1 Corinthians 1:26-28

and God hath chosen the weak things
of the world to confound the things which are mighty; And base things of the world, and
things which are despised, hath God chosen, yea, and things
which are not, to bring to nought things that are. |
God has chosen to use the rejects of the world, if ya will ... To
serve Him.
Those who
feel they are worthless.
Those who are found to be UNWORTHY by the World
and even themselves.
You may be a loner or
perhaps known by others and even yourself as being a bit odd, weird or strange ...
AGAIN ...
That is EXACTLY
who God has called according to His Word.
God has called the PECULIAR souls to serve Him.

1 Peter 2:9
But ye are a chosen generation,
a royal priesthood, an holy nation,
a peculiar people;
that ye should shew forth the praises of Him who hath called you
out of darkness into His marvelous light. |
Awesome huh?
See ... God chose those that He knew could
NEVER think more highly of themselves than they are and would seek only to
LOVE and SERVE Him.
He does not want a bunch of souls who will turn on
Him down the road and desire to BE Him, as satan did.

WHAT DOES
MANY CALLED FEW CHOSEN
MEAN?
Many Called Few Chosen means that God CALLS MANY souls to serve Him, but FEW are CHOSEN.
WOW ... WHY?
It is
because FEW CHOOSE to answer the call.
Our Lord Jesus shared these
words with us in the book of Matthew to explain what Many Called Few
Chosen means.

Matthew 22:1-14
And Jesus answered and spake unto them again by parables, and
said, The Kingdom of Heaven is like unto a certain king, which
made a marriage for his son, And sent forth his servants to call
them that were bidden to the wedding: and they would not come.
Again, he sent forth other servants, saying, Tell them which are
bidden, Behold, I have prepared my dinner: my oxen and my
fatlings are killed, and all things are ready: come unto the
marriage. But they made light of it, and went their ways, one to
his farm, another to his merchandise: And the remnant took his
servants, and entreated them spitefully, and slew them.
But when the king heard thereof, he was wroth: and he sent forth
his armies, and destroyed those murderers, and burned up their
city. Then saith he to his servants, The wedding is ready,
but they which were bidden were not worthy .
Go ye therefore into the highways, and as many as ye shall find,
bid to the marriage. So those servants went out into the
highways, and gathered together all as many as they found,
both bad and good: and the
wedding was furnished with guests.
And when the king came in to
see the guests, he saw there a man which had not on a wedding
garment: And he saith unto him, Friend, how camest thou in
hither not having a wedding garment? And he was speechless. Then
said the king to the servants, Bind him hand and foot, and take
him away, and cast him into outer darkness, there shall be
weeping and gnashing of teeth.
For many are called, but few are chosen. |
God has called many souls over the years, but few answered the
call.
He calls more now to serve Him.
But, many whom He has called have
elected to pursue WORLDLY matters instead.
That is why ... Many Called Few Chosen.
Because, few choose to surrender the
worldly path.
They may be Christians, but they feel
OBLIGATED to follow some or all of the worldly trends and find just about
any reason they can as to explain away WHY they cannot answer the calling
of GOD,
at this point in their life.
The problem is ...
There is a large task ahead and few laborers.

Matthew
9:37-38
And Jesus went about all the
cities and villages, teaching in their synagogues, and preaching
the Gospel of the kingdom, and healing every sickness and every
disease among the people. But when he saw the multitudes, he was
moved with compassion on them, because they fainted, and were
scattered abroad, as sheep having no shepherd. Then saith He
unto his disciples, The
harvest truly is plenteous, but the labourers are few; Pray ye
therefore the Lord of the harvest, that he will send forth
labourers into his harvest. |
When we are called
AND ANSWER THE CALLING ...
T he Holy Spirit gives us specific GIFTS to use as to fulfill God's will.

Corinthians 12:4-13
Now there are diversities of gifts,
but the same Spirit. And there are
differences of administrations, but the same Lord.
And there are diversities of operations,
but it is the same God which worketh all in all. But the
manifestation of the Spirit is given to every man to profit
withal. For to one is given by the
Spirit the word of wisdom; to another
the word of knowledge by the same Spirit;
To
another faith by
the same Spirit; to another the gifts of healing by the same
Spirit; To another the working of
miracles; to another prophecy; to another
discerning of spirits;
to another divers kinds of tongues;
to
another the interpretation of tongues: But all these
worketh that one and the selfsame Spirit,
dividing to every man severally as He will. For as the
body is one, and hath many members, and all the members of that
one body, being many, are one body: so also is Christ. For by
one Spirit are we all baptized into one body, whether we be Jews
or Gentiles, whether we be bond or free; and have been all made
to drink into one Spirit. |
This

There are different types of callings ...
One may be called to do this and another to do
that.
They are called administrations.
There are different
administrations ...

Corinthians Chapter 12:28
And God hath set some in the Church, first
apostles, secondarily prophets, thirdly
teachers, after that miracles, then gifts of
healings, helps, governments, diversities of tongues. |
The purpose of
these administrations is to bring in the sheep and glorify God.

Ephesians 4:11-16
And He (Jesus) gave some,
apostles;
and some,
prophets;
and some,
evangelists;
and some,
pastors
and
teachers;
For the perfecting of the saints, for the work of the
ministry, for the edifying of the body of Christ: Till
we all come in the unity of the faith, and of the knowledge
of the Son of God, unto a perfect man, unto the measure of
the stature of the fulness of Christ. That we henceforth be
no more children, tossed to and fro, and carried about with
every wind of doctrine, by the sleight of men, and cunning
craftiness, whereby they lie in wait to deceive; But
speaking the TRUTH IN LOVE, may grow up into Him in all
things, which is the head, even Christ: From whom the whole
body fitly joined together and compacted by that which every
joint supplieth, according to the effectual working in the
measure of every part, maketh increase of the body unto the
edifying of itself in love. |
This does NOT mean
that one administration is of lesser value within
the Body of Christ ...
Now, what is the
Body of Christ?
Let’s look at the
description of the Body of Christ within 1 Corinthians,
Chapter 12 ...
This is a wonderful
explanation by Paul, of how we’re all united in Christ and how we all
should depend on and appreciate one another and the Spiritual gifts
that each one of us has been blessed with.
Let’s take a look.

1 Corinthians 12:14-27
For the body is not one member,
but many.
If the foot shall say, Because I am
not the hand, I am not of the body; is it therefore not of the
body? And if the ear shall say,
Because I am not the eye, I am not of the body; is it therefore
not of the body? If the whole body were an eye, where were the
hearing? If the whole were hearing, where were the smelling? But
now hath God set the members every one of them in the body,
as it hath pleased him.
And if they were all one member, where were the body?
But now are they many members, yet but one
body.
And the eye cannot say unto the
hand, I have no need of thee: nor again the head to the feet, I
have no need of you. Nay, much more those members of the body,
which seem to be more feeble, are necessary:
And those members of the body,
which we think to be less honourable, upon these we bestow more
abundant honour; and our
uncomely parts have more abundant comeliness. For our comely
parts have no need: but
God hath tempered the body together,
having given more abundant honour to that part which lacked.
That there should be no
schism in the body; but
that the members should have the same care one for another. And
whether one member suffer, all the members suffer with it; or
one member be honoured, all the members rejoice with it. Now ye
are the body of Christ, and members in particular ... |
We are to be ONE BODY and work in
harmony together.
We are not to hold pride or jealousy cuz
we feel another member of the Body of Christ is deemed as
being more attractive.
Here is another look at it ...
We will use the human body in this example
...
If the mouth was to say to the rear end
...
"Yo, look at me ... I am seen by all, am
able to voice thoughts and expressions and I take in food
that nourishes the entire body"
The rear end, which is not as "comely" a
body part, can simply reply ...
"Yes, this is true, but if it were not for
me, you would be full of it."
So ... One body part is just as important as
the other in the Body of Christ as they work TOGETHER.
Paul also shared
of the Body of Christ in the Book of Romans, Chapter 12 …

Romans 12:4-16
For as we have many members in one
body, and all members have not the same office: So we, being
many, are one body in Christ, and every one members one of
another. Having then gifts differing according to the Grace
that is given to us,
whether prophecy, let us prophesy according to the proportion of
Faith; Or
ministry, let us wait on our ministering:
or
he that teacheth, on teaching; Or
he that exhorteth, on exhortation:
he that giveth, let him do it with simplicity;
he that ruleth, with diligence;
he that sheweth mercy, with cheerfulness.
Let love be without dissimulation.
Abhor that which is evil;
cleave to that which is good.
Be kindly affectioned one to another with brotherly love;
in honour preferring one another; Not slothful in business;
fervent in spirit;
serving the Lord;
Rejoicing in hope;
patient in tribulation; continuing
instant in prayer; Distributing to the necessity of saints;
given to hospitality. Bless them which persecute you: bless, and
curse not.
Rejoice with them that do rejoice, and weep with them that weep.
Be of the same mind one toward another. Mind not high things,
but condescend to men of low estate. Be not wise in your own
conceits. |
Paul
also shared in the book of Ephesians …

Ephesians 4:1-4
I therefore, the prisoner of the Lord, beseech you that ye
walk worthy of the vocation wherewith ye are called,
With all lowliness and meekness, with longsuffering,
forbearing one another in love; Endeavouring to keep the unity of the
Spirit in the bond of peace.
There is one body, and one Spirit, even as ye are called in
one hope of your calling
... |
THIS … IS UNITY
OF THE BODY OF CHRIST.
In short ... There
are different administrations and different Spiritual gifts given
to each individual as GOD sees fit as to accomplish the tasks set
before them to bring His will to pass.
ALL parts of the
body of Christ (Christians) are important and necessary and one
should not be upset that they have been chosen by God to be a
caregiver as compared to let's say, being a prophet.
GOD CHOOSES WHAT YOU
ARE TO BE.
