LOVE CONQUERS ALL BIBLE VERSE STUDY
TRUE LOVE CONQUERS ALL RESEARCH
Welcome! Itís a pleasure to have this opportunity to share more Daily
Bread with you. Last time we studied, Paul was telling us about spiritual
gifts. He explained how we are each blessed with different gifts, yet we all
work together, with one just as important as another.
And at the end of this topic, Paul says, You can earnestly desire the
very best gifts, and still, Iíll show you something even better. What could be better than glorifying God with the gifts that
Heís given to you? Doing it with love!
There are many Love Conquers all Bible verses which reveal
the power of LOVE. Love is the spiritual gift that enhances all other spiritual gifts. Itís available to
every one of us, both to give and to receive. The question is, how do we use it?
To start off with, take a look at what Jesus says about love.
... The first of all the
commandments is, Hear, O Israel; The Lord our God is one Lord: And
thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all
thy soul, and with all thy mind, and with all thy strength: this is
the first commandment. And the second is like, namely this, Thou
shalt love thy neighbour as thyself. There is none other commandment
greater than these.
Now, back to our question. How do we use the gift of love that the Holy
Spirit gives to us? Because love is a spiritual gift, itís difficult for
most people to put the definition of love into words. In fact, many people
confuse love with other feelings and fleshly desires.
Paul, on the other hand, isnít like most people, and he doesnít have any
trouble at all describing what love is. While you read, examine the love
that you give and receive in your life and answer these questions for
yourself, How do I put the spiritual gift of love to work in my life? Am I
faithful to love? In other words, Do I cheat myself or others by choosing to
abide by only certain responsibilities of love, and not others? And while
youíre answering that one, keep this in mind:
1 John 4:16
God is love; and he that
dwelleth in love dwelleth in God, and God in him.
Now, letís join Paul for the answer to the age old question, What is love?
LOVE CONQUERS ALL BIBLE VERSE HOPE
TRUE LOVE CONQUERS ALL BLESSING
If I spoke in different languages of men and
even of angels, without love, my voice would be like that of a clanging cymbal. And I may have the gift of prophecy, and understand all the mysteries of Heaven, and know all the knowledge of the earth, and though I may have so much Faith that I could move
mountains, without love, I am nothing. And I may give all that I own to feed the poor, and I may give my body to be burned,
but if I have no love, it profits me nothing.
Iím going to write the next several verses exactly as Paul wrote them on
the left and on the right, is how we might say it in our modern language.
Sometimes, the way things were worded when King James translated the Bible
back in the 1600ís is just too lovely not to include.

LOVE CONQUERS ALL BIBLE VERSE TRUTH
TRUE LOVE CONQUERS ALL AND ENDURES ALL
This is the real, spiritual gift of
Love. If everyone you loved, and
everyone who loves you, followed this definition of love that Paul
describes, wouldnít you find it easier to love? Wouldnít you find it easier
not to modify love yourself? What do you think ... If you take away even
one of the things in the definition, is it love anymore? Also, did you
notice that Paul never used the words ďsometimesĒ or ďmost of the timeĒ in
his recollection of what the
Holy Spirit told him to teach about what love
Hereís an interesting observation. Love seeketh not ďherĒ own. Love is
spoken of in the feminine form because it is soft, it is gentle, it is meek.
You may want to print this out, cut out the little boxes with Paulís
definition of love in them, and memorize it, because if this is something
that works with your other spiritual gifts to enhance them, itís a very good
thing to remember.
Love never fails, but where there are prophecies,
they shall fail;
Where there be tongues,
they shall cease;
where there is knowledge,
it shall vanish away.
Because we can never have a perfect conception of knowledge or prophecy.
Remember, a few chapters ago, Paul said, whoever thinks he knows
something, doesnít know anything like he ought to know, so if your gift is
knowledge or prophecy, humanly, you cannot know it all. Did you know that we
canít fully comprehend this spiritual gift of love while weíre still mortal?
But when that which is perfect (complete) is come
then that which is in part shall be done away.
(When we are in the next life, we'll forget all about this one.)
When I was a child, I talked as a child,
I felt as a child, I reasoned as a child:
but when I became a man, I put away childish things.
For now we see through a mirror, darkly;
(the mirrors of old time were different than today and the reflections were not clear)
but when Jesus returns, then weíll see face to face:
now I know (Him) in part;
but then shall I know (Him) even as also I am known (by Him).
1 John 3:2
Beloved, now are we the sons of God, and it doth not yet appear what
we shall be: but we know that, when He shall appear, we shall be
like Him; for we shall see Him as He is.
And now remains Faith, Hope, Love,
but the greatest of these is love.
This may be a great time to have a little private meeting with your
conscience and brush up on any qualities of love that you may have been
leaving out. If you claim to love, youíre responsible for the whole package,
and the rewards youíll get for investing in your spiritual gift of love will
definitely make a positive change in your life, because youíll not only be
enhancing the other spiritual gifts that you receive from the Holy Ghost,
but youíll also be honoring Godís greatest commandments.
