The Book of 2 Chronicles Bible events picks up where the First Book of the Chronicles leaves off, at the death of King David. The 2 Chronicles Bible story begins with the reign of Solomon and after that, the reigns of all the kings of the lineage of David.

But of the kings of Judah only, after the nation of Israel was divided into the kingdom of Judah and the kingdom of Israel. The history continues on through the captivity of Judah in Babylon and goes all the way through when Cyrus was inspired by God to deliver the Jewish people from there.

The Book of 2 Chronicles summary omits a few things that are included in the book of Kings, but it also mentions a number of notable things that are not mentioned in Kings and are only available in the 2 Chronicles Bible book.
