the consequences were. The history of the entire human
race is chronicled, so that we can avoid others’ mistakes and be totally
successful in all that we do. If we are diligent to study the Word and
apply it to our own lives, we will be able to overcome the world, our
flesh and the devil. We will voluntarily embrace our divine destinies
and serve the Lord and His people with zeal and enthusiasm.
1Thessalonians
2:13 “For this cause also thank we God without ceasing, because, when ye
received the word of God which ye heard of us, ye received [it] not [as]
the word of men, but as it is in truth, the word of God, which
effectually worketh also in you that believe.”
God’s Word will revolutionize our lives
and improve all of our relationships – both with Him and with others.
If we are diligent to study it and apply its principles, we will see our
minds renewed and our behavior totally transformed right before our
eyes. We will grow in godliness and develop spiritual maturity. The
Lord will be able to reveal our divine destinies to us, so that we serve
Him as we should.
We will grow in faith and share the
Gospel of Jesus Christ, as the Lord arranges our contacts. We will
rescue men, women and children from darkness and deception, so they can
be saved to eternal life. If we are totally sanctified in the truth, we
will receive divine power and authority to work miracles, signs and
wonders in Jesus’ name. Nothing will be impossible to us if we truly
know and obey the Word of God.
Mature believers will demonstrate the
love, mercy and compassion of God Himself to His people. We will
fulfill Christ’s divine commission to us. We will heal the sick of all
their afflictions. The blind will see; the deaf will hear; and the lame
will walk. We will cast out demons that keep men in bondage to their
sins. We will even raise the dead back to life again, so that they can
enter into the Kingdom of God with us.
We will change the fate of the entire
earth by speaking and decreeing the Word of God in all of its power and
authority. We will eliminate all wars, violence and conflict in our
human relations. We will declare peace, love and unity to all of
mankind. There will be no more poverty and lack; we will establish
godly principles of fairness and justice. We will speak to nature and
restore it to its original beauty and balance.
Nothing will be impossible to the sons
and daughters of almighty God in the critical days that lie ahead. If
we have diligently studied the Word of God and speak only what He tells
us, we will positively impact all of creation. We will destroy all
demonic strongholds and take back our dominion over all matters on this
earth. The Lord will be pleased with all of our efforts and usher us
into the everlasting Kingdom of God.
Wisdom And Instruction
James 1:5 “If
any of you lack wisdom, let him ask of God, that giveth to all [men]
liberally, and upbraideth not; and it shall be given him.”
Our heavenly Father is not a selfish God;
He shares all that He is and all that He has with His beloved children.
If any of us lack knowledge, we should ask the Lord for wisdom and
revelation that comes straight from Him. The written Word of God is
teeming with divine inspiration that will simplify our lives. The
psalms and proverbs are loaded with guidance and instruction for our
express benefit.
All that we need to do is open up our
Bibles and read what God has to say on any given subject. If we apply
what we learn to our situations and circumstances, we will be amazed at
how easily even our most complex problems are solved. The Lord has
supernatural insight to share with us that is only found in His Word.
He gives us increased knowledge and understanding, so we can succeed in
all we do.
The Scriptures are there for us at any
time to edify and inspire us. Detailed stories of other men’s victories
and defeats encourage us to be strong in our faith and trust God for a
positive outcome to all of our struggles in this world. We can and will
overcome all adversity if we seek God’s direction. He will never leave
us or forsake us. His Word is amazing, more powerful than any of our
earthly wisdom.
If we are fortunate enough to acquire
divine insight from our study of the Word, we will be able to overcome
all of our personal difficulties and prevail in all that we think, say
and do. We will be successful in this world and in the Kingdom to
come. Others will seek us out for the answers to their own dilemmas,
and we will be in a perfect position to refer them direct to the Word of
almighty God Himself.
1Corinthians
2:6-7 “Howbeit we speak wisdom among them that are perfect: yet not the
wisdom of this world, nor of the princes of this world, that come to
nought: But we speak the wisdom of God in a mystery, [even] the hidden
[wisdom], which God ordained before the world unto our glory:”
The wisdom of this world is a mere sham,
compared to the wisdom of God. Our inherent intelligence and earthly
talents are no match for what our heavenly Father can convey to us in
His Word. We can discern spiritual mysteries through the power of His
Holy Spirit and be enlightened in practical matters, as well. God’s
Word will never leave us ashamed or empty-handed.
If we pray and seek His advice, He will
gladly share wisdom and revelation knowledge with His people. He has
given gifts to men through the Holy Spirit that will benefit all of us.
Some believers receive words of wisdom and words of knowledge to share
with others. The gift of prophecy is powerful for providing us with
added insight, and it clarifies our eternal destinies to us.
The Lord will never keep us in the dark
concerning our present circumstances or our future well-being. He will
reveal all that we need to know to overcome our enemies and be totally
victorious in this world and in the Kingdom to come. Our God rejoices
in the fact that His children want to know more about Him and walk in
His ways; He will always give us what we ask of Him.
It is definitely possible for the sons
and daughters of almighty God to mature and grow spiritually, until they
reach the full stature of Jesus Christ. He was the firstborn of many
brethren that will walk in genuine divine power and authority in the
days to come. The only way that we will ever realize our full potential
is by studying the Word of God and applying it to our situations.
If we are diligent to do all that the
Lord requires of us, continually walk in love and be obedient, we will
change the fate of the entire world. Nothing will be impossible to us
in the critical days that lie ahead. We will win many souls to the Lord
and work miracles, signs and wonders in His name. We will confront all
the wickedness and evil that we see, and overcome it with good.
Proverbs 1:2-7
“To know wisdom and instruction; to perceive the words of understanding;
To receive the instruction of wisdom, justice, and judgment, and equity;
To give subtilty to the simple, to the young man knowledge and
discretion. A wise [man] will hear, and will increase learning; and a
man of understanding shall attain unto wise counsels: To understand a
proverb, and the interpretation; the words of the wise, and their dark
sayings. The fear of the LORD [is] the beginning of knowledge: [but]
fools despise wisdom and instruction.”
Almighty God takes particular delight in
abasing the proud and arrogant among us, and glorifies those who are
pure, humble, sincere and contrite of heart. He will always use the
simple and foolish things of this world to confound those who are wise
in their own eyes. He deplores all worldly wisdom that promotes
self-reliance and encourages misplaced values in His people. He wants
us to depend on Him alone, so we are always successful in both spiritual
and temporal matters.
We should have a reverent fear of the
Lord, that motivates us to treat Him with the deference and respect He
deserves at all times. His Word is designed to keep us on the straight
and narrow path that leads to genuine holiness. All of His commandments
are beneficial to us. If we adhere to His Word, we will succeed in all
that we do without compromising our right standing with Him. We can
overcome the world, our flesh and the devil if we seek God’s ways over
our own.
If we humble ourselves under the mighty
hand of God, He will exalt us in due season. We must be diligent to
study His Word and meditate on all of its precepts, so that we can be
all that we were intended to be from the foundation of the world. We
never stop learning; the Lord is our source for infinite wisdom and
revelation knowledge and He will never deny us what we need. He wants
to equip us as mature sons and daughters, so that we can optimally serve
Him and His people.
The Word Of God And Faith
Hebrews 11:6
“But without faith [it is] impossible to please [him]: for he that
cometh to God must believe that he is, and [that] he is a rewarder of
them that diligently seek him.”
Almighty God wants us to believe in Him
and all of His promises to us. He will never leave us or forsake us.
He wants us to rely on Him for all that we need, both spiritual and
temporal. We cannot please Him without a sincere faith that is derived
from knowing His Word. All the vast resources of the universe are at
our disposal. All that we must do is ask the Lord for what we require
and He will meet all of our needs.
The Lord is truly extravagant when it
comes to blessing His children. He does far more for us than we could
ever ask or think. He supplies all that we require in abundance, and
never leaves us ashamed or empty-handed. We can rely on the Word of God
to show us exactly what we have inherited for our righteousness. We
will discover that there is no good thing that our heavenly Father
withholds from us.
Our God will answer each and every
prayer. He delights that we depend on Him for all that we require to be
successful in our lives. We should always ask Him for exactly what we
need, and be confident that He is willing and able to provide it.
Whether it is wisdom to solve our problems, strength and courage to
overcome obstacles, help with relationships, or good health and
prosperity that we want, we can trust God.
The Lord always confirms what He tells
us. His Word is His bond to mankind that we can totally believe and
rely on. We have an eternal covenant with almighty God that is based on
His personal oath. He will meet all of our needs, sometimes even before
we ask Him. He is never stingy with His people; He has all the vast
resources of the universe at His disposal and He is extravagant when it
comes to providing for us.
Romans 10:17
“So then faith [cometh] by hearing, and hearing by the word of God.”
The more we know, hear and study God’s
Word, the stronger our faith becomes. We will discover the Lord’s deep,
abiding love for us, and His heart’s intent to nurture and provide for
His children. Our faith can literally move mountains. Nothing will be
impossible to us if we believe. We can always have hope and confidence
for our present and for our future. God is actively involved in all the
details of our lives.
By faith, the Lord created the entire
universe. He simply spoke powerful words that generated life and light
to His surroundings. Our faith-based words that line up with God’s very
own will radically change all of our situations and circumstances, as
well. We were created in God’s image and likeness. The words that we
speak have genuine power and divine authority to create or destroy,
depending upon what we say.
We can never be careless or frivolous in
our speech. Christ said they we will be held accountable for every idle
word. We are either justified or condemned by the words of our own
mouth. We must speak positive, faith-based words to see beneficial
results manifest in our environment. If we decree and declare exactly
what God says about our personal circumstances, we will see miracles
appear right before our very eyes.
Nothing will be impossible to us in the
critical days to come before Jesus Christ returns to us. The Lord will
imbue us with extraordinary talents and capabilities that will help us
to change the fate of the entire earth. We will step into our eternal
callings and operate in the power of His very own Holy Spirit in all
that we think, say and do. Our God will be able to move in us and
through us to meet the needs of His people.
John 1:12 “But
as many as received him, to them gave he power to become the sons of
God, [even] to them that believe on his name:”
The Word of God tells us that we have
divine destinies to fulfill as God’s very own sons and daughters. We
must take back the earth and everything in it for the Kingdom of
almighty God. If our faith is strong, we will be able to walk in the
very same power and authority that Jesus Christ did and revolutionize
the entire world. The Lord has revealed what He expects of us.
We have to repent and renounce our sin
for all time. We must believe in His Son, Jesus Christ, and accept Him
as our personal Lord and Savior. We must be sanctified in the truth and
crucify our flesh and all of its carnality. We must additionally put
the Lord first in all things, and forego our own selfish soul
ambitions. We have to present ourselves as living sacrifices to the
Lord.
It is critical that we know who we are in
Christ, and what is expected of us. He needs our help completing His
ministry on the earth. We are the Body of Christ Himself – His hands,
feet and voice. We have to reach all of mankind with the Gospel
message, so that no one perishes for lack of knowledge in the truth. We
will also work miracles, signs and wonders in Jesus’ name.
We will lay hands on the sick and they
will recover from all of their afflictions. The blind will see; the
deaf will hear; and the lame will walk through our efforts. We will
cast out demons that keep men in bondage to sin and evil. We will even
raise the dead back to life once again and put all of Christ’s enemies
under His feet. Nothing will be impossible to us if we have faith in
God.
Hebrews 6:10-12
“For God [is] not unrighteous to forget your work and labour of love,
which ye have shewed toward his name, in that ye have ministered to the
saints, and do minister. And we desire that every one of you do shew the
same diligence to the full assurance of hope unto the end: That ye be
not slothful, but followers of them who through faith and patience
inherit the promises.”
We must receive God’s promises to us by
faith, and rest assured that He will indeed make good on every one of
them. We are a covenant people and the Lord desires to bless us with
all the vast resources of the universe. He wants us to share this good
news with every man, woman and child that we meet. The Kingdom of God
is our eternal legacy for righteousness, but it can only be entered by
those who are pure in heart and faithful to do what the Word of God
requires.
The Bible is most specific. We must
repent of all our sins and renounce them for all time. We must believe
in Jesus Christ, and accept Him as our Lord and Savior; walk in
uncompromised love; and be obedient to all the commandments. We have to
be sanctified in the truth and diligently seek God’s will for us. We
will receive the free gift of eternal life and all of its many
benefits.
The Lord will soon return to gather us to
Himself, and provide all that we need to be happy, healthy and content.
We will live forever in His very presence in the Kingdom of God. Our
bodies will be changed into glorious, resurrection forms that are
impervious to disease and death. We will receive blessings of peace and
prosperity, safety and security, joy and freedom for all of eternity.
There is no good thing that the Lord will ever withhold from His beloved
children.
If we have served the Lord and His people
faithfully, we will also receive generous rewards. We will share in
Christ’s very own honor and glory and judge both men and angels. We
will be appointed kings and priests of God and receive the heathen for
our inheritance in the uttermost parts of the earth. We will teach men
to dwell in love, peace and unity and rule and reign with Christ
Himself.
The Immutability Of The Word of God
1 Peter 1:25
“But the word of the Lord endureth for ever. And this is the word which
by the gospel is preached unto you.”
The Word of God should be our final
authority in all matters, both spiritual and temporal. Our Creator is
omniscient and omnipotent – all knowing and all powerful. His Word
abides forever and is infallible and immutable. It never returns to Him
void; it always succeeds in whatever it was sent to do. We can depend
on God’s words to settle all of our disputes, and to provide us with all
that we need to prosper and succeed in this world and in the everlasting
Kingdom to come.
The message of salvation has the power to
save us from all of our sins and prevent death as the penalty for them.
The Lord’s wisdom provides instruction that is valuable for solving all
of our problems beyond all our expectations. The inspiration we glean
from the Word of God will enable us to achieve anything that our minds
can conceive. The prophetic words we receive will dispel all darkness
and deception, so that we have the insight we need to be successful in
all we do.
We can totally rely on almighty God to
back up His Word with genuine power and authority. What He promises us
will always come to pass. He will never leave us ashamed or
empty-handed if we make claims on His Word. It stands forever as a
written guarantee that He will enforce in its entirety. The Word of God
meets all challenges for credibility and is completely verifiable. It
confirms itself time after time, with multiple references to the
important topics that it covers.
2Peter 1:20
“Knowing this first, that no prophecy of the scripture is of any private
interpretation.”
God never changes – He is the same,
yesterday, today and tomorrow. His Word is like Him in every way. It
is constant, reliable and immutable in all respects. We dare not doubt
the Lord or try to contaminate anything He tells us. There is genuine
power in what He says, and He will follow through to make certain what
He has spoken does indeed come to pass.
We must be very careful what we interpret
from the Holy Scriptures. They stand alone as God’s final authority in
all matters. We cannot twist or distort the Word to fit our own selfish
purposes. It is not for private interpretation, nor subject to
discussion and debate. What God says in His infinite wisdom will
prevail at all times, regardless of what we think.
The Word of God has stood the test of
time and proven itself to be infallible. It may have been written and
recorded by mere men, but they operated in divine authority, with
inspiration received through the power of His Holy Spirit. We cannot
add to or subtract from it without running the risk of severe
punishment. The Word of God is completely sacred and inviolable.
Ezekiel 12:28
“Therefore say unto them, Thus saith the Lord GOD; There shall none of
my words be prolonged any more, but the word which I have spoken shall
be done, saith the Lord GOD.”
God’s Word is His express will for all of
mankind. It is His eternal gift to us, so that we can be saved,
perfected, blessed and rewarded for our loyal service. The Lord has
promised us that He will always be there for us, until the end of time
as we know it, and even beyond that in the everlasting Kingdom of God.
Very soon now, He will usher heaven itself into the earth realm, so that
we can be with Him for all eternity.
Everything that He has promised us will
indeed come to pass. We will see His Word manifested for all of the
world to see. His sons and daughters will show themselves strong in
God’s power and authority and change the face of the entire earth by
speaking and decreeing the Word of almighty God. We will bind all of
Satan’s operations and cancel his demonic assignments that have come
against God’s people in any way.
Nothing will remain the same. There will
be no more war or conflict, death and destruction; we will enforce
Kingdom principles of peace, fairness and justice on this earth in the
government of God. All of creation will be impacted. We will speak
words of life to plants, animals and the climate. There will be no more
predatory activities or devastating natural catastrophes that threaten
or harm any of God’s creatures.
The entire planet will eventually be
cleansed, purified, renewed and refurbished to prepare it for the
Kingdom of God. Christ will soon return to destroy all evil and gather
us to Himself forever. We will dwell in the actual presence of God and
thrive in every area of our lives. He will lavish all of the vast
resources of the universe on His children, and meet all of our needs in
abundance even before we ask Him.
The Kingdom of God will be the
consummation of the Lord’s eternal redemption plan for all of mankind.
We will live in a world without end that has lined up with the perfect
Word and will of almighty God Himself. There will be only peace and
prosperity, safety and security, health and longevity, joy and freedom
for all of God’s people forever more. It will be a true paradise on the
earth for both God and man.
