Ezra in the Bible Story
In the previous books of the Bible, we've learned about the tragedies that the kingdoms of Israel and Judah endured because of their backsliding, rebellion and distance from God. To understand the Biblical Ezra Bible study timeline, you need to understand the Ezra in the Bible timing. This resulted in their captivity.
Israel being carried away by Assyria and Judah being carried away by the Chaldeans. Israel never recovered their original inheritances, and were so scattered that they became sort of merged with the heathen nations.
Judah however as was prophesied, after 70 years, returned to their own country, and the Biblical Ezra and Nehemiah books portray how the Lord accomplished this miraculous blessing and the key players of His divine plan.
