Here we come!
On the road again…
Just can't wait to get on the road again….
We can't stay in our past states of mind and
expect the State line of Freedom to walk up to us itself.
No... we have to DRIVE to it.
Just as it is with our abuse... If our abuse is still happening, we
have to get OUT of it before we can expect to heal and reach
the State of Freedom. If you are still in the situation or living in the place
where the abuse still occurs, GET OUT.
If we
have escaped our abuse, we need to
learn how to keep our mind from heading BACK to the state of
mind where we cling to past memories which causes us to
ponder on them all of the time and has our spirit
to react negatively.
ENOUGH
IS ENOUGH
We are DONE with letting
this abuse control us and our thoughts.
NO MORE !!!
Whether the abuse is occurring
now or in the past and we are harboring the thoughts from
the experiences. We must choose to kick those thoughts to
the curb. Get them OUT of our mind and cleanse our soul.
Enough is Enough.
We are on a DIFFERENT path now.
OUT of the state of
confusion, loneliness, emptiness and misery and we are headed
on a ONE WAY trip to the
State of Freedom. Repeated thoughts and flashbacks are NOT
detours we are going to take any longer. We know better now. We KNOW
how uncomfortable we feel. We know we are longing to be
FREE.
We have learned just through this
seven days of our road trip, what is right and wrong and what God says about
His love
for us and how we are HIS PROPERTY.
Enough is enough.
We are not our own to give away to
them.
We belong to God.

We
were bought with a price.
The
blood of our Lord Jesus.
Therefore ... Our soul, spirit and BODY belong to the LORD.
And God does NOT want us to share
our body with our abuser OR give power to the abuser or the
abuse itself by way of continual thought.
We CAN
escape our own thoughts.

Just up and leave the State of mind that has become our
daily routine?
We can do that?
YES WE CAN
By staying, we get used everyday. Whenever the abuser
chooses.
DESPITE WHETHER THE ACTUAL EXPERIENCE STILL OCCURS OR JUST WITHIN
OUR THOUGHTS !!!
They
are still in control IF we allow their past choices to
invade our mind at will.
We
must stop allowing the memories,
nightmares, and triggers to CON-trol us. We will see it (if we don't
already) seep into every part of our life-- our
relationships, our fears, our guilt/shame about
relationships, our school work/job.
Notice
how hard it is to focus on things at times?
Notice how we'll be watching a
movie and something that is said, shown, or done in the movie
will spark a trigger and the rest of our day or week is
ruined because that is all we can think about? The
feelings we feel of loneliness, shame, hurt, anger,
frustration, confusion, etc only intensify the longer
those feeling are fed instead of faced.
What
are we some sort of puppet?
NO WE
ARE NOT
But,
how do we stop living this LIE?
To get rid of lies, replace each lie with TRUTH.
God's
Truth remember, not our own.
Lies
that we have been reading and talking about throughout this
Spiritual road trip
already.
Lies like "God doesn't care", and "my abuser
only did it out of love", or "it was my fault"
or "I asked
for it."
Each
lie needs to be taken out and replaced with TRUTH.
Our belief in these lies negatively affect our lives.
We have to stop the cycle.
God gives us that power to stop it.
It's not too late for us to change our lives around.
It's
not too late to find and hold onto that HOPE that we held as a
child.
