SURRENDER

THE PATH

Psalms 62:1
Truly my soul waiteth upon God: from him cometh my salvation. |
I trust you're
taking one step each day which is vital to your success.
Your patience in waiting does not go unnoticed by your Father.
I join you again today with much enthusiasm because
this STEPPING STONE is really something to be excited about. Today
we’re going to talk about the Holy Spirit. You noticed that the title
of this step is SURRENDER, and you might be thinking that all we are
talking about is surrendering your problem. But that’s not
all.
We’re also talking about surrendering your life to
the Holy Spirit, the Comforter that Jesus left us to help us with all
of our problems.
What does it mean to be
FILLED WITH THE HOLY SPIRIT ?
It means this:
To voluntarily SURRENDER your life to the
control of the Holy Spirit who lives in you.

1 Corinthians 6:19
What? know ye not that your body is the temple of the Holy Ghost
which is in you, which ye have of God, and ye are not your own? |
He is the provider of the TRUTH that we’ve
talked about in every step of THE PATH.
HE is the SPIRIT OF TRUTH
|
John 14:16-18
And I will pray the Father, and He shall give you another
Comforter, that He may abide with you for ever; Even the
Spirit of TRUTH;
whom the world cannot receive, because it seeth Him not, neither
knoweth Him: but ye know Him; for He dwelleth with you, and
shall be in you. I will not leave you comfortless: I will come
to you. |

But the Comforter, which is the Holy Ghost, whom the Father will
send in my name, He shall teach you all things, and bring all
things to your remembrance, whatsoever I have said unto you. |

But when the Comforter is come, whom I will send unto you from
the Father, even the
Spirit of TRUTH, which
proceedeth from the Father, He shall testify of me ... |

Nevertheless I tell you the TRUTH; It is expedient for you that
I go away: for if I go not away, the Comforter will not come
unto you; but if I depart, I will send Him unto you. And when He
is come, He will reprove the world of sin, and of righteousness,

Howbeit when He, the
Spirit of TRUTH, is come,
He will guide you into all TRUTH: for He shall not speak of
Himself; but whatsoever He shall hear, that shall He speak: and

that the Father hath are mine: therefore said I, that He shall
take of mine, and shall shew it unto you. |
We need the reality
of God to actually be in our lives.
The HOLY SPIRIT is a real person. He was sent to be with you forever.
The HOLY SPIRIT is
real entity, not some cool ideology or peaceful bed time story. He can
speak and has a rather unique personality. He wants to be your friend.
HE IS GOD'S SPIRIT ...
Never forget Jesus or
God, but you cannot be in touch with them without the HOLY SPIRIT.

God is a Spirit:
and they that worship him
must worship him in spirit
and in truth. |
Seek the voice of the
HOLY SPIRIT in your soul.
He WILL speak to you IF you LISTEN

Hebrews
3:7
Wherefore (as the Holy Ghost saith, To day if ye will hear his
voice, |
AND EVEN TELL YOU
EXACTLY WHAT TO DO AND SAY WHEN CONFRONTED WITH PROBS.

ought to say. |
The HOLY SPIRIT talks
with our own spirit and reveals to God what is in or heart.

Romans 8:26-27
Likewise the Spirit also helpeth our infirmities: for we know
not what we should pray for as we ought: but the Spirit itself
maketh intercession for us with groanings which cannot be
uttered. And He that searcheth the hearts knoweth what is the
mind of the Spirit, because
He maketh intercession for the
Saints according to the
will of God. |
AS THE SPIRIT OF MAN
IS A CANDLE OF THE LORD ...

The spirit of man is the candle of the LORD, searching all the
inward parts of the belly. |
The HOLY SPIRIT knows
your deepest and darkest secrets.
PRAY WITH THE HOLY SPIRIT

Romans 8:26-27

When you pray ... Pray to God through Jesus, by the HOLY
SPIRIT.
He is the BEST prayer partner
there is.
Get to know the HOLY
SPIRIT better. He is right there with you. NEVER IGNORE THE HOLY
SPIRIT. The HOLY SPIRIT gives
out an incredible sensation that feels like electric running down your
spine.
You will know it
when you feel it.
When the HOLY SPIRIT
comes, He WILL answer your questions but ya gotta ASK.
You may begin to feel
unworthy and may even begin to cry but that is cuz you know He can see
inside of you.
But always remember
... His GRACE.
The HOLY SPIRIT will
become PRESENT in your life.
Invite the Holy
Spirit to read the Bible with you and explain to you the things you
don't understand. You'll find wisdom like you never found before in
your Bible when the Holy Spirit is your reading partner. The Holy
Spirit is from God and was given to us to teach us of God.
Become excited to study
and pray with the HOLY SPIRIT. When you leave your study place, ask
the HOLY SPIRIT to join you as you go about your regular routine, and
He will.
GET THE BAD WEEDS OUT
LIKE YOU HAVE LEARNED ALONG THIS PATH
Then fill the void
with the Holy Spirit of TRUTH
Surrender yourself
wholly to the HOLY SPIRIT.
Many things happen
when the HOLY SPIRIT enters your life.
You will become a
changed person. Your actions and reactions will be decided by the
Spirit as will your instincts, as you become
RENEWED.
You get to know
His presence. You can feel when He is near.
The more you talk with Him, the deeper the relationship becomes just
as with any relationship.
But it IS a two way
street.
Now I realize you may
have checked out this study below, but I want you to check it out with
today's light of TRUTH and return when you are done ...
The Holy Spirit is right there with you ...
Do not quench the HOLY SPIRIT by ignoring or denying Him.
His feelings can be hurt. He is a SPIRIT, so
He is a bundle of Emotions.
Kinda like an innocent child.
When you hurt a child they are gone, but if you show
love to a child they never wanna leave. He wants to stay close to
those that love Him. When you leave, He leaves.
On this STEPPING STONE, I urge you to invite the
Holy Spirit to fill your life. Talk to Him with your heart … listen to
Him with your heart.
In your mind’s eye, get out a big white flag and
SURRENDER
Put the world aside and hang out with the HOLY SPIRIT!
Spend a few minutes a
day to just talk with Him.
You can include this
as one of your Miracle Grow activities if you like.

STEP ELEVEN
Get to know the Holy Spirit who is your
Comforter and a gift to Christian believers. Do NOT think this
is just "busy work" ... On the contrary it is an ESSENTIAL part
of healing and being able to do what comes after this program.
He is our COMFORTER and awaits YOU.
Remember ... When
you take antibiotics for an infection, you always feel better
before you finish the prescribed amount, but if you don’t take
all of the medication the infection comes back. Similarly, you
don’t want to take too much at one time either, so it’s time to
take a break and let this dose do it’s work. You’re about to
enter the home stretch of THE PATH. Each STEPPING STONE is just
as important as the last one, each contributing to a complete
recovery from your problem, and that’s what we’re aiming for.
MAKE SURE YOU KEEP UP WITH ALL
OF YOUR STEPS. WE DON'T WANT TO TURN AROUND TO FIND WEEDS
COVERING THEM AGAIN.
Continuing in EACH step daily
is so very important.
Go back over each step often to
be sure you have not missed anything.
