So happy you're here!
Today's step is one of
my favorites. Let me
start off with a
question. If you went to
the store and picked up
a bottle of Women's
One-A-Day Vitamins, and
you read on the label
that each tablet
contained 100% of your
Daily Value of
SUBMISSIVENESS, would ya
buy 'em? No, wait, don't
answer yet. Just let
that little question
simmer while we carry on
with today's Step, then
you can answer it later,
okay?
Okay, since strength has
already been identified
as part of the recipe,
and we talked about
strength in Step 9,
let’s discuss the other
topic in this verse ...
Honor. What kind of
woman is honorable?
Grace comes from God. To
be gracious, you must be
godly. How does a godly
woman behave herself? As
she would in the
presence of God … Which
you are, at each and
every moment. An
honorable woman is
submissive to God and to
her husband.
STRENGTH =
SUBMISSIVENESS
It may sound like an
oxymoron to you, but
it's true. If you're not
submissive to your
husband, you will not
have a strong
relationship. Many women
abhor the
thought of
submissiveness, but
after discovering the
TRUTH in God’s Word,
you'll understand why
I've amended a popular
phrase of today’s modern
women.
You’ve come a long way,
baby … The wrong
way.
Let scripture show you
the TRUTH:
1
Corinthians
11:3
But I would
have you
know, that
the head of
every man is
Christ; and
the head of
the woman is
the man;
and the head of Christ is God. |

For the man
is not of
the woman:
but the
woman
of
the man.
Neither was
the man
created for
the woman;
but the
woman
for

Ephesians
5:22-24
Wives,
submit
yourselves
unto your
own husbands,
as unto the Lord. For the husband is the head of the wife, even as Christ is the
head of the church: and He is the Saviour

The Bible makes it
perfectly clear, a woman
is to be submissive to
her husband.

We discussed this in
Step 15, and way back in
Step 4, and even after
reading these
scriptures, are you
still feeling denial
about this whole
submissiveness thing in
your heart? Why? Because
you have been CON-vinced
... Persuaded by the
world to think
differently. When you
were a child, you were
taught to be submissive
to your parents, and you
knew that
it was God's Commandment
and it was right. You
didn't question it one
little bit because you
were taught that's what
was TRUTH. But the world
has taught you
differently about a wife
being in subjection to
her husband, and you've
become so conditioned by
the lies, that your mind
doesn't believe the
TRUTH. We touched on
this briefly when we
were talking about women
staying at home as well,
but let's take a look
once again at the very
beginnings of this
neglected virtue.

Genesis 3:16
Unto the
woman He
said, I will
greatly
multiply thy
sorrow and
thy
conception;
in sorrow
thou shalt
bring forth
children;
and thy
desire shall
be to thy
husband, and
he
shall rule
over thee. |
I've got some terrible
news for you. The world
is working on our
children as well. Many
of them already believe
that being submissive to
their parents is a
ridiculous suggestion.
If you will recall, in
this program, we've seen
twice where scripture
points out that in the
last days, this would be
the case.
The world has taken what
God intended as a
blessing to man, and
made it despicable. I am
woman, hear me roar?
This doesn't sound
anything like what God
had in mind:

Genesis 2:18
And the LORD
God said, It
is not good
that the man
should be
alone; I
will make
him an
help
meet for
him. |
Woman is not equal to
man, and never was meant
to be. She is a helper.
But she took the devil's
bait right from the
beginning by proving
that she was unable to
obey God, and that being
AS a God rather than a
humble servant of God
was more appealing to
her. (One must wonder,
if the devil had never
beguiled Eve, would she
have come up with this
ridiculous idea on her
own? And how many
ridiculous ideas are
expanded upon ... Ideas that the
world suggests to
people, that would never
have seen the light of
day if the world hadn't
presented them?) At any
rate, because of trying
to be something she IS
NOT, women acquired a
lesser role, and God put
us under man's rule. To
think that as a woman
you cannot or will not
be 'conquered' is
against God's command.
Period. But I stress to
you again, this doesn't
mean that you're of no
importance. You're
very
important, just not in
the ways the world has
deceived women into
believing. I'm going to
help you discover the
beauty of your
importance. You're going
to realize the wonder
and the marvel that is
the essence of being a
woman. You're going to
be a different person,
inside and out, when you
find her ... The godly
woman/child inside of
you, and the GRACE of
God.
A
BROKEN RECORD
Did you know that this
phrase is a homograph?
What's a homograph? It's
two words spelled alike
with different meanings.
Example:
I'm going to the
fair .
fair = market
The maiden is
fair .
fair = beautiful
I sound like a
broken record
when I repeat things
over and over and over
again to you.
A
broken record
is also a top
performance that has
been surpassed by
someone or something
else.
Please allow me to sound
like a broken record in
urging you to break your
own record in being
submissive to your
soul-mate.
I reiterate this point
because it's so
important. It's not
uncommon for women to be
insulting (even
publicly) about their
mate's inability to be
dominant. Could it be
that this isn't true at
all, but rather that
women are unwilling to
be submissive? Remember
we talked about this
early on in the program?
Have women caused their
mates to appear more
passive than them, when
it's really not that
they're unable to be
manly, but that women
are unable to be womanly
and refuse to yield? Oft
times this is made light
of, and it becomes a
standing joke at
gatherings, in front of
the children, well ...
Anywhere it can get the
woman a laugh or some
attention. Sorry to say,
ladies, the joke's on
you. Is God laughing at
you?

But the meek
shall
inherit the
Earth; and

themselves
in the

against the

with his

remember about this is
not to mistake meek for
weak. Moses was meek:

meek and
lowly in

They say that children
are sometimes
disobedient because they
desire discipline.
Discipline makes them
feel secure, because it
shows them where their
boundary lines are. This
may not make sense to
you until you think of
it this way. If you're a
child, and you're
playing outside, if
there is no fence, you
don't feel as safe as if
a fence is protecting
you. With a fence, you
know where the danger
zone is, but without a
fence, danger can sneak
up on you anytime. The
next time you find
yourself overpowering
your mate, ask yourself
a couple of questions:
Am I acting like a
child? Am I looking for
discipline from my
Father ... Searching for
my boundaries?
I've got a delightful
little poem for you to
read, that shows the
true beauty of the whole
concept of a woman being
submissive to a man.
This poem is about a
spelling bee.

I'll give you a moment
to get the Kleenex and
dry your eyes. After
reading such loving
words, can you feel
anything but admiration
for the virtue of the
little girl in this
poem. Shouldn't we all
have the determination
to strive for those same
kind of sincere
qualities in our own
character. What woman
wouldn't want their
soul-mate to write such
loving memories and have
such deep feelings for
them from the bottom of
their heart like this
man did? Now that, my
dear lady friends, is
truly love.
Obviously, this little
girl was taught well at
a young age (but no age
is too young), that a
woman is submissive to a
man when she loves him.
I wonder where she got
such an idea. Or maybe
I'm just full of
malarkey ... Mayyybe she
just knew instinctively
because she was young
and innocent and she
lived in a time and
environment where the
world didn't reach young
girls as quickly as it
does today.
You can tell by her
soul-mate's words about
her that she never
traded up her virtue her
whole life!

God made
women to be submissive.
To go against that,
you're trying to be
something that you're
not. When a person does
that, they find
dissatisfaction and when
you're not satisfied
with yourself, how can
you serve God or His
people in that state of
mind? To be submissive
is not
defeat. It's not
degrading. It's
not weakness.
It's God's will.
This is a topic that
you'll definitely want
to meditate (think and
rethink) about. The
woman who finds the
TRUTH and humbles
herself to it, will find
that inside, she's a
much happier woman
because it takes honor
to be submissive ...
Oh, and one more thing
... Can you even imagine
... For one moment
... Jesus' bride being
dominating? It's
embarrassing to even
think about it, isn't
it?
Now, the rest of Verse
25:

... and she
shall
rejoice in
time to
come. |
If you clothe yourself
with strength and honor,
if you be gracious and
godly, not only do you
get to enjoy the benefit
of knowing in your heart
that you’re doing your
very best to walk the
Christian woman’s walk
of faith, but you will
have rewards ahead of
you as well ... Eternal
rewards.
Maybe there are some
things that you might
want to write down ...
Goals ... Sticky notes
for reminders ... Every
effort you make toward
being more virtuous is a
step in the right
direction.
