The Biblical Laws of Moses Explained
The Book of the Law of Moses Story

It is always nice to have you back with us at Daily Bread! As was mentioned in the beginning of our study of the book of Deuteronomy, much of the content of this book is a reiteration of the law that is already included in the previous books of Moses, though the words may differ ever so slightly.

As for our study of this material, I will list for you the main topics of each chapter, and any other significant additional material that may be included, but I'd also like to remind you, as always, these laws are the laws of the OLD Testament.

They were given by God through Moses to the children of Israel. In the NEW Testament, God put the law into our hearts. If you'd like to learn more about the "laws" of the New Testament, check out the study called Gentle Gentile Law.

Deuteronomy 18:15-19

15 The Lord thy God will raise up unto thee a Prophet from the midst of thee, of thy brethren, like unto me; unto Him ye shall hearken;
16 According to all that thou desiredst of the Lord thy God in Horeb in the day of the assembly, saying, Let me not hear again the voice of the Lord my God, neither let me see this great fire any more, that I die not.
17 And the Lord said unto me, They have well spoken that which they have spoken.
18 I will raise them up a Prophet from among their brethren, like unto thee, and will put my Words in His mouth; and He shall speak unto them all that I shall command Him.
