unattainable, huh?
It's not.
We have learned
several things during this Self Harm
Site program ...
Reasons why we
might do what we do ...
That we ARE
forgiven and a treasure in the eyes
of God ...
Just a little bit
of Hope is all it takes to start to
heal ...
Reasons why we
should stop what we do ...
Specific ways we
can stop through finding
replacements ...
If you think I'm
just leaving you here and saying
"Nice to meet you, Good luck" ...
Think again.
I'm not going
anywhere ...
Remember ... We are
in this together.
The next step we
are going to do is begin a "Healing
Path."
It's a path that
is now going to help us find the
source and the root of why we do
what we do so we can attack it head
on. We can find replacements
all day long ... But it won't CURE the
root of the problem.
As we find and
tackle the root, we will be
remembering our reasons and
motivations for stopping, as well as
having our replacements READY when
we do get tempted. The
temptations will slowly die down as
we fight them off one by one.
Don't give up.
I gave up time
after time ... And it left me in the
same state ... And each time I gave up
and fell, I got back up.
If and when you fall, get back up.
Even if you fall
face first into the deepest mud hole
in town ... Get up, clean off your
clothes, and keep going.
The finish line is well worth it.
Just remember ...
Just because you fall ... Doesn't make
the finish line disappear. It
doesn't go anywhere.

And trying to always be right
No room for mistakes in the choices we make
For only the strong survive
But it's not about perfect performance
Or resolution of will
It's all about surrender
Giving up
Being still
It's only for the weak
For the faint of heart
Those driven to their knees
Those who live with scars
There's power from beyond
We're certain where it's from
And that's our source of strength
Before we follow Christ
We need to be advised
It's only for the weak
He welcomes the worn and the weary
All who are wounded by sin
And just as we are, we can fall in His arms
Rest and find shelter in Him
Seems like each day as a battle
With burdens and struggles to face
And only in our losing
Do we truly see how much we've gained
The Father always starts
Within a willing heart
Open to how He moves
As His spirit is poured
He will do so much more
Than we dreamed He could do.

When you decide to
try again LATER ... It only makes more
work for you.
The Time is NOW
God can and WILL
see you thru this.

God, grant me the Serenity to accept the things I
can not change
Courage to
change the things I can,
And the Wisdom to
know the difference.
Living one day at
a time;
Enjoying one
moment at a time;
Accepting
hardships as the pathway to peace;
Taking, as He
did, this sinful world
as it is, not as
I would have it;
Trusting that He
will make all things right
if I surrender to
His Will;
That I may be
reasonably happy in this life
and supremely
happy with Him
Forever in the
next.
Amen.

With a glimpse of the light, it gets
hard to let go.
But doubt overrides And I want to
know
If I'll really make it or will I
fail again
I've allowed my soul to be
shattered, I've allowed my heart not
to mend.
But in light, Your Truth shines
brighter than all of my fears
The darkness grows dimmer the more I
near
To your presence and holiness; I'm
so unworthy
But you remind me I'm a clean slate
so I fall on my knees
And give thanks. Amen.
