Welcome to our Christianity Oasis Daily Bread study program. This is very thought provoking ... The Prophet Hosea in the Bible overview on the provocative Prophet Hosea story. The absolutely interesting Prophet Hosea in the Bible message will truly bring a smile to the lips and heart and shine the LIGHT of Truth upon your be-YOU-tiful Christian walk path.
Who was the Prophet Hosea in the Bible and why was the Prophet Hosea called to be a prophet? The Prophet Hosea in the Bible story is one of the most provocative stories in the Bible. God had the Prophet Hosea do some things, so that Hosea would feel how God felt and be better able to preach for Him.
God said that He would do
nothing without first revealing it through His Prophets.
Amos 3:7
Surely the Lord
GOD will do nothing, but He revealeth His secret unto
His servants the Prophets. |
Isaiah 46:9-10
Remember the former things of old: for I am God, and
there is none else; I am God, and there is none like
me, declaring the end from the beginning, and from
ancient times the things that are not yet done,
saying, My counsel shall stand, and I will do all my
pleasure ... |
Isaiah 52:6
Therefore MY people shall know MY name: therefore
they shall know in that day that I Am He that doth
speak: behold it is I. |
So we see
that when a prophet shares God's Word ... It is GOD who is
speaking.
There were 4 major Bible Prophets and 12
minor Bible Prophets.
Hosea was a minor Prophet.
HOSEA
Hosea was
forced into marriage with a harlot to show the way God
feels about Israel's idols when He is the husband. He
foretold End Times and many other prophecies. |

THE PROPHET HOSEA STORY TRUTH THE PROPHET HOSEA IN THE BIBLE FACTS
It's not always clear to us what
different prophecies mean, until they come to pass. The
Jewish people didn't recognize that Jesus was the Messiah,
and He was crucified by them, but this was all part of God's
plan. Jesus also brought us prophecy from God about the End
Times. He said that we are to be prepared by watching for
the signs, so that day doesn't surprise us.
Matthew 24:42-44
Watch therefore: for
ye know not what hour your Lord doth come. But know
this, that if the good man of the house had known in
what watch the thief would come, he would have
watched, and would not have suffered his house to be
broken up. Therefore be ye also ready: for in such an
hour as ye think not the Son of man cometh. |
