We hope those of you who have been with us during our Tell me the
story of Jesus study and enjoying it. Let us begin our adventurous
journey into the Christian Healing Bible study where we discuss some
Biblical Healing Miracles and more importantly, the ways to receive
healing and miracles. If you seek genuine healing for yourself, you
will find what you seek by walking the Healing Path.
We left off on an occasion while Jesus was in Jerusalem during the
feast days, He was by the sheep market on the north side of the
Temple where there is a pool, which in Hebrew is called Bethesda,
which had five porches. On these porches lay a great multitude of
crippled folk, of blind, immobilized, paralyzed, waiting for the
moving of the water, because an Angel went down at a certain season
into the pool, and stirred the water. Whoever then, after the
stirring of the water first stepped in was healed of whatever disease
he had. Is that remarkable, or what?
A certain man was there, who had an infirmity for thirty eight years.
When Jesus saw him lie, and knew that he had been crippled for a long
time, He said to him, Do you wish to be made well? The crippled man
answered Him, Sir, I have no man, when the water is stirred, to put
me into the pool: but while I am trying, another steps down before me.
Remember that the Biblical Healing Miracles that we share are
performed for the glory of God. Back, to our Christian Healing Bible
study story. Jesus said to him, Rise, take up your bed, and walk, and
immediately the man was healed, and took up his bed, and walked, and
on the same day was the Sabbath. The Jews then said to the man, It is
the Sabbath day, it is not lawful for you to carry your bed. Can you
imagine the audacity? He answered them, The man who healed me said,
Take up your bed, and walk. Then they asked him, What man is that?
But the man didn't know who it was because Jesus had hidden Himself
away, as there were many people there.
Afterward Jesus found the man in the Temple, and said to him, Behold,
you are made well, sin no more, unless a worse thing comes upon you.
The man left, and told the Jews that it was Jesus who had made him
well. The Jews persecuted Jesus, and sought to slay Him, because He
had done these things on the Sabbath day, but Jesus answered them, My
Father works still, and I work. So the Jews sought all the more to
kill Him, because He not only had broken the Sabbath, but also said
that God was His Father, making Himself equal with God.
Then Jesus said to them, Truly, truly, I say to you, The Son can do
nothing of Himself, only what He sees the Father do: for whatever
things God does, the Son does likewise. For the Father loves the Son,
and shows Him all things that He does: and He will show Him greater
works than these, so that you may be in awe. For as the Father raises
up the dead, and gives them life; the Son also gives life to whom He
wishes. For the Father judges no man, but has committed all judgment
to the Son, so that all men should honor the Son, just as they honor
the Father. He that doesn't honor the Son doesn't honor the Father
which has sent Him.
We are about to share a Christian Healing Bible study essential necessity:
Jesus continues ... Truly, truly, I say to you, He that hears my
Word, and believes in God that sent me, has everlasting life, and
shall not come into condemnation; but is passed from death unto life.
It is faith that brings forth the Biblical Healing Miracles.
Truly, truly, I say to you, The hour is coming, and now is, when the
dead shall hear the voice of the Son of God: and they that hear shall
live. For as the Father has life in Himself; so has He given to the
Son to have life in Himself; and has given Him authority to execute
judgment also, because He is the Son of man.
Marvel not at this, for the hour is coming in which all that are in
the graves shall hear His voice, and shall come forth; they that have
done good, to the resurrection of life; and they that have done evil,
to the resurrection of damnation.
I can of my own will, do nothing. As I hear, I judge: and my judgment
is just, because I seek not my own will, but the will of the Father
which has sent me. If I testify of myself, my witness is not true.
There is another that testifies of me; and I know that what He
testifies is true.
You sent people to question John, and he testified the truth. But I
don't look for testimony from man, but these things I say, so that
you might be saved. He was a burning and a shining light: and you
were willing for a season to rejoice in his light.
But I have greater witness than that of John: for the works which the
Father has given me to finish, the same works that I do, bear witness
of me, that the Father has sent me. And the Father Himself, which has
sent me, has borne witness of me. You have neither heard His voice at
any time, nor seen His shape. And you don't have His word abiding in
you: for whom He has sent, you don't believe.
Search the Scriptures. In them you think you have eternal life: and
the Scriptures testify of me, and you will not come to me, that you
might have life. I receive not honor from men. But I know you, that
you don't have the love of God in you.
I am here in my Father's name, and you don't welcome me. But if
another shall come in his own name, him you will believe. How can you
believe, who receive honor one of another, and seek not the honor
that comes from God only?
Don't think that I will accuse you to the Father: there is one that
accuses you, which is Moses, in whom you trust. For if you had
believed Moses, you would have believed me, because he wrote of me.
But if you don't believe his writings, how shall you believe my words?
