VISIONS AND DREAMS WERE GIVEN FROM THE LORD
FROM MANY SOULS FROM ABRAHAM IN THE BOOK OF GENESIS TO JOHN IN
THE BOOK OF REVELATION.
THESE DREAMS AND VISIONS WERE GIVEN TO GOD'S
PEOPLE OBVIOUSLY, BUT EVEN ENEMIES OF GOD RECEIVED THESE VISIONS.
As you will discover ...
The Bible reveals
that basically a VISION occurs while one was awake and a DREAM while they
were asleep.
HOWEVER ...
DREAMS are also called VISIONS of night in the Bible.

Job 4:13
In
thoughts from the
VISIONS
of the night, when deep sleep falleth on men. |
But, BOTH happened
when they were able to leave the worldly plain of existence and enter this
Spiritual realm as to be able to see and/or hear God's message.
Now, many
that do not receive VISIONS and DREAMS have chosen to suggest that God no
longer speaks to mankind in VISIONS and DREAMS.
HOWEVER
...
God has done so in the Old Testament, the New Testament and has vowed to
give VISIONS AND DREAMS to men and women ... EVEN NOW.

Acts 2:17-18
And it shall
come to pass in the last days, saith God, I will pour
out of my Spirit upon all flesh: and your sons and
your daughters shall prophesy, and your young men
shall see
VISIONS, and
your old men shall
DREAM DREAMS:
And on my servants and on my handmaidens I will pour
out in those days of my Spirit; and they shall
prophesy: |
Sooooooo, you choose whether to believe man
or GOD.
The first thing to figure out, when you have had
a VISION or DREAM, is the SOURCE.
Is it from GOD or YOU or ... Other.
Your subconscious mind, due to
a multitude of business (thought on a matter) can create DREAMS.
This is like when you were a child
(and even as an adult) and read a book or watch a scary movie or a movie or
book that MOVES your spirit and you put so much thought into it that it
brings forth DREAMS as your mind searches for answers.
This makes
being a Christian and having DREAMS and/or VISIONS kinda touchy and
difficult to discern cuz most Christians do a multitude of Christian
business, which may result in DREAMS from what they hear, feel and from
their reading, study and in particular when the do deep research.
Sooooooo,
if you have a DREAM after you did an intense study or read something that
really touched you ... It COULD be just your mind still working on the
matter while you sleep.
HOWEVER ...
Make NO mistake ... God DOES speak to us in DREAMS and VISIONS.

Job 33:14-17
For God
speaketh once, yea twice, yet man perceiveth it not.
In a DREAM,
in a VISION
of the night,
when deep sleep falleth upon men, in slumberings upon
the bed; Then he openeth the ears of men, and sealeth
their instruction, That he may withdraw man from his
purpose, and hide pride from man. |
GOD
TRIES TO REACH THOSE HE SEEKS TO TALK TO WHILE THEY ARE AWAKE, BUT THEY HEAR
NOT ... SO, HE COMES TO THEM IN DREAMS.
The Bible is filled with Scripture that
reveals that VISIONS AND DREAMS can an do come from God and we are to ACT on
these VISIONS AND DREAMS so we must determine if a VISION or DREAM was from
God or us.
DISCERNMENT is a MUST ...
Let me share ONE more lil tidbit, before we
begin our search for TRUTH ...
Some will share false VISIONS and
divinations not spoken by Lord.

Jeremiah 14:14
Then the
LORD said unto me, The prophets prophesy lies in my
name: I sent them not, neither have I commanded them,
neither spake unto them: they prophesy unto you a
false VISION
and divination, and a thing of nought, and the deceit
of their heart. |
Beware of VISIONS of your own
heart.

Jeremiah 23:16
Thus
saith the LORD of hosts, Hearken not unto the words of
the prophets that prophesy unto you: they make you
vain: they speak a
VISION
of their own heart, and not out of the mouth of the
LORD. |
Never claim to have had a DREAM if you did
not. Do not add or take away from it.
Let one that hath a DREAM tell that DREAM faithfully.

Jeremiah 23:25-28
I have
heard what the prophets said, that prophesy lies in my
name, saying, I have
DREAMED,
I have DREAMED.
How long shall this be in the heart of the prophets
that prophesy lies? yea, they are prophets of the
deceit of their own heart; Which think to cause my
people to forget my name by their
DREAMS
which they tell every man to his neighbour, as their
fathers have forgotten my name for Baal. The prophet
that hath a
DREAM, let him
tell a DREAM;
and he that hath my word, let him speak my word
faithfully. What is the chaff to the wheat? saith the
LORD. |
That being said ...
Let's take us a lil journey into the realm of
VISIONS and DREAMS.
The Word of God has been coming in VISIONS AND
DREAMS from
the beginning.

Genesis 15:1
After these things the Word of the LORD
came unto Abram in a
VISION,
saying, Fear not, Abram: I am thy shield, and thy
exceeding great reward. |
One of the most remembered DREAMS
in the Bible for most is Jacob DREAMED of angels climbing ladder up and down from heaven. God spoke to him of future events.

Genesis 28:12-17
And he
DREAMED,
and behold a ladder set up on the earth, and the top
of it reached to heaven: and behold the angels of God
ascending and descending on it. And, behold, the LORD
stood above it, and said, I am the LORD God of Abraham
thy father, and the God of Isaac: the land whereon
thou liest, to thee will I give it, and to thy seed;
And thy seed shall be as the dust of the earth, and
thou shalt spread abroad to the west, and to the east,
and to the north, and to the south: and in thee and in
thy seed shall all the families of the earth be
blessed. And, behold, I am with thee, and will keep
thee in all places whither thou goest, and will bring
thee again into this land; for I will not leave thee,
until I have done that which I have spoken to thee of.
And Jacob awaked
out of his sleep,
and he said, Surely the LORD is in this place; and I
knew it not. And he was afraid, and said, How dreadful
is this place! This is none other but the House of
God, and this is the gate of Heaven. |
This was an actual DREAM as he
AWOKE from SLEEP.
Note that Jacob believed that that
specific spot was a gateway to God.
God spoke to Jacob (Israel) in
VISIONS of the night.

Genesis
46:2
And God spake unto Israel in the
VISIONS
of the night,
and said, Jacob, Jacob. And he said, Here am I. |
If there is a Prophet among you, God will make Himself known to him in a
VISION.
|
Numbers 12:6
And he said,
Hear now my words: If there be a prophet among you, I
the LORD will make myself known unto him in a
VISION,
and will speak unto him in a
DREAM. |
Baalam
heard God's words which saw the VISION falling into trance with eyes open.
|
Numbers 24:4
He hath said, which
heard the words of God, which saw the
VISION of the Almighty, falling
into a trance, but having his eyes open: |
Obviously he was awake yet IN A
TRANCE.
This is the
Spiritual realm.
Peter
was praying and in a trance when VISION of sheet came.
|
Acts 11:5
I was in
the city of Joppa praying: and in a trance I
saw a VISION,
A certain vessel descend, as it had been a great
sheet, let down from heaven by four corners; and it
came even to me: |
This TRANCE like state is also where you are when you are in deep prayer.
While in prayer, a VISION may come
because you are in that Spiritual realm.

Daniel 9:21
Yea,
whiles I was speaking in prayer, even the man Gabriel,
whom I had seen in the
VISION
at the beginning, being caused to fly swiftly, touched
me about the time of the evening oblation. |
If you anger the Lord He will not
respond to you by DREAMS.
|
1Samuel 28:6
And when
Saul enquired of the LORD, the LORD answered him not,
neither by
DREAMS, nor by
Urim, nor by prophets. |
Job was terrified by VISIONS and
DREAMS during test.
|
Job 7:14
Then thou
scarest me with
DREAMS, and
terrifiest me through
VISIONS: |
As most of us know DREAMS can
bother us.
DREAMS form God can trouble your spirit too.

Daniel 2:1
And in
the second year of the reign of Nebuchadnezzar
Nebuchadnezzar
DREAMED DREAMS,
wherewith his spirit was troubled, and his
sleep brake from him. |
In VISIONS you can be taken
elsewhere.
|
Ezekiel 8:3
And he put forth
the form of an hand, and took me by a lock of mine
head; and the spirit lifted me up between the earth
and the heaven, and brought me in the
VISIONS
of God to Jerusalem, to the door of the inner gate
that looketh toward the north; where was the seat of
the image of jealousy, which provoketh to jealousy. |
The Spirit can take you other
places then VISION goes away.

Ezekiel 11:24-25
Afterwards the spirit took me up, and brought me in a
VISION
by the Spirit of God into Chaldea, to them of the
captivity. So the vision that I had seen went up from
me. |
VISIONS can be repeated - similar
to each other.
|
Ezekiel 43:3
And it
was according to the appearance of the
VISION
which I saw, even according to the
VISION
that I saw when I came to destroy the city: and the
VISIONS
were like the vision that I saw by the river Chebar;
and I fell upon my face. |
Some VISIONS are about things about
to occur and others are set for an
appointed time far off.

Daniel 10:1
In the
third year of Cyrus king of Persia a thing was
revealed unto Daniel, whose name was called
Belteshazzar; and the thing was true, but the time
appointed was long: and he understood the thing, and
had understanding of the
VISION. |
You may see a VISION and those around you
will not see it.

Daniel 10:7-8
And I
Daniel alone saw the
VISION:
for the men that were with me saw not the
VISION;
but a great quaking fell upon them, so that they fled
to hide themselves. Therefore I was left alone, and
saw this great
VISION, and
there remained no strength in me: for my comeliness
was turned in me into corruption, and I retained no
strength. |
Did you notice that the Vision
drained Daniel?
Expect this ...
Those close to you can be warned in
DREAMS to give you.

Matthew 27:19
When he
was set down on the judgment seat, his wife sent unto
him, saying, Have thou nothing to do with that just
man: for I have suffered many things this day in a
dream because of him. |
Doubt in own VISIONS can
cause bad to self.

Luke 1:11-22
And there
appeared unto him an angel of the Lord standing on the
right side of the altar of incense. And when Zacharias
saw him, he was troubled, and fear fell upon him. But
the angel said unto him, Fear not, Zacharias: for thy
prayer is heard; and thy wife Elisabeth shall bear
thee a son, and thou shalt call his name John. And
thou shalt have joy and gladness; and many shall
rejoice at his birth. For he shall be great in the
sight of the Lord, and shall drink neither wine nor
strong drink; and he shall be filled with the Holy
Ghost, even from his mother's womb. And many of the
children of Israel shall he turn to the Lord their
God. And he shall go before him in the spirit and
power of Elias, to turn the hearts of the fathers to
the children, and the disobedient to the wisdom of the
just; to make ready a people prepared for the Lord.
And Zacharias said unto the angel, Whereby shall I
know this? for I am an old man, and my wife well
stricken in years. And the angel answering said unto
him, I am Gabriel, that stand in the presence of God;
and am sent to speak unto thee, and to shew thee these
glad tidings. And, behold, thou shalt be dumb, and not
able to speak, until the day that these things shall
be performed, because thou believest not my words,
which shall be fulfilled in their season. And the
people waited for Zacharias, and marvelled that he
tarried so long in the temple. And when he came out,
he could not speak unto them: and they perceived that
he had seen a vision in the temple: for he beckoned
unto them, and remained speechless. |
VISIONS
to contact others can be given.
VISIONS came to Paul at night of
man's prayer to see him.

Acts 16:9
And a
VISION
appeared to Paul in the night; There stood a man of
Macedonia, and prayed him, saying, Come over into
Macedonia, and help us. |
Jesus can speak to you in a VISION
to uplift you
|
Acts 18:9
Then
spake the Lord to Paul in the night by a vision, Be
not afraid, but speak, and hold not thy peace: |
VISIONS can come from God by Jesus
by an angel to servant.

Revelation 1:1
The
Revelation of Jesus Christ, which God gave
unto Him, to shew unto His servants things which
must shortly come to pass; and He sent and
signified it by His angel unto His servant John: |
CONFIRM VISIONS AND DREAMS
If one
DREAMS and gives you a sign and it comes to pass but it was one of bad
such as follow false idols or other gods. Do not listen for God is testing you.

Deuteronomy
13:1-5
If there
arise among you a prophet, or a DREAMER of DREAMS, and giveth thee a sign or a wonder, And the sign or the
wonder come to pass, whereof he spake unto thee,
saying, Let us go after other gods, which thou hast
not known, and let us serve them; Thou shalt not
hearken unto the words of that prophet, or that
DREAMER of DREAMS: for the LORD your God proveth you,
to know whether ye love the LORD your God with all
your heart and with all your soul. Ye shall walk after
the LORD your God, and fear him, and keep his
commandments, and obey his voice, and ye shall serve
him, and cleave unto him. And that prophet, or that
DREAMER of DREAMS, shall be put to death; because he
hath spoken to turn you away from the LORD your God,
which brought you out of the land of Egypt, and
redeemed you out of the house of bondage, to thrust
thee out of the way which the LORD thy God commanded
thee to walk in. So shalt thou put the evil away from
the midst of thee. |
DREAM INTERPRETATION
It is a Spiritual gift from God ...
JOSEPH AND DANIEL WERE TWO OF THE DREAM
INTERPRETERS IN THE BIBLE.
There was Baker and Butler that
DREAMED and Joseph interpreted their DREAMS. One was a DREAM of upcoming
death.

Genesis 40:5-7
And they
DREAMED a DREAM
both of them, each man his DREAM in one night, each
man according to the interpretation of his DREAM, the
butler and the baker of the king of Egypt, which were
bound in the prison. |
Joseph
said interpretations of DREAMS belongs to God.

Genesis 40:8
And they
said unto him, We have dreamed a
DREAM,
and there is no interpreter of it. And Joseph said
unto them, Do not interpretations belong to God? tell
me them, I pray you. |
JOSEPH INTERPRETED THE DREAMS FOR BOTH.
Then Pharaoh of Egypt had a DREAM and Joseph
was called to interpret the DREAM, which he did.
Joseph made it clear that we are to
give credit to God when
interpreting DREAMS.

Genesis 41:16
And
Joseph answered Pharaoh, saying, It is not in me: God
shall give Pharaoh an answer of peace. |
God gives gift of DREAM
interpretation.

Daniel 1:17
As for
these four children, God gave them knowledge and skill in all
learning and wisdom: and Daniel had understanding in all
VISIONS
and DREAMS. |
Daniel had DREAMS that answered
what DREAMS of others meant.

Daniel 2:19
Then was
the secret revealed unto Daniel in a night vision.
Then Daniel blessed the God of heaven. |
The Word of God divides
Soul/Spirit.
A discerner of thoughts and intents
of heart.
Including dreams ...

Hebrews 4:12
For the
word of God is quick, and powerful, and sharper than
any twoedged sword, piercing even to the dividing
asunder of soul and spirit, and of the joints and
marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents
of the heart. |
