The hustle and bustle of the holiday season can be challenging and
even exhausting if we lose sight of what we’re celebrating. The
birth of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ was meant to bring peace
joy and freedom to our souls, not labor and frustration.
Many people enjoy participating in Christmas traditions and there are
so many of them ... And so many details of each one. They can make
Christmas time seem like a job instead of a joy.
So. what can you do to make the Holy time of Christmas a more
meaningful and joyous time for yourself and your loved ones? It’s
easy really. Keep Christ in Christmas! Don’t forget the
occasion that you are celebrating, and include reminders in any way
you can. Here are some suggestions.
Keeping Christ in Christmas By Pondering Upon Jesus
Ways to Keep Christ in Christmas With Stories
Refresh your memory. Read the story of Baby Jesus. You can find it in:
You can also find it in:
You may want to make it a
tradition to read this aloud, say, after Thanksgiving dinner to start
the Christmas season off right. This is especially important if you
have young children. It’s so easy in today’s world for
small children to be led away from the true meaning of Christmas.

Christmas Music
Make yourself a nice Christmas music mix of your favorite Noels. Why
not make a few? One could be for home, another for your car, one for
your other favorite listening device and one or more for loved ones.
Christmas music is definitely a good way to keep Christ in Christmas
by reminding you of what you’re celebrating.

Ways to Keep Christ in Christmas the Nativity
There are many churches that display a nativity scene during the
Christmas Holidays. Why not stop and pray a while at a nativity
during Christmas time? If you have children, don’t miss the
opportunity to take them to a nativity scene so they can see a visual
display of the story of Jesus’ birth. Make sure to explain how
important it is to thank God for sending His Son the Baby Jesus our
Savior, so that we can have eternal life. What a gift our Father has
given us!
How many people take their children to see Santa Clause, but neglect
to take them to see Baby Jesus lying in a manger?

Gifts
Speaking of gifts, why
do we give gifts to each other at Christmas time? The Magi
gave gifts to Jesus.
Matthew 2:11
And when they were come into the house, they saw the young child with
Mary his mother, and fell down, and worshipped him: and when they had
opened their treasures, they presented unto him gifts; gold, and
frankincense and myrrh.
Maybe we can look at it this way; since we can’t give Jesus
Himself tangible gifts today, we still know that we are the body of
Christ so we are in a sense, giving gifts to Jesus when we give gifts
to each other. Be sure that your gifts reflect that sentiment. If you
think that your gift to someone would in any way be used in an
un-Christian-like manner, please reconsider your selection for two
reasons. For your own sake because you don’t want to be
responsible and for the receiver’s sake because you don’t
want their soul to be led astray.
Keeping Christ in Christmas With Merry Christmas Greeting
Ways to Keep Christ in Christmas the Reason for the Season
Season’s Greetings?
Do you send Christmas cards? Take advantage of this opportunity to
remind yourself and those on your Christmas card list of the birth of
Jesus. Instead of a winter scene or a reindeer or any other design
that has absolutely nothing to do with the birthday celebration of
Jesus Christ, you can choose cards that keep Christ in Christmas.
Even your verbal greetings can remind folks why we are all really
celebrating this very Holy Day.

Ways to Keep Christ in Christmas With Spiritual Images
Decorations
Yet another way of keeping Christ in Christmas is by choosing
decorations that remind you and others of the birth of Christ. The
North Star, angels, nativity scenes, the Magi ... These are all
decorations that show you keep Christ in Christmas. That is not to
say that you shouldn’t put up a Christmas tree or Christmas
lights or a Christmas wreath, etc. Remember, God knows what is in
your heart and why you do things, and that is what matters.
December 25th
It’s possible, that December 25th was not the actual day that
Jesus was born. And there are also people that say that December 25th
is a pagan celebration in honor of some evil person or event from
long ago. My friend, on any given day of the year, let’s say
your own birthday, something bad happened sometime, somewhere, caused
by somebody. That doesn’t mean you are bad because you were
born on that day and that’s when you celebrate your birthday.
We know what we are celebrating in our hearts on Christmas Day and
that is what is important. Keeping Christ in Christmas quotes are
excellent too.
What Else?
There are so many things you can do that will help you with Keeping
Christ in Christmas and those things will remind others to do the
same. Replace your rear view mirror decoration with a cross or
something else that inspires a thought of Christ’s birth. Hang
a cross on your front door, write Noel on your Christmas cookies, go
Christmas caroling, adopt a poor family for Christmas and bring them
Christmas dinner and gifts that they cannot afford, donate your time
to a Christian cause, the ways to keep Christ in Christmas
possibilities are endless.
Glory To God in the Highest
Our purpose in life is to glorify God our Father. What better way
than to glorify His Son.
John 16:27
For the Father himself loveth you, because ye have loved me, and have
believed that I came out from God.
John 14:21
He that hath my commandments, and keepeth them, he it is that loveth
me: and he that loveth me shall be loved of my Father, and I will
love him, and will manifest myself to him.
Keeping Christ in Christmas ideas ... In these modern times, the
enemy of our souls has many means by which to distract us from our
purpose - our cause. Be alert. Keep your focus on your goals. If you
find yourself frustrated, tired, distracted, worried and just plain
not in the Christmas spirit, take the time to spend a few moments
here and there in prayer and ask God, through His precious Son Jesus’
name, to remove anything that is preventing you from keeping
Christ in Christmas. Ask Him to bring the peace and joy of the
celebration of Christmas into your heart and to use you to bring that
same wonderful gift to everyone you encounter.
Merry Christmas
On behalf of Christianity Oasis On Line, May the Peace, Love and Joy
of Christmas be with you and your loved ones this Holy season.
Luke 2:11
For unto you is born this day in the city of David a Saviour, which
is Christ the Lord.
During this busy holiday season, make time to share your thoughts
and time with Jesus.

Ways to Keep Christ in Christmas With Love
What is Christmas?
What is Christmas let me see
Candy canes upon the tree
Packages that have a bow
Stockings hanging in a row
Cherry pie with perfect crust
Eating ’till you think you’ll bust
Helping spot a place to park
Shopping until way past dark
Pretty wreaths on every door
Crumpled wrapping on the floor
Fruitcake Grandma sent for all
It’ll make a great football
What is missing can you tell
Here’s one thing that rings a bell
What is Christmas from the start
It’s putting Jesus in your heart
I hope that you do not forget
It’s not about the gifts you get
It’s not the egg nog for your thirst
Or if your sister wakes up first
It’s not if you’ve been bad or good
Or stacking up the firewood
It’s not the Christmas TV shows
Or reindeer with a plastic nose
It’s so much more than all those things
It’s Baby Jesus King of Kings
And how the little Babe was born
That Oh so lovely Christmas morn
So share the story with someone
’Cause Christmas can be so much fun
When Jesus is the kind of cheer
That gets inside and stays all year
In honor of
Jesus’ Birthday, we’d like to share with you our studies that focus
particularly on Jesus so that you can grow closer to Him and enrich
your life by knowing Him better.
