Are you eager to
learn more TRUTH today?
GREAT!
The saying “Idle hands
are the devil’s
workshop,” holds much
TRUTH. What exactly is
idle time?
|
Ecclesiastes
10:18
By much
slothfulness
the building
decayeth;
and through
idleness of
the hands
the house
droppeth
through. |
I would imagine that in
the Biblical sense, idle
time means time that you
are not being a
profitable servant to
the Lord.
If you're looking after
your household well,
time will be scarce for
idleness. Make sure that
the most important part
of maintaining your home
… Your fortress … Your
temple … Is time alone
with your Father. Your
worldly instincts (those
not instilled by God)
will make you ask, "What
am I supposed to do? Sit
home and read the Bible
all day?"

Blessed is
the man that
walketh not
in the
counsel of
the ungodly,
nor standeth
in the way
of sinners,
nor sitteth
in the seat
of the
scornful.

delight is
in the law
of the LORD;
and in His

Read the Bible all day?
If you think of what the
Bible really is ... A
love letter from God ...
You won't be able to put
it down.
How many times have you
sat and read a novel for
hours on end? But the
book written by your
beloved is less apt to
hold your interest?
Talk to God? (How silly,
why would anyone want to
just sit and spend time
with the One they're
betrothed to, and love
more than anyone on
Earth?) Think about that
a little deeper for a
moment. If you were in
love with someone on
Earth, you would want to
spend every waking
moment with them and
doing all you could for
them. But for GOD,
that just doesn't seem
practical to the world.
Chances are, you don't
know anyone who does
that, unless it is the
elderly who have had a
lifetime of chasing
after the world. Finally
in their last days,
they've recognized the
importance of
strengthening their
relationship with their
Lord and Savior because
they've realized ...
What if there really is
a hell, and what if they
aren't worthy of
entering into Paradise?
It's a shame that many
people think that they
should lead their lives
with God on the back
burner and catch up with
Him when they get old
and close to death. It's
not uncommon for folks
to think that
Christianity is a part
time position. I'll ask
you that famous question
once again ... How do
you think that makes God
feel? An even better
question is, how
wonderful do you think
your reward could be if
you make God THE
priority in your life,
from this very moment,
forward? The best news
is that you will begin
enjoying your rewards
immediately ... You
don't have to wait until
you get to Paradise.

Proverbs
8:17
I love them
that love
me; and
those that
seek me
early shall
find me.
|
Our God is peculiar. He
is special, like no one
else. His priorities are
different from the
world's priorities.
Simply idling will get
you nowhere. If the
world believes your
lifestyle in serving the
Lord is wrong, you can
bet that God is smiling
down on you. On the
highway to Heaven, God
wants to see a speeding
ticket on your record.
Dare to challenge the
world's expectations.
There is no speed limit
when you’re on the road
to righteousness. So
what are you waiting
for, step on the gas!

Keeping yourself busy
serving the Lord is one
of the best ways to
maintain your virtue.
The domestic work that
you do around your home,
serving your family, is
all considered serving
the Lord, because they
are His children and you
are setting a Christian
example for them.
No matter what it is you
do, whether it be fold a
shirt, or wash a dish,
or sweep a floor, do it
with the understanding
and intent that you're
doing it for your Lord,
and do the best you
possibly can. Be your
best in everything, and
your own little flock
will follow you. You
make an impression on
their little minds and
they will remember if
you were sloppy or
meticulous and God
willing, adopt the same
principles in the way
they do things.

Train up a
child in the
way he
should go:
and when he
is old, he
will not
depart from
it. |
As you can imagine,
keeping your children
busy with godly
activities is so vital
in keeping them from
getting interested in
the ways of the world
... And from adopting
laziness as a habit.
Television, as we
already discussed early
on in the program is a
sure fire way to instill
laziness and
worldly ideas in a
child. Another, is video
games. Nintendo, and the
like, are without a
doubt mostly violence,
and your child will
become a couch potato
because they get hooked
on it. Pretty soon
that's all they care to
do and their chores and
their lessons and
practically everything
is neglected while they
waste their life
pressing little buttons
with eyes glued to a
monitor. Video games are
definitely idle time.
Don't get me wrong, I'm
sure there are some
video games that are
fine, but be sure you
limit your child's
playing time for your
own sake as well as
theirs, and make sure
the games they are
playing are wholesome
and righteous because
some are down right
evil.
So, what kind of other
things can you do with
your time so that it
isn't idle?
Cooking, cleaning,
reading, gardening,
sewing, singing,
teaching, crafts,
studying, board games,
crosswords, discussions,
home maintenance and
repair, donating your
services to the needy,
teach yourself how to
play an instrument,
write psalms to God, you
name it! There are so
many honorable
activities to do, all
you have to do is think
for a minute or two, and
you can surely come up
with something. If you
really put your mind to
it, you'll find so much
to do that you won't
have enough
time to do it all!
GET BUSY! And if you're
busy, you don't have
time to be a busy-body
either!
ALL DONE?
I bet you thought we
were all done for today,
didn't cha? But we
haven't touched much on
the subject of honor,
have we? Let's talk
about that for a moment,
shall we? Now, you know,
we've talked about this
before, but it's a
matter that bears
repeating, for sure.
Remember the part about
Jesus saying that a
Prophet is not without
honor except in his home
country? Okay, we've
talked about your
honor throughout this
whole program, but we're
gonna be a little
repetative about the
topic of honor for a
while longer, K?
Think about Jesus for a
moment. A more honorable
soul, you will never
find. Yet His own
siblings made fun of
Him.

John 7:3-5
His brethren
therefore
said unto
Him, Depart
hence, and
go into
Judaea, that
thy
disciples
also may see
the works
that thou
doest. For
there is no
man that
doeth any
thing in
secret, and
he himself
seeketh to
be known
openly. If
thou do
these
things, shew
thyself to
the world.

brethren
believe in

"Go ahead," they
taunted Him, "Go and
show your miracles so
that your believers can
see what you can do,
because nobody does
anything without wanting
credit for it."
Honor.
Do you believe that
Jesus was seeking for
honor? Or did He simply
want people to be saved?
Now, consider your own
life, and who you
represent. You will be
taunted and made fun of
and mocked, not only by
friends and
acquaintances, but by
your own loved ones ...
Your very own family ...
And they will even
believe that they are
doing a God service by
shunning you:

John 16:1-2
These things
have I
spoken unto
you, that ye
should not
be offended.
They shall
put you out
of the
synagogues:
yea, the
time cometh,
that
whosoever
killeth you
will think
that he
doeth God
service. |
But Jesus never gave up.
No matter what. And He's
counting on you to
represent the kind of
honor that He displayed
His whole life. We
sometimes think of this
as a difficult task, but
it is an honor. We
are His
legacy. He has hope in
you, to walk the walk,
to fight the good fight,
to endure, to sustain,
to uphold, to defend, to
stand firm. He chose
you, and that's why
you're here, seeking a
helping hand, trying,
striving to live a godly
life in an ungodly
world.
And my friend, never
forget, God's grace. It
is what
gives us the strength to
carry on and fulfill the
mission that He has
called us to accomplish.
Be proud. Be strong. Be
you. Be diligent. Be
alert. Be an honorable
woman.
